Ramadan is the Islamic holiday during which an increasing number of jihadi terrorists murder “infidels” with whatever means available — and they do so in high-profile venues to foment greater fear. Last weekend there was a London replay of an increasingly common slaughter scene, on the heels of the bombing two weeks ago in Manchester, and a similar attack three months ago in London. (Five other attacks have been thwarted.) In the most recent attack, three men drove a van into a crowd on London Bridge, and then jumped out with knives to stab more people, killing seven and wounding scores more. It wasn’t Catholic nuns or extremist Presbyterians; it was Islamists bent on establishing a worldwide caliphate and killing as many infidels as possible in the name of their “god.”

British Prime Minister Theresa May, facing an election this Thursday, minced no words. “Enough is enough,” she declared, insisting that there is “far too much tolerance for extremism in our country.” She insisted, not a minute too soon, “Things need to change,” and she identified by name the “evil ideology of Islamist extremism.”

Two days before the attack, London Mayor Sadiq Khan, a Muslim sharia apologist, protested Donald Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris “climate change” charade, claiming that global warming is “one of the biggest risks to humanity.” We challenge him to name a single London citizen who has been murdered by climate change — although given the Left’s “creative causation” claims, maybe he will come up with one.

After the attack, Khan announced, “Londoners will see an increased police presence today and over the course of the next few days. There is no reason to be alarmed by this.” Trump responded, “At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!’” Indeed, UK citizens should be alarmed at the increased police presence because it is a visceral indicator of an increasing terrorist threat. The U.S. has already witnessed some of these vehicular attacks and there will be more to come in popular tourist venues. That is unless and until political leaders are willing to truly combat this rabid ideology.
