Barack Obama and his slew of phonies routinely preach about the importance of income mobility and narrowing the income gap. The right prescription, they tell us, is to fully embrace Obamanomics. But consider this: Under Obama’s anemic economic recovery, the income gap has widened, and a study by University of California-Berkeley’s Emmanuel Saez reveals that “the top 1% captured 95% of the income gains in the first three years of the recovery.” He adds, “In sum, top 1% incomes are close to full recovery while bottom 99% incomes have hardly started to recover.” Clearly, the Left’s redistribution of the wealth scheme isn’t working, and Republican policies are not to blame for this growing gap. This rhetorical talking point is an emotional appeal to low-info constituencies who, ironically, aren’t making gains because of progressive policies that are resulting in government enslavement while subsequently strangling free enterprise.
