The Patriot Post® · Brits March to Save Britain
They marched, yes, and they turned out by the tens of thousands. But it’s gonna take a lot more than marching to save Great Britain.
Saturday’s “Unite the Kingdom” rally was organized by the brave and outspoken Tommy Robinson, whose real name, Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, doesn’t roll off the tongue quite so sweetly.
I say “brave and outspoken” because Robinson, the founder of the nationalist and anti-Islamist English Defence League, is just that — so much so that a group of barbaric counter-protesting useful idiots was calling for his assassination, just like the recent assassination of a great American Christian soldier. “Shoot him in the neck,” these sickos cried, “like Charlie Kirk!”
Robinson was also a leading voice in calling attention to the most horrific of scandals — the years-long grooming and preying upon predominantly lower-class white girls by predominantly Pakistani Muslim men all across the UK. The number of victims is in the tens of thousands, and the time period of the sexual barbarity is more than 20 years.
No wonder they want him dead.
Saturday’s march was the second such event organized by Robinson, the first having drawn some 110,000 people last September. Official tallies say the turnout for Saturday’s event was significantly lower, “around 60,000,” which is an ominous sign. On the other hand, only a fool would trust anything “official” coming out of the UK these days. The turnout seemed pretty robust, pretty sizable, based on this aerial footage.
As for the event itself, CBS News seemed to be the only network of the Big Three that deemed it newsworthy. It reported:
Crowds carrying St. George’s Cross and Union flags marched through central London chanting “we want Starmer out” and “Christ is King.” Some wore red “Make England Great Again” hats, echoing President Trump’s Make America Great Again movement. …
Christian imagery was highly visible throughout the demonstration. Protesters carried large wooden crosses, waved crucifixes and some dressed as Knights Templar. Chris Wickland, who described himself as a priest from the Confessing Anglican Church, told CBS News he was there “to represent Christianity,” adding that “something is disappearing from our culture and from our nation … and that was Christianity.”
Those are encouraging signs, but they’re not enough. There were a handful of arrests, as there usually are at such massive events, but the message was peaceful: “If we don’t send a message in our next election,” warned Robinson, “if you don’t register to vote, if you don’t get involved, if you don’t become activists, we are going to lose our country forever.”
Robinson also sent a shout-out to Elon Musk, whose public support and virtual appearance at last year’s event was perhaps its highlight. “None of this would have happened if it wasn’t for one man,” said Robinson. “Thank you, Elon, on behalf of Great Britain.”
“Fight back or you die,” Musk told the crowd then, and that sentiment is no less relevant today.
None of this happened overnight, though. As the intrepid British journalist Melanie Phillips noted in her 2006 book *Londonistan*, the UK’s capital city, fresh off the 7/7 Tube bombings that murdered 52 Brits and wounded scores more, had already been “the European hub of Islamist extremism for more than a decade.” So you can imagine what London looks like these days.
Or perhaps you can’t. Perhaps your imagination has its limits. These days, London — once the world’s greatest city and without a close second — is majority-minority, and the most popular name for newborn children is Muhammad. By a mile.
As I’ve noted before, Europe is our DEW Line, and London is the site of the enemy’s greatest demographic victory yet. As their imams tell us in their unguarded moments, they’ll conquer us not with bombs and bullets but with the wombs of their women.
It shouldn’t bear repeating, so fundamental is the idea, but Western civilization and our Judeo-Christian values aren’t just nice to have. No, they’re a need-to-have. And they’re well worth defending against the barbarity of the Muslim world and the interference-running apologism of their enablers on the Left.
There’s a strain of self-loathing among many of our American brothers and sisters, and we have to continually drown out their message with one of pride and purpose. Otherwise, we get trampled underfoot. And we go the way of Once-Great Britain.
