The BIGGEST LIE Yet

· Thursday, November 19, 2009

"It is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth -- and listen to the song of that siren, till she transforms us into beasts. ... For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it might cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it." --Patrick Henry

Sometimes the biggest lies come under cover of a truth.

Such was the case this week, when Barack Hussein Obama proffered this observation about deficits: "I think it is important, though, to recognize if we keep on adding to the debt, even in the midst of this recovery, that at some point, people could lose confidence in the U.S. economy in a way that could actually lead to a double-dip recession."

"Keep on adding to the debt"? From this, one might conclude that Obama has never suggested such a thing, and is truly concerned about deficits.

His revelation came amid discussion of tax reductions engineered to increase employment, as if our Constitution has a provision for that, anymore than for Obama's other proposals.

Obama is feigning concern about deficits now that there is discussion of tax cuts, which he concludes would increase deficits.

"At some point, people could lose confidence in the U.S. economy"? Like the Red Chinese, who hold more U.S. government debt than any other nation ($800 billion), and upon whom we are depending to fund more of our debt. No coincidence that Obama's remarks were made while on his most recent appeasement tour in Beijing.

"Even in the midst of this recovery"? What recovery?

Oh, the one that his $787 billion "hope-n-change" big-government payout package was supposed to ensure?

At the time of that proposal, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office offered this summary: "In the longer run, the [Obama] legislation would result in a slight decrease in gross domestic product compared with CBO's baseline economic forecast." Put another way, the CBO static scoring projected that Obama's big government pork giveaway would hinder economic recovery. Dynamic scoring by economists shows a much worse destiny.

But Obama warned, "If nothing is done, this recession might linger for years. Unemployment will approach double digits. Our nation will sink deeper into a crisis that, at some point, we may not be able to reverse."

Now, after a quick assessment of the Obama Recovery through October, one is stuck with the conclusion that his spending spree has resulted in 10.2 percent unemployment -- except, of course, in such places as Washington, DC, where government jobs are immune to recession.

That would be double-digit unemployment -- so now you know why Obama cleverly framed his recovery program in terms of jobs "created or saved." His administration announced that through October, the American Recovery Act had "created" or "saved" 640,329 jobs. However, a growing number of skeptics, even among his once-adoring media, found some very questionable accounting methods used to come up with that figure.

Asked about some of the discrepancies, Obama's Recovery Czar, Ed Pound, responded, "Who knows, man, who really knows?"

Recovery reality check: Remember when Obama claimed, "This is our moment, this is our time to turn the page on the policies of the past, to offer a new direction"?

That is a reference to Obama's v Reagan's policies, big government solutions v. free enterprise solutions.

Ronald Reagan's economic policies unleashed an unprecedented period of growth, which continued right up until the financial sector collapse in '08, a calamity resulting from policies implemented during the Clinton years, which undermined the values of derivatives used as collateral due. Those policies, as we now know, gave license for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to back high-risk loans to unqualified buyers, thereby setting the stage for the subprime mortgage meltdown and the crash of 2008.

Recall that in 2005, Sen. John McCain sponsored the Federal Housing Enterprise Regulatory Reform Act, saying, "For years I have been concerned about the regulatory structure that governs Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac ... and the sheer magnitude of these companies and the role they play in the housing market. ... If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to the housing market, the overall financial system, and the economy as a whole."

McCain noted that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac regulators concluded that profits were "illusions deliberately and systematically created by the company's senior management."

McCain was right, but Democrats, including Barney Frank, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, ensured that nothing would be done to alter current practices at Fannie and Freddie. "These two entities ... are not facing any kind of financial crisis," Frank said at the time.

The net result of the derivative dilution was a crisis of confidence in the U.S. economy, second only to that which led to the Great Depression.

Remember when Obama claimed, "We are fundamentally transforming the United States of America"? Well, we're in mid-transformation, and how are things looking now?

Obama also said, "Generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was our time."

Indeed, his time to saddle them and their children with unprecedented debt, not only from his "stimulus" folly, but next up, ObamaCare, and then his job-killing cap-and-tax scheme.

If you think you can count on the administration's estimates of the true cost of ObamaCare, think again. The Washington Times recently reminded us of the estimated cost of Medicare shortly after Democrats implemented it in 1965. Then, it was predicted to cost $12 billion by 1990. In actuality, it cost $98 billion, which is to say the original estimate was short by more than a factor of seven.

In my home state of Tennessee, we've already been there and done that. Our state's version of ObamaCare, known as TennCare, implemented by Democrats in 1994 ostensibly to contain healthcare expenses, has quickly grown to consume more than a third of state revenues.

The CBO now says that the $1 trillion estimated cost of ObamaCare is "subject to substantial uncertainty." How's that for qualifying understatement?

As for the big picture, U.S. National Debt topped the $12 trillion mark this week, or approximately $39,000 for every man, woman and child in America, and the federal deficit that Obama now pretends to be concerned about hit a record high $1.42 trillion for fiscal year 2009.

Obama's administration projects that the national debt will top $14 trillion by this time next year, and my sense is that they're being modest. At the current pace, within 10 years our national debt will exceed our Gross Domestic Product.

Of these staggering debt figures, Obama now claims, "I intend to take serious steps to reduce America's long-term deficit because debt-driven growth cannot fuel America's long-term prosperity."

But, what's his real endgame?

We can be certain that Obama's solution to deficits will not be less government. Instead, it will be unprecedented tax increases, a.k.a., socialist redistribution of wealth, fulfilling his objective of "fundamentally transforming the United States of America."

The Tax Foundation now estimates that to offset deficits, "Federal income tax rates would have to be nearly tripled across the income spectrum," with the lowest bracket at 27 percent and the highest at 95. Even the CBO estimates that rates would have to exceed 80 percent, and that's before state and local taxes.

Do you get the picture, folks?

Obama will succeed in his effort to socialize the U.S. economy, using the tax code as his hammer and sickle, unless growing ranks of Americans object to the fact that he has no constitutional authority to do so.

In the meantime, Patriots, keep your powder dry.

Obama's object has become quite clear. He want total control over every aspect of the lives of every American citizen. He want to quash capitalism, implement socialism and change American into an Islamic State instead of the Judeo - Christian State as it was founded. He is disollusioned, thinking that he will play a critical role in running the world but he will ultimately be cast aside by his Muslim borthers, by the Imam who happens to be at the top of the heap when it all happens. It's time for every true American to stand up and be counted among those who believe in the America as it was founded and take back our government from the illigitimate president and his Chicago style political cronies.

Yes, Mark, Tennessee was "chosen" after the "fall of the Clinton National Health care debacle of 1993" to show how Universal coverage could bring Health care to the "poor".

As you stated, it is a dismal failure and destruction. State Senate hearings proved, " no one could buy a private plan "like Tenn Care" no deductible, no limitations, The Tenn Care Health care is a Monster of destruction, eating away the substance of the State. If any thing, it ought to prove how "destructive" this government Monster has become as it "devours and envelopes" the State. And I remind all of us here in Tennessee, all administrations, Republicans and Democrats, McWherter and Sundquist et al, have "aided and abetted" this Monster, all under the guise of "Health care for the poor".

It is more of this unscriptural concept of "being kinder and sweeter than God." The Bible is very clear, "If you don't work, you don't eat."

It is not in the confines of the Tennessee Constitution for Tennessee "to take care of people from the cradle to the grave." This Tenn Care Monster lives because State legislators won't stand by their sacred Oaths of Office and kill it.

Too "Politically Hazardous" to cut out the "poor" from the Tennessee Budget, Meanwhile the State dictates to the Counties on how the Counties will "share the responsibility of the poor."

We used to have a place here in Rhea County called the "poor house". It was for the "poor". I can tell you from the testimonies I have heard, people who had to be there wanted to quickly better themselves than "to stay on at the poor house." I think the "old timers" took their instructions on "how to care for the poor" from the Lord who knew the hearts of men.

The Constitutions, Federal and State, are being "run over" - "boundaries are demolished without regard to the Oaths taken by these legislators" so I trust God. He is the Author and FINISHER of our Faith - The Faith of our Fathers, the Holy Faith.

I get tired of the King of Kings and Lord of Lords depicted as a "pacifist". Excuse me, One of His titles in the Old Testament was "Master of Armies." God is Omnipresent(everywhere), Omniscient(knows everything), and Omnipotent(all powerful)

Will not the Judge of the whole earth do right??? Of course, He will. He will bring the righteous through and I have asked Him to save what I love and it is this Beloved Country.

"Encamped along the hills of light, Ye Christian SOLDIERS rise, and press the battle ere the night shall veil the glowing skies. Against the foe in vales below, Let all our strength be hurled. Faith is the Victory, we know, that overcomes the world." O, GLORIOUS victory that overcomes the world. The Light and the Glory -AMERICA

Go on the White House Website and see Obama touring

the Great Wall of China on his recent trip while here at home so many people are out of work and financially hurting. You would think if he had to make any trip he would forget the sight seeing and get home to work on jobs and other important issues that need a lot of attention.

There are many distractions to the oh-so-obvious signs that we are approaching a one world government...the North American Union...Obama trying to be "president for the world"...The Council on Foreign Relations and Trilateral Commission coming out from under the radar...the economic and fiscal problems that will "demand" a new currency (the Amero?)...check it out!

I urge you to unmask this to the American Patriots, so perhaps the many issues we are now facing as a nation will be recognized by the citizenry for what they are...steps toward one world government.

So what does it take to stop this administration. Yes, we know what he is doing, dismantling and destroying America with his Community Organizer mentality, and administration's plan for a Socialistic Government. It's been said, stated, and in progress. You write about it, Fox News exposes, everyone knows it. And all we are doing is sitting around talking about it. So do we wait until the next election to vote these socialists out of power? It will be too late. There needs to be a display as never seen before for our America, to take it back, to give it back or be impeached. He is not supporting nor protecting our Constitution, which was his oath of office, was it not? He his committing treason. Nor is he listenting to the people. Am I wrong? How about a Million Person Walk in Washington, to support Consitutional Rights, to reverse what Obama and Dems are doing. I would go....how about you? How about the anniversary of Obama's Inauguration?

OK, fellow Americans, it appears we are all on the same page and we need to unite and get going. We have to pick a place to do this. I think we need to consider the following theory.

It is difficult to identify the precise degree of President Obama's collectivist bent. The closest I have come is that he is a bolshivic, perhaps a Stalinist. What we can theorize is that he intends to do the most possible harm he can do to the United States and that his every act, act not words, is intended to and does harm our interests - to the maximum degree possible.

I am aware of many facts that serve to prove this theorem. I am not aware of any facts that tend to disprove it. Perhaps your readers can enlighten me.

One use of a theory is to predict actions. Here are a couple such. He will approve some but not all of Gen. McChrystal's request but not all will be combat troops. He will delay until December, insuring that they do not arrive in time. He will couple this decision with the coup de grace for Don't Ask/Don't Tell.

He will continue to maneuver for the passage of the health care bill, then cap and trade. At some point in the next year or so, he will start a major push on some gun control bill with onerous provisions for gun ownership including unconstitutional limits on buying and owning guns.

Pick your own litmus test from the above menu or make your own.

If my theory is right, the country needs to remove him from office immediately, just as we removed President Nixon. It will take, at the least, impeachment proceedings.

One of the very good reasons why we need to let millions more illegals come into the country is by allowing, say 15 or 20 million more illegals come right away, we can spread out the debt we owe to ourselves, to them. So in just a few years we will owe ourselves less than if we kept all that debt to ourselves, which would be selfish. Lets have debt redistribution of the debt as well as the wealth. let's not be selfish.

Millions now believe that Obama has broken his promise to uphold the Constitution of the United States. He even says now that it is a fundamentally "flawed document."

All of us have watch him and his ilk dismantle this country inch by inch, day by day, and now is the time to call for his impeachment.

Our precious country will not survive another year of his government take over, much less three more years of the promotion of his Socialist agenda.

If you read the Constitution is is not only our right, but our duty to take this country back and impeach a rogue President.

His records from birth are are sealed so we don't even know who this man is in our White House. What we can infer is frightening at the highest levels.

Call for impeachment, now, before it's too late and our voice no longer matters.

I can find no warrant for this {bailout} in the

power and duty of government ought to extend

to the relief of individuals. A tendency to

disregard the limited mission of the government's

to the end that, though the people support the

You don't have to be a rocket scientist to understand why the cost of any government program will cost more than even the most conservative estimate. As long as the monetary policies in place for so long now, continue to be, all costs will go up.

The government (republicans and democrats) believes that a drop in prices is bad and that price increase is a sign of a strong, growing economy. Price increases only means that there is another bubble(s) growing and the burst is somewhere around the corner. They keep prices artificially high with all manner of subsisidies. Whether it's in the form of home loans, bailouts, cash for clunkers, entitlements, printing money or welfare. On top of all that the entire system is built on rolling debt. We are setup to fail. America is for sale because she has borrowed beyond her means and with seemingly no intention to be debt free.

Of all the writers that appear within the Patriot Post, Thomas Sowell gets it. Of all the Rebublican candidates in the running this past election, one understands it. Yet he was treated as an outcast by his own party. As long as the wrong candidates are made out to be good candidates we can expect things to get worse. We cannot afford any longer to support any candidate that doesn't get it.

Mark. Why don't we get all our ducks in a row and get Obasma impeached. Further whyn not a campaign across the Nation to vote all incumbents ut of office. None of them are any help or any good for America. Let me know when we are going to do much more than bellyache and or complain.

Some type of combined action by all onservative leaders including guys liuke Lou Dobbs, Fox News, Newsmax, etc.

When all of them are coming together as Patriots to stop this evil SOB in his tracts, I believe Patriots everywhere will start sending the bucks.

Americans everywhere are ready to keep their powder dry, but they are more anxious to spend it against traitors.

We are all aware of what the endgame plan is, but we want our bucks to go toward a new plan of Revolution if the "Vote Incumbents Out" effort doesn't get off the ground. Otherwise, count on pockets of resistance out here.

Also, have you thought of a Taxpayer's Revolution.

That could stop them short in their tracks. How are they going to hunt down and jail 150,000,000 people who file zero tax returns.

They are breaking the law, and the only way they can be stopped is bymsome revolution.

When you're ready for that, here is a Patriot who will put his life on line, but not his Posterities' futures.

Have a good day.

Hello,

I'm getting tired of the Reagan this and Reagan that in the various ocnservative blogs. Reagan was not an economic god and the economy under Mr. Reagan was not terribly robust. The dollar took a major hit from about 1985/1986 on. Mr. reagan set the stage and the tone for massive deficits in the years following his terms.

The same goes in spades for Steve Forbes and Mitt Romney. We must move past these people and find leaders who can tie balanced budgets and sustainable employment together with a way to reduce government at all levels. At the same time, we must work to abolish the power of the the elite policy crowd.

Lower taxes? Yes, on small businesses, but raise the taxes on incomes over some level, probably about $3 million a year. I doubt very much that massive incomes and low taxes generate much in the way of economic growth. Economic growth comes from small businesses, not from a Wall Street partner or hedge fund manager making a billion a year.

Break up the banks? Absolutely. Create smaller companies organized along business lines and distribute the shares to the existing shareholders.

Reimpose Glass-Steagal? Yes. 'Nuff said. The Clinton era repeal was a disaster.

Rein in the Fed and work to get rid of it? Yes. Ron Paul is right and the citizenry is lining u behind him.

Abolish the Council of Foreign Relations? Yes. This group is actively working against the best interests of the USA and democracy.

Pass a Constitutional Ammendment requiring the execution of 5% of all lobbyists and their clients each year? Yes. 'Nuff said.

Obviously some of these are good ideas that will never come to pass, but you get the idea.

We need leaders with ideas and the ability to get their ideas implemented.

America lost in 1992, 1996 and 2008 because the Republicans ran people on the basis that it was "their turn" to try. I would say that we also lost in 2000 and 2004 because we elected a bozo who was manipulated by the Wizard of Oz.

Let's open up both the party and the political and economic process. Let's get rid of the cant and lies. Let's cut government. Let's start conducting foreign policy for America first and the "New World Order" last. One World? Not for us. Let's start worrying about and acting to improve the state of the country we will leave to our children and grandchildren.

Cheers,

Barry Harmon

Talk, talk, talk. We already know the facts and evils being prepretrated on them American people.,

No one is going to do anything about things until some definite moves are made to do one or more of the following.

1. Start impeachment proceedings.

2. Start a taxpayer's rebellion against IRS

3. Start a movement to vote out all incumbents regardless of political party.

No one is going to do any of the three things above so long as they are comfortable Americans. Obama has seen to that by giving funds to the poor to get their votes. We who pay the taxes do a zero tax return and claim our withheld taxes as a refund.

How is IRS going to audit 100000000 tax returns? or jail anyone?

Destroy Politics by destroying Party support. Everyone registers as an Independent. Parties already know how most people are voting because Primaries make you choose one or the other parties, and election boards across the states are corrupt. So there can be repercussions when this happens. Vote writeins for President? Good idea, Jim. Let's make elections honest again.

When any movement in 1,2, or 3 above is commenced, this Patriot will support it fanancially big time.

I cannot in good faith as a Patriot support anything which already has made me aware. Try to get the American Public to move. The ignorance of non Patriots will be their downfall, but right now, most people are apparently not interested in changing anything while they are personally comfortable. Very sad.

Decide for yourself if this rubric applies to the current President: What is salient in delusions of grandeur is not just that the grandiose self-conception is usually fantastic but also that the ordinary and laborious channels of achievement are completely circumvented and a shortcut route is taken to a "success" which is exaggerated to the point of caricature. In delusions of grandeur the sense of caricature is present without the sense of grand rationale that is provided in delusions of persecution. What may go overlooked, because of the psychotic context of the delusory belief, is that delusions of grandeur are not only venal but evince a desire for success without effort, a common element of criminal thought patterns. Further, a Messianic personality demands the same as the Christ: "Only through me...I am the Way...." The difference is that our Christ invited. A Messianic personality commands absolute obedience.

Obama will be impeached if we are hit again, if the damage is beyond repair and/or unemployment reaches the 20% plateau. The first circumstance may bring on the third. The resulting chaos of another strike against us will be so great that Democrats a and RINOs will not be able to resist the anger of the people. December 21, 2012: We're about see if the Maya were correct about the "end of the Age." I hate to think that that's what it'll take to awaken the People from their lethargy.

Interesting comments from all (some stupid, some hypocritical, but all interesting). Take a look at some:

1. Impeachment: Not possible while the fascist government controls Congress...to be considered later

2. No Constitutional authority...very true, but since the republicans are also on board with this, so what??

3. What will it take to stop the gutting of our nation?: Unless a new government, based on Constitutional principles is reinstated, the next stop is complete collapse of the United States as a nation and as a people. The fascists believe they can control the crash and rebuild this nation in their image. They are WRONG as the people will not support it.

4. Civil War: Highly likely at this point since the people are finally starting to see that the government is NOT responsive to their will anymore. Prepare for the collapse, and know who your friends are.

Side note: Might this not be an excellent opportunity for the South to rise again? Just a thought!

Note to Riffleman: We've already been hit again. The fringe media (abc, cbs, etc) has done their best to reduce it to nothing..with sucess. In my humble opinion, the only thing that will stop the elevator from crashing is the sudden stop at the bottom.

I heard the Palin interview on Hannity last night and she sounded like a viable candidate for 2012, but it very well could be way too little, way too late. The cavalry may arrive just in time to bury the bodies from the wagon train. I'm not saying don't try to stop it. I'm saying that one must be prepared for that sudden stop at the bottom of the elevator shaft. Groups and prepared individuals are needed now to make sure that the country will carry on if all hell does break loose in the next few years. BE PREPARED!!

Love all your articles, Mark! But our national debt is way, way more than #12T. People have been quoting that figure since the early '90s... we are so far in debt that most of what the government is doing worldwide is due to the fact we have become "servant to the lender," in the words of Proverbs 22:7. We are in such bondage as the world has never seen before.

If we are to successfully put down the rebellion against the Constitution within Congress and the Executive Department, we will first need the support of state governments. This means electing legislators, Attorneys General and governors who will stand up to the Feds and refuse to recognize the applicability of unconstitutional laws within their states. It also means electing Secretaries of State who will actively fight attempts to corrupt the electoral process.

The First American Revolution was nearly ten years in the making. The colonial legislatures made numerous appeals to the King and Parliament for relief from the various impositions on the liberty of their constituents. The final spark came when the British Army moved to confiscate weapons, although there was plenty of hot talk before then. If the hotheads had fired first, without the colonial legislatures on board, they would have been put down and quickly executed, and "the shot heard 'round the world" might have been nothing but a historical footnote in the annals of the British Empire.

The states ratified the Constitution or joined the Union under it on our behalf. It is their duty to take the lead in enforcing it.

The time to take up arms is when the Federal usurpers attempt to force their illegal mandates over the states' protests, or try to subvert the legal or electoral processes. Read the Declaration of Independence again - it was not a hasty action.

It would be most unwise to provide an excuse for martial law before there is sufficient organization to face it down - or prevent it altogether.

For our part, we can refuse to participate in Federal programs. Let us see if we can support our parents without Medicare or Social Security, or if they are already gone, another retired relative or friend. Let us protest every time our local governments apply for Federal grants. We can leave blank any lines on Form 1040 demanding information on our health care insurance or calculation of the illegal direct tax on not having it. (Do NOT try to write your legal case on the tax return - the IRS calls that a "frivolous" return and fines you for it. Besides, the peon who takes your check out of the envelope has nothing to say about it one way or the other. Save it for the court case.)

The Tenth Amendment Foundation is planning to walk into a Federal Court the minute Mr. Obama scribbles his signature on the health insurance takeover and seek a writ of mandamus against it (Wall Street Journal, 19 November). They have documented a number of the bill's specific violations of the Constitution, and are seeking directly affected parties to join the suit. See http://10thamendmentfoundation.org/Home_Page.html

We are not done with the peaceful petitions for the redress of grievances. Except for the foregoing, I haven't heard of any large-numbers class action suits to keep any of this year's Congressional garbage from Washington from being dumped on us. Come on! Aren't there any lawyers among the Patriots who will take our cases?

It might just be effective to offer to purchase Obama & Co. retirement homes in the Caribbean Socialist Workers' Paradise 90 mi. S of Florida if they go peacefully and promise never to darken our doors again; I'm sure they'll feel welcome there, where all of their fantasies are already in law and "operational".

In general, great comments overall. However, I'm very tired of seeing the the term "subprime" used when referring to the "BAD" mortgages written by Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac. No private mortgage organization would have approved these loans; but as long as everyoine, including the Patriot staff, allows the government & liberals to indirectly define these loans by masking them as "subprime", then many people will continue to be misled into believing these loans were really good loans supported by the resources of the individuals that received them. These were not good loans, they were bad loans made without sufficient support. Frankly, the reporting continues to be "subprime" from all sides.

"No Constitutional authority...very true, but since the republicans are also on board with this, so what??"

Look again - the rank and file Republicans are as irate with the defectors at the top of the party as they are with the socialists on the other side of the aisle. The RINOs and so-called moderates are distinctly in the minority. The only way they know how to have any influence is by betraying the principles of the rest of the party.

If you check the Roll Call on H. R. 3200, only one Republican voted for it, and he said he only did so because he comes from Welfare City, LA (aka New Orleans) and would be lynched if he voted otherwise (where did he leave his spine?). The Senate is a different story; some Democrats there wear Republican masks in public (Snowe, Collins, et al.). Please do not confuse them with Republicans.

If you follow http://www.cnsnews.com, you know that Republicans have been protesting the illegality of the health insurance takeover, but their complaints fall on deaf ears. Mr. Obama invited them to the White House back in February to "discuss bipartisanship." His message was, "We won. That trumps everything." Obviously der Grosser Fuhrer thinks that includes the Constitution and the Law of God. We must disabuse him of that awful delusion.

What Obama, Pelosi and Reid are trying to do to this country is so sickening. Yet it seems the majority of this nation's citizens, outside of somewhat benign tea party gatherings, just keep sitting around as if nothing will happen to hurt it. I don't know why we aren't all running outside into our communities having huge, very loud uprisings to speak out against what the current administration and majority in Congress is doing to the U.S.

The Senate Health Care Bill vote is an abomination and it is a huge emergency that we revolt against it. This Saturday is going to be a critical time for our country--we must bombard our elected "leaders" and demand they not vote on this profane bill, or they WILL be elected out of office. Actually, most need to be elected out no matter what they do and new, Constitution-following politicians voted into office.

The Bible is the Holy Bible and the verse you can not seem to locate is II Thessalonians 3:10, "For even when we were with you, this we COMMANDED you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat."

The Patriot Post is terrific.

On page 3 (of 5 pages) you cite U.S. National Debt of $12 trillion, "approximately $39,000 for every man, woman and child in America." Good... but why don't you cite each person's share based upon debt and unfunded liabilities? $340,000! This number is more accurate and nine times the amount for only debt. The truth needs to be told!

In fact, I like to cite the liability per taxpayer which doubles the figure.

Conservatives should cite this horrific number at every opportunity to make public aware of TOTAL individual liability.

Respectfully submitted.

I signed a petition several days ago, for the ousting of "the messiah". With librtals in charge, who knows how far it will go and the news sure isn't going to tell anyone. There is a good number

There is a good number of legal firms that are get-

ting petitions and defending those that the left has done a number on. There is also a big bunch of organizations that get petitions for the issues: the silencing of the radio talk shows, our troops, forbidding anything Christian, "one natiom",immigration, ousting the U.N.,Eng. only, pro-life, guns etc.

Truth or Fiction" has an Obama quote "in response to the response" to his plan to make the soldiers' ins. carriers pay for their injuries:

"Nobody made these guys go too war. They had to have known and accepted the risks. Now they whine about bearing the costs of their choice? It doesn't compute...I thought these were people who were proud to sacrefice for their country. I wasn't asking for blood, just money. With the country facing the worst financial crisis in its history, I'd thought that the patriotic thing to do would be to try to help reduce the nation's deficit. I guess I underestimated the selfishness of some of my fellow Americans."

How about each of us contacting the local Repub. head[s], every church and conserv. mind, about a meeting that could be held in a large church?

Ronald A. Hamilton Jr.

Mark Alexander's article does deserve credit in expressing the dire current state of affairs both politcally and financially. I noticed the article was not dated and as of this date (11-20-2009) we taxpayers are now in debt to the Chinese for over a Trillion dollars. I've read through different sources the Chinese are also very concerned on our ability to repay this debt considering the new Health Care bill and other legislation currently in the House and Senate that will logrithimically increase our overall debt even further. Hopefully this Health care bill fails because logic dictates that we cannot afford it. Americans can neither afford the con job of "Cap and Trade" bullshit either. Health care for all could be done but it would take dramatic changes that didn't take place due to sacred cash cows of the existing status quo. It would take serious tort reform, reigning in the insurance industry, AMA, Big Pharma, education (tuition costs for doctors and medical professionals)...etc. The entire health care industry needs to be completely overhauled where all Americans can truly afford quality health care(the kind of health care our current government gets.)

I believe that Job creation is the foundation of the answer that will solve many of our financial woes and our taxes should have been applied as such instead of Big Bank bailouts and nationalization of corporations and other free enterprises. Legislation should have been made to enhance bankruptcy courts to control the outcomes of the "to big to fail" financial houses and not the Federal Reserve or Congress.

Money and Greed dictates our status quo and until the human race can control these base instincts, I do not have a clue how this could be accomplished. Lobbyists and special interest would also need to be dramatically curtailed. Our current political base is controlled by the forces of money, power, and corruption when it should be controlled by leaders not corrupted and properly vetted and representing the true wishes elected by the hard working tax paying citizens. I believe in concepts of free enterprise and less government. But since these man made concepts are not perfect they must be regulated (and enforced) by common sense dictates. Our current political parties of Democrats and Republicans are not representing us or our wishes and need to be replaced. I fear true changes to correct the massive problems this country faces will require a voilent uprising of its citizens to restore this country back to those principles and values upon which this nation was originally conceived.

As a proud patriot I have had the privilege to serve my country to protect the rights and freedoms for all American citizens. I am saddened by the fact that not all of us take those rights and freedoms seriously and understand that all those rights and freedoms come with high cost and should be treated with a high sense of personal responsibility. Such responsibility is not being exercised by our current leadership.

I have a question, does anybody on this post have any further information regarding the issue concerning the citizenship status of our current president? My understanding is that it is being quietly determined (due to our media and the considerable effort to hide the facts) at the Supreme Court. There seems to be considerable evidence that Obama was foriegn born and as such it is illegal for him to hold this office. Which also begs the question why was he not fully vetted and investigated before the presidential election even begun?

Dear Fellow Patriots,

Look up the Cloward-Piven strategy. I believe the intention of this evil president (and he is pure evil) is to intentionally bankrupt America, so that the dumbed-down, brainwashed half of the citizens of our nation will cry out for help from (where else) the federal government, thereby positioning themselves for a full (not just a soft) tyranny. It is not unlike the drug addict looking to break free of his addiction from drugs but instead of turning to his Creator for help, turns one more time to his substance of choice, but this time it's the death blow.

My fellow conservative patriots, we MUST stand up and be heard NOW MORE THAN EVER! Now is not the time to be faint of heart. Our nation's freedom is at stake. WE MUST CLEAN HOUSE IN 2010! Senators and representatives who voted for this health care boondoggle and the stimulus package must be removed from office. Get involved at the grassroots level in your city, county, state! You Christians who are on the fence and have settled into the belief that this government is ordained by God, better rethink your position. You'd better do some serious praying and scripture reading. Passivity is not going to save our nation. Realize that this is as much a spiritual battle as it is a political battle. Do you want godless socialism or communism to reign in our once free nation? If you are passive, then godless communism will have won out, without so much as a shot being fired. THINK ABOUT THIS! WAKE UP AMERICA!

Heres a true test for Obamas health care, we should insist that all of congress and president should have to give up their gold plated health care that they pay very little for or nothing for and have same coverage as the rest of america.do they care about the seniors who will be hurt most by obama care, no because their gold plated coverage goes on for life at no cost to them,Lets ask each and every one of them to get the same coverage and cost as their trying to force on us. I certainly agree with "FreeNorth" on the proper function of the Electoral College.

Last December, when they met in the Capitals of our States, if they would have "seriously considered" the duties of their office, the Electoral Colleges of the States would have "called the question", they should have refused to "certify the election" until all Constitutional questions were answered.

I, personally, faxed the State Attorneys who would address these Electoral Colleges on the "prerogatives of the Electoral College" across this Nation, but the "importance of the Electoral College" seems to have escaped them.

For years, in this Beloved Country, the subject of the "Electoral College" has been discussed by the "smart alecks" at the universities, and they came to the conclusion that the "Electoral College" was an "antiquated appendage". If the Electoral Colleges would have "exercised" their great "prerogative" last December, we, the people, would have been spared. But because of this "education" to destroy the "Electoral College" We, the people, now, find ourselves in great turmoil. It was exactly why the Beloved Founders put the "Electoral College" in the Constitution, to keep we, the people, from violations of the Constitution BEFORE the trouble was sanctioned and the Constitution insulted and destroyed.

We need to show charts of Obama's increased spending vs Bush so people get the message. Verbal math doesn't motivate people like a graphic picture does.

We need to plaster all over US a cartoon of Obama riding a trojan horse into America loaded with Congress, Soros, Move-On.org, ACLU, PAW, NAACP, NOW, NEA, SEIU, etc. destroying our country. Then people would start to wake up!!!

Janet, Conservatives need to take back the House and the Senate before the consummate liar, anti-American, terrorist lover, and abortionist, Barack Hussein Obama, can be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors against the United States. This means that Republicans have to win House and Senate seats, and constitute a majority in Congress after the 2010 elections, to get the much-needed impeachment ball rolling. But, I'm not sure Republicans would be up to the challenge to take our country back from the media-supported, Maoist, Marxist, Socialist cabal currently transforming America into a redistributive gulag. We need to vote for true conservatives who understand and believe in the U.S. Constitution; who are comfortable with the word "Victory;" who believe in the free market system, lower taxes, and a more benign centralized government as expounded by James Madison in the Federalist Papers; who fight for a strong military; who broadcast American exceptionalism without shame; who demand accountability among elected representatives; who write legislation that can be read in one sitting and that is written in plain language; who believe the right of unborn, innocent children not be murdered in the womb is sacrosanct; and who hold the conviction that illegal aliens are debasing our nationhood, and are dangerous to our domestic welfare. We also require that elected officials believe in the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms; that they have the understanding that man-made global warming, as postulated by Al Gore and U.N. ICCP socialists, is a lie; who think that affirmative action is paternalism and degrading to those it supposedly is affirming; who have the belief that the poor aren't fundamentally helped in the long run by providing cradle to grave entitlements for them. Above all, we need Republicans in Congress who agree with Thomas Jefferson that our rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, come from a higher power, not from the pens of government officials who often do not have the best at heart intentions for those they govern.

Obama's self-chosen disability.....

Deterministic systems, ideological symbols of abdication

by man from his natural role as earth's Choicemaker,

inevitably degenerate into collectivism; the negation of

singularity, they become a conglomerate plural-based

system of measuring human value. Blunting an awareness

of diversity, blurring alternatives, and limiting the

selective creative process, they are self-relegated to

a passive and circular regression.

Tampering with man's selective nature endangers his

survival for it would render him impotent and obsolete

by denying the tools of variety, individuality,

perception, criteria, selectivity, and progress.

Coercive attempts produce revulsion, for such acts

are contrary to an indeterminate nature and nature's

indeterminate off-spring, man the Choicemaker.

Until the oppressors discover that wisdom only just

begins with a respectful acknowledgment of The Creator,

The Creation, and The Choicemaker, they will be ever

learning but never coming to a knowledge of the truth.

The rejection of Creator-initiated standards relegates

the mind of man to its own primitive, empirical, and

delimited devices. It is thus that the human intellect

cannot ascend and function at any level higher than the

criteria by which it perceives and measures values.

Additionally, such rejection of transcendent criteria

self-denies man the vision and foresight essential to

decision-making for survival and progression. He is left,

instead, with the redundant wreckage of expensive hind-

sight, including human institutions characterized by

averages, mediocrity, and regression.

Humanism, mired in the circular and mundane egocentric

predicament, is ill-equipped to produce transcendent

criteria. Evidenced by those who do not perceive

superiority and thus find themselves beset by the shifting

winds of the carnal-ego; i.e., moods, feelings, desires,

appetites, etc., the mind becomes subordinate: a mere

device for excuse-making and rationalizing self-justifica-

tion.

The carnal-ego rejects criteria and self-discipline for such

instruments are tools of the mind and the attitude. The

appetites of the flesh have no need of standards for at the

point of contention standards are perceived as alien, re-

strictive, and inhibiting. Yet, the very survival of our

physical nature itself depends upon a maintained sover-

eignty of the mind and of the spirit.

It remained, therefore, to the initiative of a personal

and living Creator to traverse the human horizon and

fill the vast void of human ignorance with an intelli-

gent and definitive faith. Man is thus afforded the

prime tool of the intellect - a Transcendent Standard

by which he may measure values in experience, anticipate

results, and make enlightened and visionary choices.

Only the unique and superior God-man Person can deserved-

ly displace the ego-person from his predicament and free

the individual to measure values and choose in a more

excellent way. That sublime Person was indicated in the

words of the prophet Amos, "...said the Lord, Behold,

I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel."

Y'shua Mashiyach Jesus said, "If I be lifted up I will

draw all men unto myself."

As long as some choose to abdicate their personal reality

and submit to the delusions of humanism, determinism, and

collectivism, just so long will they be subject and re-

acting only, to be tossed by every impulse emanating from

others. Those who abdicate such reality may, in perfect

justice, find themselves weighed in the balances of their

own choosing.

"No one is smarter than their criteria."
