Democrats concluded their doom-and-gloom convention last week, leaving an opening for Republicans to really sell an optimistic and forward-looking agenda with the theme “Honoring the Great American Story.” You know, “toxic positivity.”

While Republican delegates will convene in Charlotte to officially nominate the president, here’s a quick list of notable speakers who will speak by video from numerous locations:

Monday’s theme is “Land of Heroes,” and featured speakers include Senator Tim Scott and Congressmen Steve Scalise, and Jim Jordan. UN Ambassador Nikki Haley and RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel will also speak, as will Donald Trump Jr. One noteworthy slot goes to Georgia State Representative Vernon Jones, a black Democrat who insists the “bigotry” within his own party is “hurting African Americans.” Another goes to Mark and Patricia McCloskey, the St. Louis couple who are fighting ridiculous prosecution for defending their own home from the BLM mob.

Tuesday’s “Land of Promise” headliners include First Lady Melania Trump, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and Senator Rand Paul, along with two other Trump children, Eric and Tiffany. The grassroots attraction will be Nicholas Sandmann, the teenager who was defamed by the Leftmedia hate mob for the sin of wearing a MAGA hat while smiling.

Wednesday, for “Land of Opportunity,” Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen are the biggest names, followed by Senators Marsha Blackburn and Joni Ernst, South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, and Representatives Dan Crenshaw, Elise Stefanik, and Lee Zeldin.

Thursday’s theme is “Land of Greatness.” Clearly, the headliner of the week will be President Donald Trump, as he accepts his party’s nomination for a second term. But there are other big names on the list as well, including HUD Secretary Ben Carson, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Senator Tom Cotton, and Ivanka Trump. Don’t miss Franklin Graham or Carl and Marsha Mueller, the parents of Kayla Mueller, a young American captured and enslaved by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the self-proclaimed “caliph” of the Islamic State — the one terminated by a raid Trump authorized last fall.

Notably not on the list? President George W. Bush.

After last week’s DNC theme of darkness overtaking the country thanks to the evil Donald Trump, this week’s GOP convention provides the opportunity for Republicans to win voters with a message of hope and the American Spirit.
