China Is Only the Second Biggest Menace

It is our politicians who are treating us with contempt.

I know that the Democrats want me to believe that Russia is the biggest threat that the U.S. faces. That’s mainly because they spent about three years trying to tie Trump to Putin, so they have a vested interest in presenting Russia as a raging grizzly when it is really more like a eucalyptus leaf-noshing panda. Okay, make it a panda with a really rotten attitude.

Everybody else realizes that it’s China that is trying to drive us into submission by convincing us we are no match for them economically, militarily or any other way. In their mission, they already have an advantage because they have dangled their 1.4 billion potential customers for everything from basketball paraphernalia to social networks and our billionaires have flocked to them en masse.

But as bad as China is, I am far more terrified of my own government. It is our politicians who are treating us with contempt, insisting that we continue to mask up and get injected with strange substances or lose our careers and freedom to assemble.

I suspect I first came to distrust the government when I was in first grade and was told that if I got down on the floor and knelt under my school desk, I’d be safe from an atomic bomb blast. Even at the age of six, I knew crap when I heard it. Perhaps it’s because I had seen newsreel footage of Hiroshima and Nagosaki and what I didn’t see were little Japanese kids climbing out from under their desks.

Somebody sent me a meme that reminded me that a year ago, there were Israeli/Arab peace treaties being signed; Iran was in a box; North Korea was behaving itself; Afghanistan was quiet; China was pretty much in check; the US was feared and respected, at least to the extent that our NATO allies were coughing up their dues; the Southern border was controlled; there was cheap gas; and America was energy independent.

It’s pretty simple to compare life under Biden to life under Trump. It’s like going from being protected by Batman to being protected by Bruce Wayne’s elderly valet, Alfred.

If Donald Trump is a hate mongering evil monster as the media constantly portrays him, why aren’t his followers the ones killing cops, destroying property and assaulting bystanders?

And please don’t bring up the kerfuffle on January 6th if you don’t want a punch in the nose. The only real victim that day was a female military veteran who was fatally shot by a black cop who no doubt voted for Joe Biden.

In fact, it can hardly be a coincidence that whereas Trump’s most devout followers never do anything except to cheer loudly at his rallies, it’s the Democratic faithful who loot and burn. And it was one of Bernie Sanders’ loyalists who shot up a baseball field full of Republican congressmen, nearly killing Steve Scalise.

The sorry state of our election process was summed up by a meme that read: “Required: A certified vaccination I.D. Not Required: A certified voter I.D.”

Another meme did its best to explain wokeness in four panels showing a man and a woman having a conversation. In the first, He says: “I don’t think women should have any rights and LGBTQ people should be killed.” In the second, She replies: “Wow! What a completely primitive asshole you are! You must be a Republican.” In the third panel, He says: “No, actually I’m a Muslim and those are my religious beliefs.” In the fourth panel, She says: “Oh, I’m so sorry. I apologize. I hope you don’t think I’m Islamaphobic.”

To hear the Democrats bow and scrape to the mental pygmies at the forefront of the climate change hoax, you would think the U.S. is working nonstop to destroy the planet. If that’s our intention, we are hardly pulling our weight. Nations far smaller than us are putting us to shame.

It should come as no surprise that, as with so many other things, China is number one when it comes to creating ocean pollutants.

In fact, China creates nearly as much as the next seven countries.

All by itself, China accounts for 8.8 metric tons, followed by Indonesia, 3.2 metric tons; the Philippines, 1.9; Vietnam, 1.8; Sri Lanka, 1.6; Egypt, 1.0; Thailand, 1.0; the U.S., 0.3.

I’m not calling for us to match China, but it shouldn’t be that hard to move past Egypt and Thailand and at least challenge Sri Lanka for fifth place.

In the wake of Darrell Brooks’ terrorist drive through a Christmas parade that left six dead and sent 62 others to the hospital, we learn that he was on the streets because Milwaukee D.A. John T. Chisholm is another of those big city prosecutors who should have wound up as a social worker.

For his entire career, Chisholm has opposed bail because, as he puts it, it criminalizes poverty. When asked if his lenient approach to prosecution might lead to more crimes being committed, the loon proudly declared, “Guaranteed!”

He went on to say “Is there going to be an individual I put into a treatment program instead of prison who’s going to go out and kill somebody? You bet. That does not invalidate the overall approach.”

He also boasts on his website that he has inspired a wave of progressive prosecutors, including those in Philadelphia, Boston, St. Louis, San Francisco and L.A. who have followed in his footsteps.

So he sets the example and George Soros supplies the cash.

One thing that Chisholm and the others, and their allies in city hall and Congress, have in common is that they all have cops providing them with protection against the consequences of their dangerously naive actions.

In a related matter, Democrats in Congress, taking their lead from Squad member Rashida Tlaib, are looking to shut down federal prisons.

Before taking off to spend Thanksgiving with Dr. Jill at the multi-million dollar Nantucket estate of David Rubenstein, the co-founder of the Carlyle Group, Joe Biden released 50 million barrels of oil from the National Reserve. It sounds like a decisive action to combat soaring gas prices at the pump. But in fact, America uses 18 million barrels of oil every day, so the release met the nation’s energy needs for slightly less than three days.

Rumor has it that in appreciation of all he has done for China, the Wuhan Laboratory of Virology will soon be re-named the Anthony Fauci Medical Center.

Although I’m sure it has been floating around for a while, this screed from the great John Cleese deserves to be shared, if only to remind people that even with Boris Johnson at the helm, the Brits have not entirely lost their sense of humor.

“The English are feeling the pinch due to recent events in Syria and have therefore raise their security level from ‘Miffed’ to ‘Peeved.’

"Soon, though, security levels may be raised again to ‘Irritated’ or ‘A Bit Cross.’

"The English have not been ‘A Bit Cross’ since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies ran out.

"Terrorists have been re-categorized from ‘Tiresome’ to ‘A Bloody Nuisance’

"The last time the British issued "A Bloody Nuisance’ warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.”
