Climate

  • Killed by fossil fuels: At this point, it has become as predictable as thunder following lightning. Following any weather-related natural disaster, Leftmedia talkingheads immediately blame the bogeyman of climate change and the causal agent of that change, the fossil fuel industry. They’re paid to. As CNN states in its coverage of the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, “Supercharged by climate change: The storm’s intensity was fueled by warm waters due to fossil fuel use.” Note the combining of actual data with climate alarmist dogma. So, were the waters of the Gulf of Mexico cold prior to mankind’s use of fossil fuels? Did devastating storms not exist before humans were using coal and oil? The coast of Florida is littered with the wrecks of sailing ships that belie that logic. But the narrative of the “existential threat of climate change” must be maintained, so Leftmedia outlets like CNN faithfully pump out the climate alarmism propaganda.

Security

  • Israel kills Hezbollah leader: On Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces announced they had killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah via a targeted airstrike of the terrorist outfit’s headquarters in Beirut, Lebanon. The IDF posted on X, “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorize the world.” Nasrallah rose to power in 1992 and fomented a brutal campaign of terrorism against innocent civilians across the Middle East. Over his time in power, Nasrallah led Hezbollah in terror attacks against Americans, Israelis, and civilians in Syria and elsewhere in the Middle East. Demonstrating how hated he was in Syria, news of his death sparked dancing in the streets in the country’s northwest area. Meanwhile, Leftmedia outlets covering Nasrallah’s death effectively glossed over his history of brutality and murder. For example, The Washington Post called him a “father figure” and a “moral compass” to his followers. The New York Times dubbed him “a charismatic religious and political leader and military strategist who had dedicated his life to ‘resistance,’ or the fight against Israel and American influence in the Middle East.” The Associated Press pointed out that his supporters saw him as “a charismatic and shrewd strategist.”

Economy

  • A port strike looms over the election: At midnight tonight, tens of thousands of dockworkers could go on strike, thereby wreaking havoc on supply chains, emptying store shelves, and reigniting the inflation that has been a hallmark of the Biden-Harris administration. As The Daily Caller reports: “The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) — which represents more than 85,000 workers at three dozen U.S. ports along the East Coast and Gulf of Mexico and whose members collectively handle about half of the U.S.‘ maritime imports — has threatened to go on strike for the first time since 1977 if their wage and automation protection demands are not met by the United States Maritime Alliance (USMX) — the coalition representing shipping employers. The move could cost the U.S. economy roughly $5 billion a day in trade, and would massively disrupt supply chains in a way not seen since the COVID-19 pandemic.” The ILA has donated some $8 million to Democrats recently, so we’d expect the Biden-Harris administration to give it what it wants before it’s too late, and before a damaging strike gives folks one more reason to vote for Donald Trump.

Politics

  • John Kerry trashes First Amendment: John Kerry spoke at the World Economic Forum at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, where he said the quiet part out loud, lamenting the free speech protections afforded by the First Amendment. “If people go to only one source and the source they go to is sick, and, you know, has an agenda and they’re putting out disinformation, our First Amendment stands as a major block to the ability to be able to just, you know, hammer it out of existence,” Kerry said. He also attacked the growth of social media for making it difficult to build “consensus around any issue,” making it “really hard to govern today.” He implied a need to eliminate the First Amendment’s protection of free speech, stating, “What we need is to win the ground, win the right to govern by hopefully winning enough votes that you’re free to be able to implement change.” Kerry and those who share his tyrannical instinct are the very reason why the Founding Fathers wisely included the First Amendment within the Constitution’s Bill of Rights.

  • Kamala is the “change” low-information voters can believe in: Kamala Harris is hoping to fool low-information voters that she’s the change you can believe in despite having been attached at the hip to Joe Biden for the past four years. But then why is she retaining whole sections of Biden’s campaign platform and planning to retain a bunch of holdovers from his cabinet? If she’s the “change” candidate, wouldn’t she want to bring in her own people? Harris knows that Republicans are likely to retake the Senate, and her team knows that this means brutal and likely unsuccessful confirmation fights for her radical nominees. Either way, the change thing isn’t working. The Washington Free Beacon reports that a recent NY Times/Siena poll “found that more than double the number of voters surveyed viewed former president Donald Trump as representing a major change over Harris, 53 percent to 25 percent.”

  • Dems rely on long counts and dirty voter rolls: Once again this cycle, Democrats are angling to extend Election Day to ensure that they can “find” enough votes in enough swing states to put Kamala Harris over the top. But as The Federalist reports, a challenge to a new Mississippi voting law “has made its way to the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in a case that has the potential to ensure that elections end on Election Day.” In 2020, ostensibly due to the pandemic, Mississippi accepted ballots that had been received and counted as many as five business days after the election “so long as they were postmarked on or before Election Day.” Elsewhere in efforts to obstruct voting reform, the Biden-Harris Justice Department is suing Alabama for cleaning up its voter rolls. As the New York Post reports, “The Department of Justice sued the State of Alabama and its top election official, alleging that they had removed voters who had previously been issued noncitizen identification numbers from its election rolls too close to election day.”

  • Democrat donors fork over thousands to launch right-wing spoiler candidates (Washington Times)

  • College football faceplant: The Harris-Walz ticket has been hard at work trying to convince the American people that they’re not as radical as they seem to be. In this way, they hope to claw back some of the blue-collar white votes that they’ve been chasing away for the past 16 years with their racialism and their hard-leftism. This brings us to college football Saturday, during which Donald Trump was wooing football fans with free chow and getting a rock star’s welcome at the Alabama-Georgia game in Tuscaloosa while Tim Walz was getting booed even before he stepped foot inside Michigan Stadium. Yes, Alabama is deep red, and SEC Country is Trump Country, but when the Democrats’ vice-presidential candidate is getting booed in deep-blue Ann Arbor on the eve of his big debate, it sends a clear message that the Democrats are better off staying in their leftist America-hating lane.

  • Crazy leftist wants to dissolve SCOTUS: Logic has never been a strong element of the radical Left, as exhibited by leftist author Fran Lebowitz. Clearly not a fan of the current makeup of the “disgraceful” U.S. Supreme Court, Lebowitz declared, “It shouldn’t even be allowed to be called the Supreme Court.” She falsely characterized the presidential immunity ruling as “extremist” and beyond the pale: “When they passed that law, that ruling, where they said, ‘You’re not the president, there’s a king,’ which is what that ruling is, you can do whatever you want, you can never be held responsible, I thought, ‘You know, Biden is still the president. No one seems to notice.’ But I think Biden should dissolve the Supreme Court.” It might come as a surprise to a radical leftist like Lebowitz, but the Court does not make laws. Furthermore, the notion that Biden would have the power to dissolve SCOTUS is absurd, and she knows it. But thanks to the First Amendment, Lebowitz is fully protected in calling for the elimination of the Supreme Court, and thankfully, that remains so because the current Court is made up of a majority of originalist justices.
