The Patriot Post® · Hillary's Nazi Smear
Speaking at a left-wing event over the weekend, Hillary Clinton compared Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler and his popular rallies to Nazi rallies.
Clinton said that as a student she would watch old news films about the Nazi rallies and wonder how so many Germans could be taken in by Hitler’s rantings. She continued, “You saw the rally in Ohio the other night, Trump is there ranting and raving for more than an hour, and you have these rows of young men with their arms raised. I thought, ‘What is going on?’”
I also watched Trump’s recent Ohio rally. Yes, some people had their arms raised at the end of his speech, the way people raise their arms in church. Some had one finger up, making the “We’re Number One” sign. They did this when Trump was reminding his audience of who we are as a people and what a great nation America is. Trump said:
“There is no mountain we cannot climb. There is no summit we cannot reach. There is no challenge we cannot beat. There is no victory we cannot have. We will not bend, we will not break, we will not yield. We will never give in. We will never give up. We will never, ever, ever back down…
"We are one movement, one people, one family, and one glorious American nation… We will make America powerful again. We will make America wealthy again. We will make America strong again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again, and we will make America great again.”
This is what Hillary and many in the media are now calling “fascism.” But the real purpose isn’t just to bash Donald Trump, although that is certainly part of it. Hillary wasn’t just going after Trump. She was really attacking the people who attended the rally — all those “deplorable and irredeemable” people.
The left’s real goal is to make us the equivalent of Nazis. Why? So we can be declared “semi-fascists,” and so our values can be declared threats to the country.
Think I’m exaggerating? Think again. Speaking on MSNBC Sunday, Keisha Lance Bottoms, the former mayor of Atlanta now a senior adviser to President Biden, literally said that “MAGA Republicans” are trying to “destroy the United States of America.”
Of course, there is real fascism in America today, but it’s not coming from the right. It’s coming from the socialist left that is using the power of the state to intimidate and silence its opponents — whether it’s parents at school board meetings or pro-life activists. (See below.)
Italy’s New Leader
Giorgia Meloni is likely to be Italy’s first female prime minister after her center-right coalition won the national election over the weekend. Italy has had conservative leaders before, but none are like Meloni.
She has been denounced by major media outlets as “far-right” and mocked as a “Christian nationalist.” But throughout the campaign, Meloni was unapologetic about her values. Her campaign theme was “God, Fatherland and Family,” an Italian version of Faith, Family and Freedom.
Already, she is giving the left fits. Watch this excerpt of one of her recent speeches to understand why.
She ended her remarks with a prophetic quote from the great philosopher and theologian G. K. Chesterton, who said, “Fires will be kindled to testify that two and two make four. Swords will be drawn to prove that leaves are green in summer.”
Sadly, it seems that we have come to such a time. Societies everywhere in the West are in a war to defend normalcy.
Fascism In America
I was stunned over the weekend by the news that Mark Houck was arrested by as many as 20 FBI agents. According to Houck’s wife, Ryan-Marie, the federal agents arrived at their home in Kintersville, Pennsylvania, early Friday morning with guns drawn. They took Mark away in handcuffs.
Obviously, Mr. Houck must be a dangerous and violent criminal, a real threat to society to warrant such an arrest. Is he a drug dealer? No. A mob boss? No. Did he threaten to harm Joe Biden? No.
Houck, the father of seven children, leads a Catholic men’s ministry and is a well-known pro-life activist in Pennsylvania. He was arrested for an incident that occurred last year when he was peacefully protesting outside a Philadelphia abortion clinic.
One of the clinic’s “escorts” aggressively confronted Houck’s 12 year-old son. Like any concerned father, Houck defended his son and pushed the man away, and he fell over. Philadelphia authorities investigated the incident, and never charged Houck. The clinic escort sued Houck in civil court, and his suit was dismissed by the judge.
Yet, a year later, this incident is somehow on Attorney General Merrick Garland’s radar screen that it warranted 20 FBI agents launching an early morning raid. The FBI is charging Houck with violating a federal law that protects access to abortion clinics known as the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act. If convicted, Houck faces 11 years in jail.
I suspect this is part of Garland’s ongoing campaign to root out “violent domestic extremism.”
Violent crime is surging all over the country, especially in Philadelphia. Record numbers of Americans are dying from drug overdoses. Yet, the FBI has 20 agents to send to Kintersville to arrest someone for an incident that local authorities dismissed a year ago.
There shouldn’t be one agent in America available for this raid!
The fact that nearly two dozen agents were sitting around waiting to arrest a father of seven because he shoved someone a year ago tells you everything you need to know about our politicized FBI.
This is a shameful effort to intimidate conservatives! It is classic totalitarianism.
By the way, the FACE Act also protects crisis pregnancy centers, too. But scores of crisis pregnancy centers have been ransacked, vandalized and firebombed, and no one has been arrested that I am aware of.
There’s no indication of any serious investigation at the federal level. But, once again, we see how the law is being used to target political and cultural conservatives.
Does anyone think that if Donald Trump announced tomorrow that he was retiring from public life to work in an orphanage in Katmandu that these attacks on “semi-fascists conservatives” would stop? Of course, they wouldn’t.
This is all about the left’s desperation to maintain power.
Too Scared To Speak Out
Rachel Campos-Duffy, a co-host of Fox & Friends Weekend, went to the Bronx recently to speak with residents about the new tent city that is going up in their community to house 1,000 migrants thanks to Joe Biden’s open borders policy.
While she found several folks who were willing to talk on camera, Campos-Duffy said she was shocked by the number of people who wouldn’t talk to her because they were afraid of what their neighbors and co-workers would say about them. A Russian immigrant told her that if he spoke on camera, he was afraid that his children would suffer at school.
This isn’t the result of anything “MAGA Republicans” have done. This self-censorship is the result of the intolerant left’s woke culture that cancels anyone with dissenting opinions. It’s un-American. It’s an assault on our First Amendment freedoms, and it’s a real threat to democracy.
