New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s endorsed slate of Marxists won their Democrat Party primaries Tuesday night. All three will be elected to Congress in November from their heavily Democrat districts. When Mamdani endorsed these Marxists, it’s notable that he approvingly quoted an Italian communist leader from the 1920s.
These results should be a “wake-up call.” It would be a dangerous mistake to dismiss these leftist victories as a fluke isolated to left-wing New York City. This rot is spreading to every city.
The mayor of Seattle is a socialist. The incoming mayor of Washington, D.C., is a socialist. There is a good chance that the new mayor of Los Angeles will be a socialist. A socialist recently won a Democrat congressional primary in Philadelphia.
Radical Marxism is sweeping America’s big cities. Socialists are being elected to school boards and city councils. They control the teachers’ unions, and they are in your child’s classroom.
The Defeated Democrats
Two Marxists on Mamdani’s “hate slate” defeated incumbent Democrat congressmen Tuesday night. Rep. Dan Goldman was a Trump-hating Democrat who led the first impeachment effort against Trump. He was on the left of the Left. But he lost in a blowout to someone even more radical.
Goldman lost for one reason: He is a Jew who didn’t hate Israel enough. That was the dominant issue of the campaign. That’s why 66% of the 10th Congressional District voted against him.
The closest race was in the 13th District, where Darializa Avila Chevalier (aka DAC) defeated Rep. Adriano Espaillat by three points. Espaillat has the dubious distinction of being “the first former undocumented immigrant” (illegal alien) elected to Congress. He’s also chairman of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.
But that wasn’t good enough. Hispanics are only useful to Democrats when they are illegally crossing the border. If they aren’t bashing America and Israel and hating Christians and Jews, they’ve got to go.
It shouldn’t surprise us when 55% of Democrats say they want to live in another country. They’re not proud of America. They’re not celebrating the Fourth of July. Many of these people haven’t been voting before because Democrats were nominating “normal” liberals who weren’t hating enough. But they have found their haters now. (See next item.)
One columnist notes that Avila Chevalier will be the most radical member of Congress “since Vito Marcantonio represented the same area in the 1940s.” Who is Vito Marcantonio? He was a communist and one of Zohran Mamdani’s heroes.
The Red/Green Alliance
The unholy alliance of Marxism and Islamism won another victory Tuesday night in New York’s 32nd State Senate District. Aber Kawas, a Hamas supporter also endorsed by Mamdani, won the Democrat primary in spite of blaming the 9/11 attacks on “capitalism and white supremacy.”
In other words, it’s America’s fault that Islamofascists attacked us on 9/11 and murdered 3,000 of our fellow citizens. Somehow that got her elected to the New York State Senate. My heart breaks for the decent people who live in that state.
The Power Of Populism
America will be governed by either right-wing populism or left-wing populism. Donald Trump understands that. It’s one reason why the Republican Party establishment hates him and the MAGA movement.
Conservatives had the Tea Party movement 15 years ago. We had the Parents Revolt five years ago. But Mamdani’s Marxist movement already shows every indication of being bigger and more successful than either of the movements on the Right.
The Marxists are doing it by expanding the electorate. Mamdani won a majority of the vote in a three-way race with the highest voter turnout in more than 50 years. These Marxists attract voters by using populist rhetoric about the working class, affordability, living wages, healthcare for all, etc.
But that’s really a secondary set of priorities.
Powered By Hate
What is the real agenda of this rising Marxist movement? What gets them out of bed in the morning? They hate America. They want this great experiment in ordered liberty under God to end. They want to replace it with a Marxist-type regime.
They are committed to their Jew-hatred and their hatred of Christians. They are motivated by the same thing that caused Nazis in German beer halls to rally around Adolf Hitler in the 1930s.
They already have their own street army. These socialists cut their teeth by organizing pro-Hamas protests and encampments on university campuses.
Avila Chevalier attended a pro-Hamas rally on October 8, 2023—the day after Hamas slaughtered over 1,000 Israelis. She led an extremist group that called for “the total eradication of Western civilization.”
These people are not “community organizers” or “progressive activists.” They are Marxist revolutionaries!
They battled police in the streets. They occupied buildings and took janitors hostage. They are able to turn out thousands in the streets at a moment’s notice. And they can do it in every major city.
Remember the radical “defund the police” crowd? These Marxists want no police, no prisons and no borders. Obviously, they are pro-abortion, pro-LGBTQ rights and want restrictions on our religious liberty. The Democrats they are defeating support anti-family, anti-God things, too.
What makes these Marxists so dangerous is their outright hatred of Jews, Christians, Israel and America.
Avila Chevalier, who like Mamdani is also a Muslim, hates America. She once said that she forgot to get napkins at a restaurant, so she wiped the dirt off her hands on an American flag behind her.
She posted that on social media because she wanted people to know how much she hated our country. That is what gets you votes in districts like this. She also called the United States “a f—king disgrace.”
We are facing a political epidemic that will be far worse than the epidemic of COVID. People will die, and our freedom may die if these radicals succeed in gaining power.
No Such Thing
Every one of these Marxist Democrats is yelling, “Free Palestine!” Don’t be confused. There is no country called “Palestine.” There is Gaza, which is occupied by Hamas and is at war with Israel.
But where is this “Palestine”? As comedian Jerry Seinfeld put it, “There’s no such thing.”
There has never been a nation called “Palestine.” That name was given to a geographic region when it was occupied by Rome. It was a deliberately chosen name to mock the Jews who lived there for thousands of years.
When Hamas sympathizers and their Marxist allies chant, “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” they’re not talking about Gaza. They’re talking about the destruction of Israel. They are calling for genocide.
They are telling Israelis, “You won’t be safe until Palestine is free"—free of Jews. In other words, "Get out of Israel! And don’t come to New York because you won’t be safe here either.”
It’s Mamdani’s Party Now
There were two other big losers in New York Tuesday night—Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer and House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries. The leaders of the Democrat Party couldn’t save their own incumbents from an upstart mayor and his Marxist hordes.
Make no mistake about it: Zohran Mamdani is the leader of the Democrat Party now. Schumer and Jeffries are impotent relics. One House Democrat called Tuesday night’s results a “huge defeat” for his party’s leadership.
Last year, Zohran Mamdani mobilized more than 100,000 volunteers in his conquest of New York City. He anointed these Marxist candidates and unleashed his army on their behalf.
Nancy Pelosi, Hakeem Jeffries and the Democrat Congressional Campaign Committee supported the incumbents and other candidates who got crushed. Will any major media outlet run a headline saying, “Democrats Leaders Losing Control of Their Party”? Of course not.
Jeffries just suffered a major defeat at the hands of radical socialists. But the media are too busy writing headlines declaring that Trump’s power over the GOP is waning.
What else do we know about Mamdani? He was born in Uganda. His mother said, “He is not an Uhmericcan (American) at all… He thinks of himself as a Ugandan and as an Indian.” She was bragging about her son not being “American at all.”
So, we now have a foreign-born Marxist Muslim as the leader of the Democrat Party who doesn’t think of himself as an American helping to elect America-haters to public office. Isn’t diversity grand?
Speaking of diversity, it’s no coincidence that these anti-American Marxists are being elected in congressional districts with large numbers of foreign-born residents.
What Now?
Some Republicans are saying that Tuesday night’s results are great news for the GOP because “We’ll clobber these socialists on Election Day.” That analysis is dead wrong, and it raises the danger that we will lose the country.
Conservatives and Republicans can’t stick their hands in the sand and ignore what is happening. I have said it before, and I will keep saying it: This is not Ronald Reagan’s America.
There are vastly more self-identified socialists (26%) on university faculties than Republicans (7%). They have controlled the educational establishment at every level for the past 30 years.
Now, the voters they have created and the voters Democrats have imported into the country are putting the survival of America in jeopardy just as we are about to celebrate our 250th birthday.
