We have been experiencing unexplained drone sightings at sensitive military sites for several years now. In some cases, we have arrested Chinese spies. But often we never get a satisfactory explanation.
There was a report last week that the FBI picked up intelligence suggesting Iran may attempt to attack targets along the West Coast using drones. Some said the danger was exaggerated, and others said it was real.
Here’s the latest disturbing report: unidentified drones have been detected over Fort McNair Army Base in Washington, D.C., where Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth live.
Except for homegrown attacks—and not counting Joe Biden’s illegal alien invasion at the border—we’ve enjoyed relative territorial immunity here in the homeland for a long time. But in an era of relatively cheap drones capable of inflicting serious damage, we can no longer count on that immunity.
When we have a president like Donald Trump, J.D. Vance, or Marco Rubio, you can be confident they will do everything possible to keep the homeland safe. But when we get a president from the other party—no matter how much they try to rebrand as a “trans moderate” after starting out as a leftist—security will plummet.
This is the same party that, even now with all these mounting threats, is keeping the Department of Homeland Security defunded and shut down—as the long lines at major airports attest.
Iran’s Best Assets
At some point, President Trump will decide that we have accomplished most of our objectives in the conflict with Iran, and it’s time to wind down military operations. When that time comes, Democrats and their leftist allies will declare anything less than Iran’s total capitulation as a defeat.
“Iran beat Donald Trump,” they will say, and “Iran beat the United States military.” Or, at best, “It’s a draw.”
That’s insane even for them, but it shows how filled with hatred they are for Trump. In addition, they hate the idea of a revival of patriotism, love of country, and the belief that we can accomplish anything if we set our minds to it. Don’t forget—Democrats were furious at the idea that the U.S. Army would march in Washington, D.C., to celebrate its 250th anniversary last year.
All they’ve preached for decades is the opposite of American greatness: our history is terrible, the Founders were evil, America is the cause of all the world’s problems, we’re causing the Earth to heat up, we must cut back lifestyles, we need to “fundamentally transform” the country, and on and on and on.
You can see it in the way they are reacting to the conflict in Iran. One commentator put it this way: What if we were in a war and the enemy killed all our top leaders—the president, the vice president, the speaker of the House, the director of the CIA, the director of the FBI, and top military officers—and every one of their replacement leaders was immediately killed, too?
What if that enemy also destroyed all of our missiles, sunk our entire navy, bombed our top nuclear facility to smithereens, and our population was starving and on the verge of revolt?
Would anyone say the United States had fought that enemy to a draw? Of course not—that’s absurd! Yet that is the standard some are applying to Iran. It will take them a decade to get back to where they were on February 27th, before the conflict began.
Without discernment, people are easily fooled—especially with nonstop “news” indoctrination. The only thing that hasn’t been weakened in this war is the American media’s commitment to always supporting our enemies and never us. Iran’s biggest asset remains the American media and the defeatist Democrats.
By the way, the Iranian regime yesterday publicly executed a 19-year-old national wrestling champion. His crime? Participating in the January protests against the regime’s brutality and corruption. Yet Democrats and the American media are siding with these tyrants.
Quote Of The Day
Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) appeared on a podcast this week and was asked, “Who is leading the Democrat Party today?” His response was revealing.
The senator replied, “We don’t have one. I think TDS [Trump Derangement Syndrome], is the leader right now. Right now, our party is governed by TDS.”
Rand Goes Rogue
Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) is filled with political hatred for the president over petty things nobody even understands. He’s become a total renegade, and his contrarian streak was on full display during Wednesday’s confirmation hearing for Markwayne Mullin, President Trump’s nominee to lead the Department of Homeland Security.
As chairman of the Senate’s Homeland Security Committee, Paul refused to allow fellow Senator Katie Britt (R-AL) to introduce Mullin at the beginning of the hearing, which is a normal routine practice in the Senate.
It’s no secret that Mullin and Paul don’t like each other personally. But as the Republican committee chairman, Paul is expected to put his personal issues aside and help advance, rather than hinder, the president’s agenda. Instead, he engaged in shouting matches with Mullen that would have been expected from the most unhinged Democrats.
It wouldn’t be a perfect trade, but I’m willing to consider a swap: we get Fetterman and they get Paul. In support of my point, Rand Paul voted against the president’s nominee for secretary of Homeland Security yesterday and Fetterman voted for him.
Rama’s Raw Hatred
As the first Muslim mayor of New York City, Zohran Mamdani is already very weak when it comes to condemning antisemitism and violence against Jews. So, I have no expectation that he will condemn the raw antisemitism of his wife, Rama Duwaji.
Duwaji’s social media accounts are cesspools of antisemitism. We already knew that she praised the October 7, 2023, Hamas massacre of innocent Israelis. But, evidently, her Jew-hatred is nothing new. Even as a teenager, Duwaji was praising Palestinian terrorists and calls for genocide.
She posted photos of Leila Khaled, the first female Palestinian plane hijacker. Duwaji posted a photo celebrating the First Intifada that killed 200 Israelis.
On International Women’s Day in 2015, she reposted a tweet praising Shadia Abu Ghazaleh, one of the first Palestinian female terrorists who bombed Israeli buses. The Palestinian Authority named two schools after her.
She reposted a message that accused U.S. soldiers of “mercilessly slaughtering civilians,” as well as a message that claimed White people created Al Qaeda. She also reposted another message that said Tel Aviv should not exist.
But that’s not all. In addition to her blatant antisemitism, she also used the “N-word” in her social media posts.
As an aside, Democrat Muhammad Casima in deep Blue Prince William County, Virginia, lost big after old tweets surfaced showing he used the N-word repeatedly, along with other horrible comments.
Mayor Mamdani has tried to dismiss concerns about his wife’s antisemitism by claiming she is just a private citizen. But the first lady of New York City is not just “a private citizen.” She has the ear, and the heart, of the man who leads America’s largest city.
Inflation Fears
Rising oil and gas prices stemming from the conflict in the Middle East are raising fears of inflation. The conventional wisdom says that as oil prices rise, so does inflation, making it imperative for the Federal Reserve to not lower interest rates. This is backwards thinking.
It’s true that as oil goes up, the price of other things will go up. But if people are paying more for the same amount of gasoline, that decreases economic growth and should cause the Federal Reserve to lower rates. You raise interest rates when the economy is hot, and you cut them when the economy is cold.
But it looks like the left-wing bureaucrats at the Federal Reserve just don’t want President Trump to get any credit for a strong economy, so they keep delaying interest rate cuts.
During the Biden years, inflation was horrific. Democrats and the media blamed it on “Putin’s price hike” caused by the war in Ukraine while pushing the narrative that Joe Biden had nothing to do with it. But his weakness is what invited Russia’s attack on Ukraine in the first place, making him responsible.
But one economic analyst pointed out that inflation was already at 7.5% under Biden in January 2022. Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. In other words, we were already in big trouble before the Ukraine war started.
The current inflation rate is 2.4%. That means we have a lot of leeway before we get anywhere close to where it was under the last Democrat president.
Terror Hits The Homeland
Since March 1, there has been a wave of threats and terrorist attacks on our homeland. As Christians, we should not let this violence cause us to embrace fear or hatred. But we must understand what motivates these attacks.
