The Patriot Post® · Climate Cultists Causing Chaos
The climate activists’ antics are ever more puerile and counterproductive. We’ve seen them deface works of art, glue their hands to the floors of car showrooms, and even pour charcoal into the Trevi Fountain.
None of these demonstrations is endearing to the general public.
Writer and climate expert Michael Shellenberger describes the futile and destructive acts of the activists as the “behaviors of toddlers, of people who are not raised right, and now it’s been up to law enforcement to deal with their tantrums.”
Sadly, we’ve seen plenty of tantrums from the activists in recent weeks, the majority of which have been people blocking busy thoroughfares. The most famous one was when “nonviolent” climate protesters blocked the road to Burning Man in Nevada. Tribal police intervened after people in cars tried to get the protesters out of the street. Here is that video:
Blocking roadways is never a nonviolent act, especially when someone may be delayed during a medical emergency. Furthermore, these ecofascists forced miles and miles of cars to idle in the Nevada desert in the middle of August. Beyond that obvious health hazard, they (wink) may have singlehandedly created their own hole in the ozone from the car exhaust they caused by blocking the roadway.
The climate agenda boondoggle is also infecting our military. The Pentagon was focused on implementing climate initiatives in the military during the Afghanistan withdrawal, declaring the climate crisis a “national security risk” and being more worried about implementing green initiatives into the military complex than about the disaster that was unfolding in Afghanistan.
Green initiatives in the military will hardly keep the nation safer.
One of the changes is that all military equipment is assessed for green adjustments. How exactly does having a greener weapon make our military stronger? Spoiler: It doesn’t.
Another idea that has been floated is changing a fleet of non-tactical military vehicles to electric by 2030, which presents another problem. Electric vehicles’ batteries, though better than they were, are not very efficient. They have a small travel radius before they need to be charged. Then there’s the production of EV batteries, which is very environmentally unfriendly. Also, let’s say the military is in the Middle East. There aren’t exactly charging stations in the middle of the desert.
It’s almost as if climate-protecting initiatives are counterproductive in the long run. The “consensus” may also be cracking a bit, as 1,609 scientists have declared the climate “emergency” a myth. This includes two Nobel laureates. While they don’t deny the detrimental effects of greenhouse gasses, they have also said that the unrealistic net-zero CO2 goal is incredibly harmful to humanity and also is a politically useful scapegoat. The latter we have seen with devastating effect for the people of Maui, Hawaii. Climate change is blamed while the people who bungle the disasters get to keep their jobs.
Climate activists are following their fears and/or seeking to create power for themselves by pushing the narrative of impending climate doom. Their foot soldiers who block the roadways or deface paintings demonstrate just how deranged they are in their pursuit of their climate religion. They are worshiping a false god, and their actions bear the fruit.
