The Patriot Post® · Harris: Destroy 'Democracy' in Order to Save It
Have you ever heard someone say, “There are no stupid questions”?
Yes, there absolutely are stupid questions. My wife can confirm that I ask them.
That phrase comes to mind when reading news of Kamala Harris’s latest idea to save the Democrats: They need to hold a “No Bad Idea Brainstorm,” where they talk about … bad ideas.
“We talk about what we need to do and think about doing around the Electoral College,” Harris said. Translation: Abolish it or make an end run around it with the national popular vote ruse.
“We talk about the idea of Supreme Court reform,” she continued, “which includes expanding the Supreme Court.” Read: Pack the Court with left-wingers after the Democrats win the Senate. If they can’t win the legal arguments, they can overwhelm those arguments with more Ketanji Brown Jacksons.
As for the Court, she also wants “rules” that allow for punishing justices who “lie” to the Senate Judiciary Committee during confirmation hearings. I suppose that test would only apply to conservative appointees who don’t give the answers Democrats want to hear, and Democrats would engineer their questions to produce “lies” from the wrong nominees. Harris also touched on “ethics rules,” which again would apply only to conservative justices.
She went on, “Let’s talk about statehood for Puerto Rico and DC,” the only reason for which is to add two Democrat senators and one Democrat representative each.
Why is she dredging up all of these worn-out bad ideas that Democrats have been brainstorming for at least a decade? She answered that when she said, “We’ve got to neutralize these red states from cheating.”
Again, the translation there is simple: “We’ve got to neutralize these red states from winning.” Redistricting really sticks in Democrats’ craw right now.
“Look,” Harris concluded while ratcheting up her phony Southern black accent. “We gotta fight fire with fire. These folks are playin’ to win. We gotta play to win too.”
Kamala Harris is now calling for Democrats to hold a “No Bad Idea Brainstorm” where they discuss:

In short, Harris is making the same basic arguments Democrats have been making at least ever since Donald Trump won the GOP presidential nomination in 2016: We have to destroy democracy in order to save it.
They pretend as if Trump poses such a unique threat to our constitutional Republic that they are willing to wreck the Republic’s institutions — including the mechanism by which we have elected presidents since 1789 — in order to stop him. When Joe Biden repeatedly proclaimed that Trump represented the most perilous threat to democracy “since the Civil War,” he meant to invoke a crisis so terrible that it would justify all sorts of anti-democratic crackdowns.
But Democrats are the party of slavery, the party of Jim Crow and segregation, and the party of bulk-mail ballot fraud. They turned Election Day into Election Season while blocking integrity measures like voter ID as being “racist.” They harvest ballots, rig commissions, and count votes in the middle of the night with no oversight. They gerrymander Republicans entirely out of representation in many states. Heck, they tried to keep Trump off the ballot entirely in multiple states. I could go on.
Yet Harris is so worried about Republicans supposedly “cheating” with redistricting that she’s demanding Democrats take action to destroy institutions like the Supreme Court and the Electoral College. Harris is hardly the only one — in fact, she’s merely expressing mainstream Democrat positions.
Last week, Harris made it known that she wants the DNC’s autopsy of her 2024 defeat to be released. Number one, this is smoke and mirrors; Harris was a lousy candidate, even if she is currently the 2028 frontrunner. Number two, and much more important, Democrats did lose and should continue to lose because they hate our Constitution and want to dismantle the Republic in favor of their democratic socialist one-party state. They don’t want to know why they lost; they want to ensure it never happens again.
As conservative commentator Erick Erickson observed, “The throughline in Democratic thinking on courts and constitutions is not principle. It is outcome. Courts that deliver Democratic victories are independent guardians of democracy. Courts that do not must be delegitimized. That is not a constitutional philosophy. It is a power philosophy wearing constitutional clothing.”
Power is all Democrats care about, which is somewhat ironic given that they want to rule people they hate.
