The Patriot Post® · Florida Stands Its Ground
Most are familiar with the case of Trayvon Martin thanks to a major PR effort by the professional race hustlers. But while anti-gun politicos and their friends in the Leftmedia were busy exploiting the teen’s death, mostly ignored was the indictment of Marissa Alexander. Before being granted a new trial by an appeals court, she was sentenced to a ridiculous 20 years in prison for discharging a warning shot in her home after allegedly feeling threatened by her husband. In response, state lawmakers are advancing a bill that would exempt individuals like Alexander from Florida’s “10-20-Life” law in situations that prompt a warning shot. We’re all for it, as long as folks don’t follow the advice of Joe “Shotgun” Biden.
