The Patriot Post® · The J6 Clown Show
Everything about the congressional Jan. 6 Committee is political theater. The committee itself, per Democrat House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s insistence, could not include any members not already predisposed to find Donald Trump guilty of something. The accusations are outlandish and unsubstantiated. Witnesses’ testimony and other “evidence” often lacks foundation or credibility. Most of the committee’s performance (I won’t call it “work”), substantively and procedurally, would never fly in a court of law.
There are plenty of reasons why these “hearings” are taking place, but finding the truth isn’t one of them.
Even before he was elected president of the United States, Trump was under attack by those who expected (and continue to expect) to hold the levers of power in this country. But once he was elected, Trump became a real threat to the globalist uniparty. He blew a massive hole in the “Democrats versus Republicans” narrative that had for decades lulled millions of Americans into believing that their interests were being represented by either party.
Tens of millions of Americans now recognize that neither party is looking out for America, nor is truly defending the values its people hold dear: individual liberty, responsibility, independence, initiative, autonomy, charity, self-governance and prosperity, to name a few.
Instead, our political “leaders,” by and large, seem to be motivated by self-interest and greed. Such people are inevitably for sale to the highest bidders, including individuals, organizations and regimes whose objectives and methods are antithetical to the founding principles of the United States of America.
We the people were apparently supposed to go about our business, blissfully unaware that the self-appointed elites in this country were destroying our independence, our rule of law, our prosperity and our national sovereignty. Hillary Clinton’s election in 2016 was to have sealed the deal on former President Barack Obama’s “fundamental transformation” of America.
But something happened that the elites neither intended nor anticipated. That was the voters’ election of Donald J. Trump in 2016. The political and powerful classes pretend to hate him because he is a “threat to democracy.” Um, no. The democratic electoral process in 2016 actually worked exactly as it was (originally) designed to. That, not Trump, is what the ruling classes could not abide. They despise Trump because they despise ordinary Americans, who they do not believe are capable of running their own lives, much less the country. Trump’s empowerment of the “little people” threw a wrench into the plans of the powerful.
The attacks on Trump have exposed the rot and corruption within the CIA, the FBI and the Justice Department, in cahoots with the Democratic Party, Democrats’ mercenary lawyers, and their spies-for-hire. (I would say that it also exposed the bias of the media, but that was evident years ago, although not perhaps to the extent that we see now, with the abandonment of any semblance of “news” or factual reporting, in favor of left-wing political propaganda.)
As researchers and authors like Jim Hougan, Len Colodny and Robert Gettlin have revealed in detail, the Democrats and their buddies in the intelligence community may have successfully pulled off a “silent coup” with President Richard Nixon and Watergate. But they got cocky and brazen with Trump, trying this time to take down a president without years in politics and thus without the concomitant blackmailable baggage; a president who had neither committed nor authorized nor was even aware of any wrongdoing. Unlike Watergate, therefore, the “Russia Collusion” conspiracy against Trump fell apart as the hyperventilated confection of hot air (and arguably criminal conduct) that it was.
Relatedly, Trump’s aversion to U.S. involvement in foreign wars also threatened the military industrial complex, megacorp defense contractors and the global web of money launderers, not to mention the neoconservatives willing to sacrifice the lives of millions in the name of “nation-building.”
Domestically, Trump’s minimalist approach to regulation revealed that America flourishes when Americans run the economy, as opposed to egotistical ignoramuses who are only too happy to see it sabotaged in pursuit of ideologies concocted in academia, or in exchange for political power and big bucks from special interests. During Trump’s administration, with its economic boom and record-low unemployment, it became crystal clear that the traditional seesawing legislative and regulatory battles between “Ds” and “Rs” only create problems, the “solutions” for which always somehow manage to enrich politicians and their big donors. Meanwhile, entrepreneurs and small businesses — the lifeblood of our economy and the linchpin of our unique prosperity — are hobbled.
Everyone exposed and displaced by Trump’s election would stop at nothing to take him out. Their propagandists in the broadcast, print and social media fed the public a daily diet of lies. Meanwhile, the plans were being put in place for the 2020 election, which — notwithstanding the steady drumbeat of “most secure election ever” — was conducted in state after state (e.g., Wisconsin, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Louisiana, Georgia) with myriad illicit activities and methods that may well have affected the result.
The 74 million Americans who voted for Trump have seen themselves silenced, heard their concerns and eyewitness accounts dismissed as “conspiracy theories” and themselves cast as “domestic terrorists,” all for insisting on transparency and election integrity that will never be forthcoming without a fight.
What really happened on Jan. 6, 2021, has not been revealed, and nothing happening in the Jan. 6 Committee hearings will reveal it. Everything they are doing is designed to obfuscate the truth, deceive the American public, entrench the power of the traditional political elite and make an example out of anyone who dares to challenge the official narrative.
Eviscerating Trump is just a sideshow.
