Freedom of Religion ... for Who?

The very first freedom, liberty, in our individual Bill of Rights is the freedom of religion and the free exercise thereof. America does not have any state-sponsored religion, and truly, the Separation of Church and State letter of Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Convention of Connecticut was not intended to be a restriction upon our American Judeo-Christian faith heritage. It is intended as an ideal to protect the Church from the incursions and tyranny of the State. That is evidenced by the actions of King Henry VIII in his establishment of the Church of England. Sadly, we have come to a point in America where the secular humanist Marxists, in conjunction with Islamists, seek to undermine the foundation of Western civilization and that Judeo-Christian faith heritage.

Consider how, in 1962, the US Supreme Court ruled, 6-1, in Engel v Vitale that state-sponsored, voluntary, non-denominational prayer in public schools is unconstitutional. I think it is imperative to remember that the first mention of state-controlled education was in Karl Marx’s Communist Manifesto, as one of the fundamental planks. Today, we see Marxist leftists bringing lawsuits about the display of the Ten Commandments in schools, although the Ten Commandments are the basis of Western civilization’s law. And never forget that it is the face of Moses that looks down upon the Speaker’s rostrum in the United States House of Representatives. Not too long ago, in Kennedy v Bremerton, we had a landmark Supreme Court 6-3 ruling affirming that a public high school coach, Joseph Kennedy, had the right to pray silently at midfield after football games. Of course, the three dissenting Justices were all leftists.

Recently, we saw Marxist leftist anti-ICE insurrectionists burst into a church in Minneapolis; the left feels they had a right to do so. Recall that a Pennsylvania man had his home raided by armed federal agents during the Biden administration and was sentenced to years in prison for the crime of praying outside a clinic that dismembers unborn babies.

Marxists have joined with Islamists in their disdain and advocacy of the elimination and eradication of the Jewish people, as seen in the countless pro-Hamas riots.

So, with this backdrop, I found it quite interesting, hypocritical, earlier this week on Monday, that four Muslim women in hijabs were passing out Qurans and hijabs at Wylie East HS in Wylie, Texas, not far from where I live in Garland. The video shows a young student at Wylie East HS addressing the issue of why these members of an organization called “Why Islam?” were actually given a table outside the student cafeteria to distribute their religious, oops, totalitarian, theocratic-political propaganda. How often do we hear about Christian conservative organizations being denied the freedom of assembly on High School and college/university campuses?

Something tells me that the leadership in the Wylie Independent School District (ISD) has some ‘splaining to do.

However, let me take some time to revisit this topic. I have written a piece on Islam, which means submission, and its compliance with our American constitutional values. I also penned a piece called “The Fall of Islam,” which provides a summary history of this dangerous ideology. Why would I call it dangerous?

Here are a few examples from the Quran, which means recitation. Remember, Mohammed was illiterate; he could not read or write.

Believers, take neither the Jews nor the Christians for your friends. (Sura 5:51)
Infidels are those who declare: “God is the Christ, the son of Mary.” (Sura 5:17)
Infidels are those who say “God is one of three in a Trinity.” (Sura 5:73)
Make war on the infidels who dwell around you. (Sura 9:123, 66:9)
The infidels are your sworn enemies. (Sura 4:101)
When you meet the infidel on the battlefield, strike off their heads. (Sura 47:4)
Mohammed is Allah’s apostle. Those who follow him are ruthless to the infidels. (Sura 48:29)
Kill the disbelievers wherever we find them. (Sura 2:191)
The only reward of those who make war upon Allah and His messenger…will be that they will be killed or crucified, or have their hands and feet on alternate sides cut off, or will be expelled out of the land. (Sura 5:33)
Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even of they are) of the People of the Book [Christians], until they pay the jizya [submission tax] with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. (Sura 9:29)
Never be a helper to the disbelievers. (Sura 28:86)

Needless to say, I could go on, but this is in the book, the Quran, that the four Muslim women were seeking to hand out at Wylie East HS. These verses, among many others, are in the book that Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison and New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani took their oath of office upon. Ya gotta ask, how can these two, and any others, uphold their oath to our Constitution when the Quran commands that there is no other law higher than Islam, Sharia Law?

Yep, Houston, we have a problem, and there is, truthfully, only one way to rectify this issue. It is time we stop acquiescing, compromising, and submitting to the world’s most intolerant system of belief. Always remember that any Muslim who departs Islam is considered an apostate, punishable by death. I, for one, will defend the freedom of religion and the free exercise thereof, but I will not consent to the self-destruction of my Country.
