Re: Who’s Paying for Trump’s Tariffs?
“The great thing about tariffs is that they make it possible for Americans to start companies that compete in price with Chinese and other foreign companies that don’t have the laws against pollution that we do and don’t have to pay their workers minimum wage. One purpose of tariffs is to create jobs that make American workers wealthier. Another point is to reduce the trade deficit, which means foreign companies have less American money to spend and more things to buy with it than just American politicians and American land.” —California
“If tariffs have little impact on foreign exporters, why would Japan agree to invest hundreds of billions of dollars to buy down its tariff rate to 15%? This is also true for quite a few other countries.” —California
“Even if this is true, which we suspected was going to happen all along, there are a lot of companies that are heading back to America and/or bringing in lots of fresh money, investments, and jobs. So, in the long run, would we rather have more American jobs and industry, or continue on the way we were, bleeding money and jobs and being invaded by illegals?” —Indiana
Re: SCOTUS Skeptical in Fed Firing Case
“Exactly where in our Constitution is there authorization for this unelected body called the Federal Reserve, which has been given the power by Congress to make hugely important decisions that affect our nation’s economy? The Federal Reserve is the creation of Democrat President Woodrow Wilson, the same guy who created the League of Nations after WWI, the prototype of the completely failed United Nations. Personally, I believe that the activist judicial branch of our government has stepped far beyond the powers delegated to it by the Constitution. It’s time to put a stop to its overreach!” —South Carolina
“Get rid of the Federal Reserve. Then the American people can’t get screwed by it anymore! Problem solved.” —Iowa
Re: This Weekend’s Other ICE Storm
“We need to thank the video reporter for getting the great face shots of the ‘protesters’ who illegally invaded the church service. It makes it much easier to identify them for arrest.” —Florida
“Moderate Democrats are the baby squirrels of the political spectrum. You hear about them but never see one. Abigail Spanberger is just another bitter, hate-filled Karen cat lady, but let’s give her credit for acting chops to get elected. It wouldn’t surprise me if her next EO was a 100% property tax increase on white conservatives so they can pay their fair share for their white privilege. Congratulations, Virginia.” —Oklahoma
“Hmm. Sounds a bit like what we got with Joe Biden. He was sold as a moderate Democrat, and the Republicans who didn’t want Donald Trump figured he would be a safe alternative. Well, look how that turned out. There are NO moderate Democrats anymore. If any are left, they are going to tag along with the party, as keeping their job is far more important than their integrity. Independent candidates can’t even be trusted to be moderate Democrats!” —California
Re: How Do Cellphones Affect Our Health?
“Thank you for being a voice of sanity. The flood of articles that say everything is safe is always expected whenever news comes out that threatens the telecom industry’s hold on our corrupt regulatory agencies.” —Oregon
Re: Profiles of Valor: Col Lee Ellis (USAF)
“Thank you for this outstanding and very moving profile of a genuine American Patriot, a man who survived hell and has since been a blessing to all who have read his books or heard his story.” —Illinois
“I met Colonel Ellis in the fall of 1985 when I was a newly minted USAF Captain attending Squadron Officer School at Maxwell. To look at that gentleman’s eyes, you knew he had been through hell. I have never seen such haunted eyes on a person, and I have never forgotten that encounter.” —California
“Lee is a member of Flight 102 of the Order of Daedalians here in Atlanta. He spoke recently about his experience as a POW, and he provided copies of his book, Captured by Love. He is a true legend as a fighter pilot, as he is a warrior and a gentleman.” —Georgia
