Biden Brags

It’s a bit of an exaggeration to suggest, as the president did, that “the Biden economic plan is working.”

President Biden traveled 10 miles from the White House to Springfield, Virginia, Thursday for what was clearly a campaign event, but the taxpayers are picking up the tab anyway.

He repeatedly attacked “MAGA Republicans” throughout his speech. But when he wasn’t attacking Republicans, he was bragging about the Biden/Harris economy.

I don’t know what he’s bragging about.

We just went through a devastating year with record inflation, and it’s still clobbering consumers. Gas prices are surging and food prices are sky-high. Virtually every day major corporations are announcing thousands of layoffs.

So, why is Biden so happy? Well, he said the economy grew 2.9%, which normally would be a respectable number.

But, just to be clear, that was the preliminary figure for the last quarter of 2022, and it was down from the third quarter, which suggests that the economy is slowing. Moreover, when you factor in the first two quarters of the year (-1.6% and -0.6% growth), total growth for all of 2022 was just a measly 1%.

So, it’s a bit of an exaggeration to suggest, as the president did, that “the Biden economic plan is working,” and that “we’re moving in the right direction.” As Senator John Kennedy noted, “President Biden is the only person in the [galaxy] who thinks our country is headed in the right direction.”

Where are all the fact checkers?

They were working overtime during the Trump/Pence years, fact checking the most mundane pronouncements and even jokes. Well, now we’re learning that many of them were bankrolled by left-wing sugar daddy George Soros.

Biden Lies

Biden not only lied about his record, he lied about the agenda of House Republicans. The White House is combing through the comments of all 222 House Republicans and cherry-picking ideas that some individuals are putting on the table.

For example, one House Republican has proposed legislation to eliminate the IRS and replace the income tax with a national sales or consumption tax.

Because one House Republican is pushing this idea, Biden insists that the entire party is trying to impose a 30% sales tax on food and gas.

Even if it got through the House, it would never pass the Senate or survive his veto. But Biden counts on his supporters being “low information voters,” and he counts on the left-wing media never calling him out for his dishonest distortions.

But if that wasn’t bad enough, his address Thursday was one mental freeze after another. It was full of slurred words and sentences that made no sense. He tried to get emotional at one point, but it lapsed into gibberish. With his voice rising, Biden practically yelled:

“Analysts were saying by the end of the year there would be a recession. Every time we’ve gone, we’ve gotten better. They were wrong.”

Gone where? Done what?

Pete vs. The President?

A new poll of New Hampshire Democrats suggests that many liberal voters are noticing Biden’s declining mental state and are looking for new leadership. In fact, 66% of New Hampshire Democrats (up five points from the summer) do not want Biden to run again in 2024.

Here are the results of a hypothetical primary matchup:

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg 23%
Joe Biden and Sen. Elizabeth Warren 18%
Vermont socialist Bernie Sanders 15%
New York Marxist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 6%
Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar 5%
Vice President Kamala Harris 2%.

I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling encouraged by these numbers! I don’t see much talent there. And how could anyone be thinking about promoting Pete Buttigieg after all the transportation disasters under his watch?

Never Again

Friday marked the 78th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration camps at Auschwitz, revealing some of the worst horrors of the Holocaust. More than one million people were systematically murdered there.

In 2005, as then-Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was threatening a second Holocaust by vowing to “wipe Israel off the map,” the United Nations voted to recognize January 27th as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

As the world pauses to remember the atrocities of the Holocaust, we must also learn from the mistakes of the past. Unfortunately, it’s not clear that we are. Anti-Semitism is on the rise all over the world.

Meanwhile, the Biden Administration, with the full support of congressional Democrats, tried desperately to rejoin Obama’s fatally flawed nuclear deal with the tyrants of Tehran. Why? Iran hasn’t done a single thing to warrant sanctions relief or any deal of any kind.

In fact, international experts believe the Holocaust-denying regime has “amassed enough material for several nuclear weapons.”

Meanwhile, three men were indicted Friday for plotting with the Iranian government to assassinate a U.S. citizen who has been critical of the regime’s human rights record.
