Resolved for 2013

For the New Year and the Future of Liberty!

Happy New Year!

We enjoyed a week of rest and recovery with our families, but we enter this year locked and loaded.

At no time since FDR’s regime has our republic’s Constitution, and the Liberty it enshrines, been at greater risk of evisceration by political “enemies domestic.”

Thus, your Patriot Team has resolved for 2013 that we will continue to do what we have done with every breath since our inception – defend Liberty – and with every ounce of vigor we can muster. And we vow to recruit more American Patriots to our cause this year than ever before.

We have redoubled our commitment to our mission, and we stand firm in our oaths to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” as summed up in our motto: “Pro Deo et Constitutione – Libertas aut Mors, Semper Fortis Vigilate Paratus et Fidelis!” (For God and Constitution – Liberty or Death, Always Strong, Vigilant, Prepared and Faithful!)

We will remain steadfast in that resolve until our last breath, and we know that tens of millions of you will do likewise.

We enter this New Year with two ominous threats to Liberty that affirm just how critical our mission really is.

1. Barack Hussein Obama and his neo-com cadres endeavor to dismantle the Second Amendment – “the palladium of the Liberties of the Republic,” and the best means of defending Rule of Law against the tyranny of men. The bodies of murdered children had scarcely been removed from Sandy Hook Elementary School before Barack Obama was, shamefully, stacking up their coffins to use as a platform for his disarmament agenda – an agenda that he and his cadres conceal behind a thin façade of “concern for public safety.” According to his lawless Attorney General, Eric Holder, Obama is considering implementing new “gun control” mandates by way of Executive Order if Congress fails to enact the measures his administration seeks. Obama greatly underestimates the resolve of armed American Patriots.

2. The Potomac politicos averted the so-called “fiscal cliff” by setting a new course for certain fiscal meltdown. The “deal” Obama’s autopen signed provides $1 in tax cuts for every $41 in tax increases, and $1 in spending cuts for every $10 in tax increases. And this doesn’t even take into account the coming ObamaCare taxes. Because employee payroll taxes are going up 50 percent, more than 75 percent of households will pay higher taxes in 2013. Obama put off any spending cuts for two months in order to buy time promoting “needed investments,” mostly expanding the rolls of government “union workers.” In other words, Obama and his neo-coms will not agree to any substantive spending cuts and, instead, plan to continue accruing deficits of at least a half trillion dollars annually. By way of Executive Order, Obama increased the wages of all his public service unionistas, the better to ensure their allegiance to his regime.

Welcoming in the New Year with a New York Times Op/Ed, one of Obama’s colleagues, Louis Michael Seidman, “professor of constitutional law” at Georgetown University, summarized Obama’s second term plan for “fundamentally transforming” the USA, under the title, “Let’s give up on the Constitution.” Seidman condemned what Obama publicly can’t: “our insistence on obedience to the Constitution, with all its archaic, idiosyncratic and downright evil provisions.”

Indeed, that transformation to a socialist state was, and remains, Obama’s political objective.

In response to these menacing threats to Liberty, it is our resolution, for the support of our Declaration of Independence and its subordinate guidance, our Constitution, that, “with a firm reliance on the protection of divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.”

While the near-term future might look bleak, there is great opportunity in the current crisis to strengthen Liberty for ourselves and our posterity. As Ronald Reagan urged us during another very difficult time in our nation’s history: “My fellow citizens, our nation is poised for greatness. We must do what we know is right, and do it with all our might. Let history say of us: ‘These were golden years – when the American Revolution was reborn, when freedom gained new life, and America reached for her best.’”

May God bless and keep you each one, and may He bless our pursuit of Liberty in this coming year.

The lack of historical knowledge by our lower income; aka "middle class" citizens is astounding. The you have the pervers ones with the PhD, that tell them, what the US Constitution really means is.... Which is wrong. So keep up the good work, and I hope one day everyone will know what our Founding Fathers read, wrote and understood to be good Government at the Federal, State (independent) and local (County,City) levels.

Please don't denigrate PhDs, which my wife and I both earned. We're also members of the NRA (myself a Patron Life Member). I'm a decorated Vietnam veteran and the son of a police chief with 41 years service (a WWII marine). I understand your position. I also loathe what goes on in most of our universities. I know you don't intend to refer to all of us that chose our professions, but it makes me nervous. Remember China's cultural revolution!

Sachs, I agree and would like to thank you and your wife for your commitment to educate the young people in our country. I have a son that earned his PhD He is a proud Virginian, smart, articulate, Conservative, and an American Patriot that supports and defends the constitution and our civil liberties. I'm also a fellow member of the NRA, and I thank you for you commitment to the NRA as well. I'm also from the Vietnam era and I thank you for your service to our country, and I thank your father for his service in WWII, and his continued service protecting us as a Police officer. I don't think the person posting the PhD comment was intending to refer to everyone, I think he was just venting. But I agree with you Sir, It upsets me when people paint their comments with such broad strokes, and like you Sir, it makes me very, very nervous. I just wanted to jump in here and say hello to a fellow Virginian, after all you are just right up the road from me. ;) Virginia has a long history and tradition of having citizens with good character. Sounds to me like you, and your wife, are keeping that tradition alive! I thank you both!

I have no intentions of loathing any well educate PhD that understands American History and what our Founding Fathers read, wrote and understood. I have two masters and one masters certificate. I would have attained my PhD in History, but there are no PhD History programs near my home that will take a die hard conservative that understands the above. I have worked with (non-GED, GED or High Diploma) people that quote these socialist PhD they hear on the MSM. These workers would not conduct their own research nor did they care to. I debunked 100% of what was quoted. Those same workers used words like, believe, think, it should be this way and not words like I know, understand, the facts show (all the facts not just the ones that prove my point). I worked in a Tire Warehouse after I retired from Active Duty as a LTC, because I needed the money. I have found a good paying job now. The lack of understanding by those that voted for Odumma is great. You can't get them to see it, because every time I won the arguement, they would start screaming at me. Just typical liberal hogwash. I intend too start writing the local papers like our founding fathers to get the history of this country out. I know I will be meet with stupid ignorant people, the feel they Government owes them. It has to be done, if it is not done the flame of individual liberty will be snuffed out.

Can you believe.??
And soon he and his henchmen will raise the Debt limits, spend more and print more and he will have won.

I read the article posted at the link you provided. I agree with every point the writer made except one: our national highway system. I really don't think there is much wrong with it, except perhaps a bit of neglect in some areas.

I disagree with your assessment that "it is past time for an end to the Constitution." Perhaps you mean an end to the "living constitution?" We the people do need some governing document to chart our course, and the Constitution, as it was plainly written and intended is about the best we can hope for from mankind. The only real problem in this country is our abject failure as a people to hold those accountable who "don't worry about the Constitution" (Rep Phil Dare D-IL) as they pursue their agendas. If we could return to our Constitutional roots, if we could force the federal behemouth back into its Constitutionally restriced box, we would all to a person be far better off. If accomplishing this requires the seccession of several states, as I fear may be the case, then what are we waiting for?

Of course, it would require a 'living contract' and I can redefine the terms to my advantage any time I like? Would that be reasonable? How about if we agree to have an amendment process, so any changes are mutually agreeable? Well, doggone, guess what, the Constitution has exactly the same thing!"

"Thinly veiled" is hardly the phrase. The President takes an oath to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States. There are no differences between the First Amendement, the Second, or the Fifth. They are the law of the land. There is a mechanism by which the law may be changed and that is part of the Constitution to be defended, too.
