The Patriot Post® · All Eyes on Georgia Senate Races
While President Donald Trump’s legal efforts to address widespread claims of voter fraud continue, all eyes have turned to Georgia, where run-off elections for the state’s two U.S. Senate seats will determine the Senate’s balance of power. And where missing ballots somehow just keep turning up.
Wins by Republican Senators David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler will give Republicans a 52-48 majority in the Senate and a firewall against a presumed Joe Biden administration’s radical left-wing agenda. Should the Republicans lose, it will result in a 50-50 split, giving Kamala Harris, as vice president and therefore president of the Senate, a tie-breaking vote. It’s Chuck Schumer’s path to tyranny.
Make no mistake, Democrats will do anything and everything to take these GOP-held seats, giving Team Biden-Harris two years of unobstructed power. They spent nearly $300 million to unseat Senators Susan Collins (ME), Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), and failed miserably. With these run-off elections, they smell blood in the water and want revenge.
That is evident by how Democrat Senate candidates Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock started off their run-off campaigns — with a Silicon Valley fundraiser via Zoom, expected to raise millions, followed by an even bigger mid-November fundraiser in California.
This is true to form for Ossoff, who raised nearly $3.5 million from California donors in the third quarter, more than twice the amount he raised from the Georgians he claims to want to represent. During Ossoff’s failed 2017 congressional campaign, an eye-popping 98% of his campaign cash over the final two months came from outside of Georgia. This same pattern is true of Warnock, with almost 80% of his campaign donations coming from out of state.
It makes one wonder why less than a quarter of their donations come from the people they claim to want to represent. When asked, the candidates’ campaigns refused to comment.
The answer may be that, despite their current efforts to paint themselves as moderates, both Ossoff and Warnock are disciples of the far Left.
Ossoff bills himself as a documentary filmmaker dedicated to exposing corruption, yet he repeatedly failed to disclose that he had taken money from a Communist Chinese media-conglomerate owner who vocally opposes the democracy movement in Hong Kong. As if that wasn’t bad enough, that same amended disclosure found Ossoff had been paid by the Qatari-based Al Jazeera news agency, which gained notoriety for airing Islamist terrorist propaganda.
Raphael Warnock is no better. He serves as pastor of Atlanta’s Ebenezer Baptist Church, where the great Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. once preached equality and racial color-blindness. Yet Warnock takes the opposite approach, stoking the fires of racial hatred and division while embracing socialism and Marxism.
Warnock has praised the teachings of Barack Obama mentor Reverend Jeremiah Wright, who infamously screamed “God d—n America!” and claimed America deserved the 9/11 attacks. Warnock is also a disciple of Dr. James Hal Cone, who Warnock called a “poignant and powerful voice” of high “spiritual magnitude.” Cone preaches Black Liberation theology, calling white Christians “satanic” and demanding the “destruction of everything white” in society.
Warnock has offered undisguised praise for both these purveyors of hatred. Worse, he himself has insisted that “nobody can serve God and the military,” he’s called police “thugs” and “gangsters,” and he demands that America must “repent for its worship of whiteness.”

Despite these glaring red flags (or because of them?), Democrats are doing everything possible, legal or illegal, to win these seats on January 5.
Former Democrat presidential candidate Andrew Yang recently encouraged progressive Democrats to move to Georgia for the sole purpose of voting in the Senate run-off, which is a felony. Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger warned would-be carpetbaggers that his office will prosecute anyone attempting to vote under false pretenses.
Raffensperger is also at the center of a controversy that could do tremendous damage to Republican efforts to unify for the run-offs. He signed onto a consent decree — settling a lawsuit brought by Stacy Abrams and the Georgia Democrats — that critics argue weakened absentee ballot verification rules in Georgia.
In a move that sent shock waves through the state’s Republican base, Senators Perdue and Loeffler openly condemned Secretary Raffensperger, saying that his management of the state’s election has been an “embarrassment” and demanding he resign.
It is worth noting, however, that the changes resulting from the consent decree were just the latest in the Georgia Democrats’ decade-long strategy to weaken election security and open elections up to widespread fraud.
President Trump has been extremely critical of Raffensperger for signing onto the consent decree, and Governor Brian Kemp for allowing it to happen. Raffensperger rejects the assertion that this weakened ballot verification, claiming this week in a radio interview that his office has actually strengthened verification protocols.
Regardless of one’s position on the wisdom of signing the consent decree, what is glaringly obvious is that such a fratricidal circular firing squad among Georgia’s GOP leadership and rank and file will only serve to aid the Democrats in their goal of flipping these Senate seats, which would be disastrous not only for Georgia but for the nation.
In fact, while President Trump’s relentless attacking style won him the adoration of his base, it undoubtedly cost him votes in Atlanta’s upscale northern suburbs, where Trump’s enormous policy successes were not enough to overcome voters’ distaste for his behavior. This was clear by the fact that Senator Perdue, a loyal Trump ally but with a more statesmanlike demeanor, outperformed President Trump in these counties.
Long story short, Democrats are coming to Georgia, loaded for bear, and Republicans had better unite immediately if they are to save those Senate seats, and the republic, from the radical progressive onslaught.
