Speaking at a press conference during the NATO Summit in Spain yesterday, President Joe Biden called on Democrats to break the Senate rules and end the filibuster.

Why is he demanding this drastic action? It’s a last-ditch, desperate bid by Democrats to preserve abortion on demand. Biden told reporters:

“The most important thing … we have to codify Roe v. Wade in the law. And the way to do that is to make sure the Congress votes to do that. If the filibuster gets in the way, it’s like voting rights … we provide an exception to this … an exception to the filibuster for this action to deal with the Supreme Court [Dobbs] decision.”

This is a declaration of political war!

Nothing would cause Washington to utterly meltdown like removing this vital safeguard in the Senate against the left’s rash and unhinged agenda.

Biden insisted that there should be an exception to the filibuster when rights are in question. Not just abortion rights, but also voting rights.

That’s a reference to the left’s attempted takeover of all elections. Their radical legislation would wipe out all popular state voter ID laws and election integrity laws.

And just like their election takeover bill, their radical pro-abortion legislation to codify Roe v. Wade would wipeout all popular state laws against late-term abortion, against partial-birth abortions, as well as waiting periods, informed consent and parental notification laws.

Their pro-abortion bill is so radical that even “pro-choice” senators like Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and Joe Manchin could not support it.

Do you think Biden and Senate Democrats would support this carve out to protect religious liberty? Of course not! They’re furious that the Supreme Court has issued decisions protecting religious liberty.

Do you think they would apply it to legislation expanding Second Amendment rights? Heck no!

Once again, this is all about Democrats doubling down on their extreme agenda and ramming it through by any means necessary.

We MUST take back the House and Senate this November!

We MUST restore some checks and balances against this radical regime!

Supreme Split

On the final day of its term this session, the Supreme Court handed down two big decisions. One is a defeat for the Biden Administration, and the other is a victory for the administration.

In the first case, the justices ruled 6-to-3 that a radical EPA plan to regulate power companies and how we produce electricity in this country was unconstitutional. The regulations in question stemmed from an Obama-era effort to drive coal companies out of business by giving the EPA broad power to regulate carbon emissions.

The court declared that EPA bureaucrats had vastly exceeded their authority under the law, and that “A decision of such magnitude and consequence rests with Congress itself.”

This is a major setback to the left’s extreme “green” agenda specifically and to the overreaching administrative state generally.

In the second case, a 5-to-4 majority of justices sided with the Biden Administration’s plan to end the “Remain in Mexico” policy for illegal aliens. This policy was enacted by the Trump Administration to discourage illegal immigration and provide an orderly process for adjudicating asylum claims.

For many years, illegal aliens had been abusing our lax asylum laws. Under the Obama Administration, if an illegal alien crossed the border and claimed asylum, that mere statement was as good as a de facto amnesty.

They were automatically given the benefit of the doubt and included in a years-long legal process, during which time they eventually disappeared into the interior of the country. It was a total scam.

I say it was a scam because 80% of asylum claims are rejected by our immigration courts.

Donald Trump stopped this abuse by telling migrants they would have to wait in Mexico while we judged the merits of their claims. But the Biden Administration, true to its open borders agenda, repealed Trump’s policy.

Texas and Missouri challenged the administration based on the obvious impact Biden’s action would have on their states. But the Supreme Court ruled, once again, that the federal government is fully responsible for the enforcement of immigration policy, no matter how idiotic that policy may be.

Just another example of how elections have consequences!

The Lies Of The Left

The death toll in the shocking San Antonio human smuggling case is now up to 53. It’s an unbelievable tragedy.

Yet, in the aftermath of that tragedy, the Biden Administration ran to the nearest microphone and again insisted that our border is closed. They’re giving lying a bad name!

It is obviously false when 8,000 illegal aliens are crossing the border EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.

When someone says the 2020 election was rigged, social media is quick to ban them, even though there is a legitimate debate about the degree of illegality and irregularity in the election.

If you say what is biologically true and has been true for all of human history — that there are two genders — you are accused of engaging in “hate speech” and “promoting lies” just because some on the left have bizarre ideas about gender.

But the Biden Administration is lying when it claims the border is closed. This is insanity! The same people who insist the 2020 election was secure are telling you that the border is secure. What does that tell you?!

“Border Czar” Kamala Harris had the audacity Wednesday to attack Texas Governor Greg Abbott, and to blame Donald Trump for what is happening at the border. She said, “We have a broken immigration system that was decimated by the last administration.”

That’s a total lie! Trump actually demanded that the immigration laws be enforced.

Here’s a simple test: Just ask the Border Patrol agents, who are charged with enforcing the law, which administration did a better job of securing the border.

The Border Patrol union endorsed Donald Trump twice. Under Joe Biden, their morale is “in the toilet” because they are not allowed to do their jobs, which is enforcing our immigration laws.

Biden’s Bad Economy

We got more bad news on the economy Wednesday. Economic growth in the first quarter of this year shrank more than originally thought. In addition, consumer confidence is crashing.

The latest Gallup survey on the economy finds that 85% of Americans believe the economy is getting worse. They gave the economy its worst rating since the Great Recession of the Obama/Biden Malaise Days.

Obviously, inflation is a major part of the problem. It’s caused by Joe Biden’s massive printing of money. The entire Democrat Party (save Joe Manchin) has bought into the idea of “Modern Monetary Theory.”

There’s nothing modern about it. It’s based on the old lie that there is such a thing as a free lunch.

It’s the idea that debt and deficits don’t matter because the government owes the money to itself. So, who cares who much we print and spend? It’s the same concept behind the crazy idea of minting trillion dollar platinum coins to fund even more big government socialist spending.

But you can’t print money with no relationship to reality. That destroys a country. It devalues the currency, and that’s what we’re experiencing right now.

The second thing that is causing inflation is the left’s war on the American oil and natural gas industry.

Let’s be absolutely clear about this: It’s a war against our own resources.

It’s a war against our own citizens, whose livelihood depends on that industry.

It’s a war against prosperity.

It’s a war against our own economy, which is fueled by that industry.

There is no way that five, ten or 20 years from now our economy will be fueled by anything other than the oil and natural gas industry. It will take decades upon decades to make whatever “incredible transition” they are dreaming about.

But for the accolades of the Harvard faculty lounge and liberal editorial pages, “Joe Quixote” and his band of jackasses are determined to crush you and your neighbors in order to chase windmills!
