When I consider all the seemingly irrational things that Democrats promote, the only explanation for which is a blind lust for power, I am reminded of an Eric Hoffer quote: “Hatred is the most accessible and comprehensive of all the unifying agents. Mass movements can rise and spread without belief in a god, but never without belief in a devil.”

To which I would add that not even Atheists could have witnessed the burning and plundering carried out by the Fascists in Antifa and BLM over the past year and not believed in the existence of Satan.

Patrick Miano observed that “Feminists care about one thing above all: the absolute sanctity of the secular sacrament of unlimited abortion up to and sometimes after, the moment of birth. They no doubt support transgenders because they figure it adds more ‘women’ to their ranks. Don’t forget, all leftists are super sensitive to their standing in the leftist community. They know one accusation of some kind of ‘phobia’ or ‘ism,’ no matter how baseless, can destroy their careers and lives because they have done it to others. The left eats its own.”

“The problem,” I replied, “is that they never eat fast enough, and there are always leftovers.”

One of my followers at the Patriot Post took me to task after reading one of my diatribes about urban blacks, writing “You made a mistake when you referenced ‘millions of lazy, unskilled blacks collecting welfare.’ And then you added Haitians. You will receive criticism there, and you will deserve it. You will certainly add to the theme that ‘conservatism’ equates to ‘racism,’ which it does not.”

In response, I wrote: “Actually, you’re the first and only person who has called me out. I don’t say that in my defense, only as a factual matter.

"Furthermore, I do not think that the black race is inherently lazy. I do think, however, that the Democrats have taken advantage of their inclination to get paid for doing nothing but voting. Things that are true of individuals can also be true of groups. I see no other large group of Americans that, by and large, plays down education and either leaves their babies to be raised by single women or aborts them.

"It’s not Asians or Hispanics who whine about being over-represented in jail, but it’s also not Asians or Hispanics who commit over 50% of the violent crimes. And although blacks are 12% of the population, the actual percentage guilty of the criminal acts is probably around 2 or 3% because women don’t usually commit murder, rape or robbery, and neither do guys older than 35 or 40.”

In response, my prosecutor wrote: “With respect to Haitians, my impression of those who come to America is that they are quite industrious. It’s my impression is that they come to America seeking work, but I grant there is a danger that they can be bought off by the welfare drug.”

I replied: “I have nothing against Haitians, any more than I have a problem with Hondurans or Guatemalans. But we already have plenty of unskilled, illiterate, workers. I see no need to import more of them. And, frankly, I can’t imagine that in the entire history of mankind, anybody has ever said ‘What we need on this job are more Haitians.’ Not even in Haiti.”

Penny Alfonso shared a couple of sensible thoughts. The first: “It seems that black lives matter, until a black woman becomes pregnant.”

The second: “Feminists have been screaming for years that it’s time for a woman president. Then, out of a nation of 340 million people, they choose the two most obnoxious women, Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris, to represent our gender; essentially telling the world that these two harpies are the best we have to offer. How humiliating!”

Up until recently, the best that could be said for Sen. Joe Manchin (D, WV) is that he was the one Democrat who supported the Second Amendment. He didn’t really have a choice in the matter if he ever expected to win another election in West Virginia.

But he is suddenly the single most important member of the Senate. While Chuck Schumer tries to push through legislation that is straight out of the Karl Marx Playbook, Sen. Manchin pushes back, insisting “The truth, I would argue, is that voting and election reform that is done in a partisan manner will all but ensure partisan divisions continue to deepen.”

If Manchin sticks to his guns, he will be one of the very few senators who actually deserves to be referred to as distinguished.

Greg Palko shared a meme that reads: “Hell of a job, Democrats, you’ve managed to bring back the 1918 Pandemic, the 1929 Depression, the 1968 Race Riots and the 1973 Gas Lines, all at the same time.”

Bob Hunt passed along the following meme: “When asked what to buy, a conservative stockbroker said, ‘If the current administration is in office much longer, your best investments would be canned goods, a generator, water and ammunition.”

John Lewis sent me a bunch of memorable quotes.

“The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.” (Albert Einstein)

“At every party, there are two kinds of people — those who want to go home and those who don’t. The trouble is, they are usually married to each other.” (Ann Landers)

“My opinions may have changed, but not the fact that I’m right.” (Anonymous)

“Have you noticed that all the people in favor of abortions have already been born?” (Benny Hill)
