After 21 hours of negotiations failed to convince the Iranian regime to give up its nuclear ambitions, Vice President J.D. Vance left Pakistan Saturday evening and returned to the United States. President Trump announced that the United States Navy would begin mine-sweeping operations to clear the Strait of Hormuz, and also implement a blockade of Iranian ports.
 
Iran has been allowing ships from nations friendly to the regime to enter and exit the strait safely. (Communist China buys the vast majority of Iran’s oil.) At the same time, Iran prevented ships from nations allied with the United States and Europe from entering or exiting the strait.
 
President Trump knows how to turn an opponent’s weapon against them. So, he announced that we are closing Iran’s ports, just as he did to Venezuela. Iran was only allowing enemies of the West to get oil, and that gambit is now over. That means virtually no oil revenue for the Iranian regime.
 
Nobody but God knows how this will play out. We must continue to pray for a resolution that ends the Iranian nuclear threat. We should thank God that Kamala Harris is not president of the United States.
 
If Harris had won, Iran would already have a nuclear bomb, and she would do nothing about it. We would soon learn Iran had complete control of the Strait of Hormuz because the worst nation in the world would have the worst weapons in the world.
 
Harris has signaled she intends to run again in 2028, and she could win. Forty percent of the country appears to have gone insane, and she came close to winning last time.
 
 
 
Americans Get It
 
Democrats and their media allies are doing everything they can to undermine the morale of the American people in the conflict against Iran. But a new survey by pollster Scott Rasmussen strongly suggests their efforts are failing. Here are the key results: 

• 64% of voters do not trust Iran to honor any pledge it makes to stop producing nuclear weapons. Only 25% expressed a willingness to trust the Iranian regime. That’s the core base of the Democrat Party. 

• 53% of voters said it was more important to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons than it was to “end the war.” 

• 60% said it was more important to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons than it was to keep gas prices low. 

Clearly, the American people understand the high stakes in this conflict, and they want President Trump to finish the job.
 
 
 
New York vs. The Nuns
 
The state of New York is attempting to force Catholic nuns caring for terminally ill patients to adopt transgender ideology or else. They are ordering nuns at Catholic-run nursing homes to put men claiming to be women in women’s rooms, even if the women object. They are also ordering nuns to call these men by female names and pronouns.
 
Not surprisingly, the Dominican sisters of Rosary Hill Home are refusing to violate the Church’s teachings related to clear biological and biblical truth.
 
This is what the LGBTQ movement and its Democrat allies do anywhere they get power. They campaign on tolerance and “live and let live.” But when they get power, they govern with an “iron fist.”
 
While there were 55,000 complaints against other nursing homes in New York (approximately 23 per facility), there were no complaints against the facilities run by the nuns. But that doesn’t matter. The point isn’t patient safety or quality of care. The point is to force Christians to bow before the altar of the Left’s secular humanist religion.
 
Democrats are demanding that the sisters be forced to attend reeducation sessions to be indoctrinated in transgender ideology. (That sounds like Communist China.) If they refuse, they can be fined. Their facility licenses may be revoked.
 
They may even be sent to jail for a year. And in “progressive” New York, the sisters might find themselves sharing a jail cell with a man claiming to be a woman!
 
This disturbing assault on religious liberty is another reminder that while some Christians may not be interested in politics and government, leftist politicians and leftist-controlled governments are very interested in us.
 
The sisters are suing the state of New York in federal court. If their case reaches the Supreme Court, I am confident they will prevail thanks to President Trump’s three conservative appointees. That is another reminder that elections have consequences. If Hillary Clinton had made those three appointments instead of Trump, neither the nuns nor us would have a prayer.
 
 
 
What Were They Thinking?
 
It hasn’t even been a year yet since Charlie Kirk was assassinated on the campus of Utah Valley University (UVU), but administrators at UVU are already spitting on his grave.
 
Charlie Kirk brought the conservative philosophy to America’s university campuses. More importantly, he brought Christianity to those campuses. Many Democrat politicians hated him for it, and his death was celebrated by sick Marxists and transgender ideologues, among others.
 
Kirk’s assassination and the Left’s macabre celebration of his brutal murder will forever stain the history of Utah Valley University and haunt the memories of the 2025-2026 graduating class. So, you would think university officials would be extremely careful and extra diligent in making their selection for a 2026 commencement speaker. But, no.
 
The university disgustingly announced that former history teacher and author Sharon McMahon will be this year’s commencement speaker. McMahon was among the many leftists who enthusiastically smeared Charlie Kirk and his supporters after he was gunned down while exercising his First Amendment rights.
 
McMahon wrote on social media, “A public assassination does not erase the harm many experienced from his words, and the ensuing actions his followers took.” Her statement stops just short of actually endorsing political assassinations because some people “feel they were harmed” by Kirk’s words!
 
Can you be any more vile and disgusting than this? What are Utah Valley University administrators trying to demonstrate by this invitation other than their sheer hatred for conservative ideas?
 
 
 
Swalwell Surrenders
 
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) dropped out of the race for governor of California Sunday after a series of credible accusations that he sexually assaulted multiple women. He never should have been in the race or in Congress to begin with.
 
But don’t think that the Democrat Party has suddenly discovered the importance of sexual purity. They have maliciously used false claims of sexual assault and harassment against virtually every Republican Supreme Court nominee in the last 25 years. This is all about one thing—power.
 
There are many ambitious Democrats running for governor in California. Under the state’s jungle primary system, all candidates from every party appear on the same primary ballot, and only the top two vote-getters move on to the general election. Because so many Democrats are splitting the vote, two Republicans have been leading the polls, and Democrats were panicking that they might be shutout of the November election.
 
Democrats will do whatever they have to do to win. Swalwell wasn’t driven out of the race by a slow drip, drip, drip of accusations. He was hit with an avalanche of opposition research. Virtually all of Swalwell’s vote will go to other Democrats, and the odds are now overwhelming that one Democrat will break into the top two and emerge as a candidate for the general election.
 
Swalwell’s campaign for governor is over, and his congressional career may be over, too. Several Democrats are calling for his resignation and even threatening to vote to expel him.
 
And that’s not the least of his troubles. The Manhattan District Attorney’s office is investigating Swalwell for sexual assault. He is also facing a federal investigation for hiring an illegal alien nanny and paying her with campaign funds.
 
 
 
Never Again
 
Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) began last evening in Israel with a solemn ceremony at Yad Vashem and will continue throughout the day today. During his address, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said:
 
“Year after year I stand here. I have pledged at the Holocaust Remembrance Day ceremony: We will not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons. And as Prime Minister of Israel, I have promised: ‘There will not be a second Holocaust.’
 
"This year, we turned that promise into reality. We dealt the regime of terror in Iran the hardest blow in its history. The regime is weaker than ever. Most of its military assets are gone…”
 
President Trump issued a special message in recognition of Yom HaShoah, declaring:
 
“As our Nation marks these Days of Remembrance, we honor the memory of all who were murdered and vow to never forget the victims of the Holocaust—the most heinous violation of human dignity in the history of the world.
 
"Together, we reaffirm our solemn obligation to stand guard against antisemitism in every form and carry forward the enduring legacy of the more than 6 million innocent souls of the Holocaust with vigilance and unwavering resolve. May the memories of all who perished forever be a blessing.”
