To me, Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW) is not an issue between Right and Left – it’s an issue between right and wrong. Several years ago, in 2007, I discussed the “triple crown of cooling” theory on The O'Reilly Factor. More appropriately, it’s the Triple Crown of Climate, and it’s not new. It’s been the foundation of climate cycle theory until the recent hysteria over CO2 came to the forefront. It was taught for years that the sun, the oceans and stochastic events (such as volcanoes) are far and away the major climate drivers.

I did not dream these things up on my own. It’s been taught for decades. Somehow, we are now hearing about the sun being a major factor in the climate, as if this is a new discovery. It’s the conductor of the climatic orchestra. Here’s a good paper on this matter by Habibullo I Abdussamatov of the Pulkovo Observatory in St. Petersburg.

As for the oceans, nothing sums up the idea better than this paper by Colorado State’s Dr. Bill Gray. Included in this piece are Gray’s theories on global temperatures which he first introduced in the 1970s! Gray forecasted the turn around we are now witnessing before the hiatus was even acknowledged.

Yet we now have the “dog ate my homework excuse” with alarmists claiming the missing heat is hiding in the ocean. Either these people are ignoring the evidence in the paper, or they simply haven’t read it and believe they have made some “brilliant” discovery.

Additionally, temperatures have begun declining, as I predicted on The O'Reilly using Dr. Gray’s ideas.

As for stochastic events, check out this nice read on what just one volcano in the tropical areas can do. This paper discusses the cooling that occurred following the eruption Mt. Pinatubo in the Philippines in 1991.

The fact is, nowhere in the history of the earth is there any climate event that could be blamed on man. With all the the ups and downs that have occurred, there is a natural cause for all of them. So why the hysteria now? More importantly, given the agenda of people driving this, are they even capable of distinguishing right from wrong?

It’s time we look at what’s right and whats wrong, and make decisions based on that.
