Donald Trump recently told supporters that Hillary Clinton “wouldn’t have a chance” without the media’s support. He is probably right.

Recent revelations by Wikileaks prove beyond any doubt that we do not have an independent press. The so-called “mainstream media” are willing mouthpieces for Democrat propaganda. And the collusion with the left is all designed to demoralize conservatives and pre-determine the outcome of elections.

Here are just a few examples of the media’s collusion with the Clinton campaign:

CNBC’s John Harwood — who was allowed to moderate a Republican primary debate — often emailed Hillary’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, telling him how “good” or “strong” Hillary was. Harwood congratulated Podesta on Hillary’s primary victories over Bernie Sanders. In one case, Harwood wrote Podesta about a story he was working on and how it was something “she wants.” In other messages, Harwood provided talking points on the GOP candidates or various issues.

DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile sent an email to Jennifer Palmieri, Clinton’s communications director, telling Palmieri, “From time to time I get the questions in advance.” Brazile shared a question about the death penalty. The next day, Hillary was asked a nearly identical question during a CNN town hall event. We also know that Clinton has gotten other questions in advance.

A New York Times reporter emailed Palmieri about a story he was writing on Hillary. The reporter told Palmieri, “You could veto what you didn’t want.”

The Clinton campaign was coordinating its messaging with Univision.

We know from other Wikileaks that even Chelsea Clinton has concerns about the corruption at the Clinton Foundation and that a liberal journalist thought Hillary lied “candidly.” Of course, she does. She has had a lot of practice.

Not surprisingly, the Media Research Center notes that the big three networks have devoted 15 times more coverage to Trump’s decade-old comments than to Hillary’s Wikileaks revelations.

Mocking Faith

We also learned from leaks [yesterday] that Hillary’s top campaign operatives and their left-wing allies were mocking conservative Catholics and evangelicals.

In one exchange, Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta discusses with a left-wing activist plans for infiltrating the Catholic Church to achieve a “Catholic Spring,” meaning a liberalizing of the church’s orthodox teachings. Podesta assured the activist that the left has already set up groups to do that.

In another exchange, John Halpin at the left-wing Center for American Progress (founded by Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta) emailed Jennifer Palmieri, who now serves as Clinton’s communications director, about a magazine article that described Rupert Murdoch’s decision to raise his children as Catholics.

Halpin wrote: “Friggin’ Murdoch baptized his kids in Jordan where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Many of the most powerful elements of the conservative movement are all Catholic … It’s an amazing bastardization of the faith.”

Palmieri replied, “I imagine they think it is the most socially acceptable politically conservative religion. Their rich friends wouldn’t understand if they became evangelicals.”

Karl Rove blasted the exchange as evidence of religious bigotry. “They mock deeply held beliefs. They mock the idea that two conservative Catholics would have their children baptized in the same river where John the Baptist baptized Jesus,” Rove said. “This is so insensitive … it really borders on religious bigotry… This is unacceptable and Hillary Clinton ought to repudiate it,” Rove added.

Brian Burch of CatholicVote.org called for Palmieri to be fired, saying, “Had Palmieri spoken this way about other groups, she would be dismissed.”

My friends, let me remind you that Hillary Clinton has said that “deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs have to be changed” in order to accommodate the left’s radical social agenda.

Sadly, some values voters are trashing Trump with the inevitable consequence that they will enable Hillary Clinton to become president. Their actions, if successful, will allow her to replace Justice Scalia, giving the left veto power over our First Amendment rights of free speech and religious liberty, as well as our Second Amendment rights of self-defense.

Going Forward

As you know, some Republican leaders and virtually the entire GOP consulting class are attempting to torpedo Donald Trump’s campaign. It would be foolish to suggest that their efforts are not making the task of defeating Hillary Clinton more difficult.

Trump understandably was calling out some of those individuals by name [Tuesday] night. But here’s what I would recommend he do: Use their actions to reinforce the major theme of his campaign — that there is a corrupt elite in Washington, mostly on the left but also within the Republican establishment, and their agenda is hurting Main Street and putting our country in grave danger.

This corrupt elite refuses to secure the border, forcing working class men and women to compete against illegal immigrants for jobs and straining local public services. Our sons and daughters can be sent to secure the border of Iraq, but our elites refuses to secure our own borders.

Their trade policies are gutting our manufacturing base, sending jobs overseas and forcing American workers to compete against the slave wages of Third World workers.

When our vets return from the Middle East, they are unable to get the care they deserve at the VA. Democrats covered up the incompetence, corruption and waste at the VA, but Republicans failed to bring anyone to justice or to significantly reform the agency. Republicans talk about tax reform, but it never happens. No one has gone to jail for the IRS scandal, Fast and Furious or Benghazi.

This is not a hard case to make. In fact, a new study has found that the number one “fear” Americans have right now is government corruption. The second greatest fear is terrorism.

Meanwhile, a new Gallup survey finds that 54% of Americans think the government is too big and doing too much. Only 41% of Americans think the government should do more.

On these major issues — political corruption, radical Islamic terrorism and the size of government — the American people side with Donald Trump!
