South Carolina Republican Trey Gowdy is retiring from Congress an unhappy man. He’s even counting the number of trips to the airport he has left until he can leave DC for good.

VICE News interviewed the departing congressman in part to make the GOP look bad and in part to highlight the disenchantment of a man they call “hyper partisan.”

At the same time, Gowdy says a lot of true things about politics and party that are worth hearing.
