It was crushing to hear news that Republican Congresswoman Jackie Walorski has died at the age of 58. Walorski, who had represented Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District since 2013, was killed Wednesday in a car crash along with two staff members.
Walorski was a wonderful Christian woman. For a time, she worked as a missionary in Romania and founded a foundation to provide medical supplies and attention to impoverished children.
She was a solid conservative on the Second Amendment, the sanctity of life, and election integrity, and cared deeply for the needs of rural America. She stood her grounding in defending her Christian and conservative values, yet she was well-liked and respected by her colleagues on both sides of the aisle.
Fellow Hoosier Rep. Jim Banks remembered Walorski as a “devout Christian, a passionate advocate for life…a true public servant — selfless, humble, and compassionate. … Everything Jackie did was to serve others.”
Jackie Walorksi was the kind of person we need more of in Washington, D.C. Please keep Jackie and her family in your prayers.
The Abortion President
President Biden Wednesday new incentives to try to circumvent the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade. Virtually every day there is a new plan to ensure that the number of abortions in America stays as high as possible.
Biden’s “love affair” with abortion is disgusting. But the GOP establishment is back on its heels. Wake up! This isn’t that hard. You could say things like:
“Biden is more committed to killing babies than he is to getting baby formula to mothers whose babies have been born.”
“Biden tries to increase abortions while he decreases jobs.”
“Pregnant women are hiding in fear in America’s crime-ridden Democrat-run cities while Biden assures them he will pay for their abortions.”
All these lines of attack would work in every House and Senate race while reminding voters that Biden is the most abortion-loving president in U.S. history.
The Pelosi Fiasco
Count me out of the chorus claiming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Taiwan sent a “strong” signal to communist China. It is likely it did the exact opposite. In fact, the whole fiasco is yet another example of the ineptness of the Biden foreign policy.
Did Pelosi talk to Biden before she announced she would visit Taiwan? It doesn’t appear she did. For days, “leaks” out of the White House made it clear they did not want her to go. Same thing from the Pentagon. Multiple Pentagon “insiders” leaked to the Washington Post that the “brass” was not happy with Pelosi’s plans. China knows all this.
A few days ago, President Biden spent two hours on the phone with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Oh, how I would love to see the transcript of that call. Raise your hand if you think Biden was tough on that call. After all, in a way it could be said he was talking to the Biden family banker. Did Xi send his greetings to Hunter?
When Pelosi’s plane was headed to Taiwan, the administration sent multiple spokesmen out to say, in effect, “We do not support Taiwan independence.”
After a week of a “Keystone Cops” foreign policy, communist China continues to worsen by the day. While countless hours are being spent teaching our men and women in uniform to be sensitive about the proper pronouns to use, scheduling drag queen shows on U.S. military bases and educating our future officers at West Point about white supremacy, communist China is reportedly planning to invade Taiwan in the next two years — you know, before Biden leaves office. They know an opportunity when they see it. Every day that Biden is in the White House and the left controls Congress, America is less secure.
