The Patriot Post® · Obama Thinks Americans Are Lazy, Imperfect?
President Obama stood on foreign soil and declared that Americans are lazy and the nation is imperfect. This guy really doesn’t like us, does he?
The president’s latest USA shaming took place during a town hall gathering at the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative Town Hall in Laos.
“And I’ll be honest, everywhere we go, including here at ASEAN, sometimes people say, ‘Ah, why are the Americans talking about these issues? This is none of their business; they shouldn’t be meddling in other people’s business. And also, America is not perfect. Look, it still has racial discrimination. It still has its own problems. It should worry about its own problems,” he said.
Really, Mr. President? Everywhere you go people are telling you that America is not perfect?
“And I agree with that in the sense that we definitely do still have problems we have to work on,” he continued. “We still have discrimination. We still have situations where women are not treated equally.”
Our commander in chief doesn’t seem sold on the notion that we are an exceptional nation.
The president went on to lecture students about the importance of treating everybody with “dignity and respect.”
Now, that’s pretty ironic coming from the man who once described people who own guns and go to church as bitter Americans.
President Obama also suggested Americans are lazy.
“If you’re in the United States, sometimes you can feel lazy and think we’re so big we don’t have to really know anything about other people,” he said.
So the man who’s played 186 rounds of golf since putting his hand on the Bible is calling us lazy?
Now, I also want to point out another moment in the president’s speech — when he bragged about how you can get “really good food” in America’s big cities.
I beg to differ, Mr. President.
Just try finding a glass of sweet tea in New York City or a buttermilk biscuit or a Goo-Goo Cluster.
Good luck with that.
