Happy New Year!

We enjoyed a week of rest and recovery with our families, but we enter this year locked and loaded.

At no time since FDR’s regime has our republic’s Constitution, and the Liberty it enshrines, been at greater risk of evisceration by political “enemies domestic.”

Thus, your Patriot Team has resolved for 2013 that we will continue to do what we have done with every breath since our inception – defend Liberty – and with every ounce of vigor we can muster. And we vow to recruit more American Patriots to our cause this year than ever before.

We have redoubled our commitment to our mission, and we stand firm in our oaths to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” as summed up in our motto: “Pro Deo et Constitutione – Libertas aut Mors, Semper Fortis Vigilate Paratus et Fidelis!” (For God and Constitution – Liberty or Death, Always Strong, Vigilant, Prepared and Faithful!)

We will remain steadfast in that resolve until our last breath, and we know that tens of millions of you will do likewise.

We enter this New Year with two ominous threats to Liberty that affirm just how critical our mission really is.

1. Barack Hussein Obama and his neo-com cadres endeavor to dismantle the Second Amendment – “the palladium of the Liberties of the Republic,” and the best means of defending Rule of Law against the tyranny of men. The bodies of murdered children had scarcely been removed from Sandy Hook Elementary School before Barack Obama was, shamefully, stacking up their coffins to use as a platform for his disarmament agenda – an agenda that he and his cadres conceal behind a thin façade of “concern for public safety.” According to his lawless Attorney General, Eric Holder, Obama is considering implementing new “gun control” mandates by way of Executive Order if Congress fails to enact the measures his administration seeks. Obama greatly underestimates the resolve of armed American Patriots.

2. The Potomac politicos averted the so-called “fiscal cliff” by setting a new course for certain fiscal meltdown. The “deal” Obama’s autopen signed provides $1 in tax cuts for every $41 in tax increases, and $1 in spending cuts for every $10 in tax increases. And this doesn’t even take into account the coming ObamaCare taxes. Because employee payroll taxes are going up 50 percent, more than 75 percent of households will pay higher taxes in 2013. Obama put off any spending cuts for two months in order to buy time promoting “needed investments,” mostly expanding the rolls of government “union workers.” In other words, Obama and his neo-coms will not agree to any substantive spending cuts and, instead, plan to continue accruing deficits of at least a half trillion dollars annually. By way of Executive Order, Obama increased the wages of all his public service unionistas, the better to ensure their allegiance to his regime.

Welcoming in the New Year with a New York Times Op/Ed, one of Obama’s colleagues, Louis Michael Seidman, “professor of constitutional law” at Georgetown University, summarized Obama’s second term plan for “fundamentally transforming” the USA, under the title, “Let’s give up on the Constitution.” Seidman condemned what Obama publicly can’t: “our insistence on obedience to the Constitution, with all its archaic, idiosyncratic and downright evil provisions.”

Indeed, that transformation to a socialist state was, and remains, Obama’s political objective.

In response to these menacing threats to Liberty, it is our resolution, for the support of our Declaration of Independence and its subordinate guidance, our Constitution, that, “with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”

While the near-term future might look bleak, there is great opportunity in the current crisis to strengthen Liberty for ourselves and our posterity. As Ronald Reagan urged us during another very difficult time in our nation’s history: “My fellow citizens, our nation is poised for greatness. We must do what we know is right, and do it with all our might. Let history say of us: ‘These were golden years – when the American Revolution was reborn, when freedom gained new life, and America reached for her best.’”
