The Patriot Post® · The Myth of Space Invaders
If you were alive in the 1950s and watching movies or TV, you were fed a steady diet of sci-fi claptrap about earth being attacked by Martians, who all had very large heads and very long fingers. These days, you have to wonder if even back then the Democrats were trying to misdirect our attention to the skies while they laid the groundwork for the invasion from south of the border.
Speaking of which, one of the more blatant examples of hypocrisy is when black members of Congress excoriate Donald Trump and the Border Patrol for separating illegal alien parents from illegal alien children.
If the separation of families, especially those who bring about the separation by trying to illegally enter this country, is so heinous, why aren’t any of these legislators ever heard shaming their constituents over a 70% illegitimacy rate? Anyone who doesn’t recognize that as the single most important reason that so many more young black males go to jail than go to college, or graduate high school and get jobs, is intentionally ignoring the obvious.
Besides, what’s worse: separating parents and children temporarily or not having families to begin with?
But ignoring bad behavior by blacks isn’t limited to the U.S. Although the UN is constantly blaming the Israelis for responding to the violence committed against them, you never hear it reprimanding South Africa, where its thuggish president, Cyril Ramaphosa, is changing the constitution, making it lawful for blacks to steal the farms and homes of white citizens.
This is the same Cyril Ramaphosa whom Barack Obama recently praised to the skies as a champion of democracy.
Funny the way that apartheid became legitimate and perfectly acceptable once it was black people who were mistreating white people.
Generally, when someone is described as a civil rights leader, he or she is a race-hustler like Jesse Jackson, Charley Rangel, Maxine Waters, and Al Sharpton, a con artist who has lived long enough to cash in on white guilt.
Unfortunately, men like Sam Woodson are few and far between. He recently pointed out the inconvenient truth that whereas in the years between 1873 and 1950, 4,000 blacks were lynched in America, recently 6,000 blacks were killed in a single year. Mainly at the hands of other blacks.
But, as Woodson pointed out, to the annoyance of liberals of both races, when black mobs pull down Confederate statues, they’re ignoring the fact that historical monuments aren’t necessarily celebratory of past events or individuals.
He pointed out that the Holocaust Museum isn’t a tribute to Nazi brutality, but a way for people to be reminded of that which they must never forget.
But lest you get the idea that some white people can’t be as contemptible as some black people, we all got to see Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who desperately wants to become president in 2021 — or in the words of her people, the Heap Big Chief — take five seconds to extend her insincere condolences to the family of Mollie Tibbetts and “the people of Iowa” (who just happen to have the earliest caucus in presidential years) before letting us all know that it’s really illegal aliens who deserve our empathy.
The young man who murdered Ms. Tibbetts is not only an illegal alien, otherwise known as an undocumented Democrat, but has sired an anchor baby with one of his victim’s former classmates.
It also turns out that his employer at Yarrabee Farms, after first lying about it, later admitted he had not used E-Verify to confirm that Cristhian Bahena Rivera was in the country legally. I hope he goes to jail, but not before the victim’s survivors sue the schmuck for everything he has.
If I had my way, Rivera would have been in jail or deported just for spelling “Christian” that stupid way.
The leftist propaganda machine has been working overtime to convince us all that illegal aliens not only work harder than any of us native-born lay-a-bouts but are nicer, smell better, and are more law-abiding. It lies with such conviction that to even question its statements is to run the risk of being tarred and feathered as a racist.
Fortunately for all of us, when Tucker Carlson isn’t wasting his time and ours by inviting the silly likes of Richard Goodstein, Chris Hahn, and Kathy Areu, on his show, he is inviting grown-ups like Mark Steyn, Katie Hopkins, and Peter Kirsanow.
It was the last named who serves on the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and who disclosed the fact that not only are illegal aliens not more law-abiding than you and I, they are, in fact, 250% more likely to commit murder, rape, robbery, and aggravated assault than the native-born. It shouldn’t come as a big surprise that those whose first act in this country is one of a criminal nature, who come with no particular skills and, at most, rudimentary English, might be more inclined to commit felonies than someone who grew up in this culture.
Speaking of which, something that not enough of us ever think about is how lucky we are, including those of us whose ancestors came here from all four corners of the world, that this nation was settled and created by the English.
They spoke a common language, they came from a nation that had an oppressive king but also had a Magna Carta, and they were religious.
They had experienced oppression, but they also understood that certain rights were inalienable and were worth fighting and dying for. What’s more, they were convinced that God was on their side. And events proved them correct.
In going up against the greatest military force on earth at the time, our forefathers couldn’t help but take comfort from the tale of David vanquishing Goliath.
When, earlier in this article, I referred to the four corners of the earth, I realized that must be a carryover from the days when people thought the earth was flat and therefore actually had corners.
In much the same way, centuries after Copernicus set us straight, we continue to say that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, though we know perfectly well that the sun doesn’t budge and it’s we earthlings who are constantly going around in circles. Which probably explains why so many of us, liberals in particular, walk around in a dizzy daze.
I never approved of nondisclosure agreements because it allowed villains to keep their evil deeds hidden by simply bribing their victims with hush money. I don’t like it when it’s done by a pharmaceutical company, a car company, or by Donald Trump.
Frankly, I think it was a mistake for Trump to pay extortion to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal. After all, the man was elected in spite of the smutty tape being released a week before the election. I can’t see that his admitting to having had sex with the two women would have made an iota of difference. If anyone should have been annoyed, it was Melania, and she either knew, guessed, or simply didn’t care about his philanderings.
But I don’t get why it is that neither Daniels nor McDougal has been arrested for disclosing secrets they were supposed to take to their graves.
On the other hand, if the result of their breaking their contracts and getting away with it means that these things won’t be worth the paper they’re written on from now on, that would be a good thing.
I read a poll recently that reported that whereas 90% of the people who voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016 fully intend to vote in the midterm election, only 67% of those who voted for Donald Trump are equally committed.
I hope the poll is just another example of fake news. But if there is any truth to it, it’s a sad commentary on Republicans.
Are they really that desperate to return Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff, Waters, Blumenthal, and Warner to power? Are they really that anxious to stop congressional committees from investigating the Deep State Never-Trumpers squirreled away at the State Department, the FBI, and the Department of Justice?
Is it possible that Donald Trump was being prophetic when he announced that Americans would get tired of winning?
I bet even the great man never imagined they’d get tired quite this quickly.
