Re: “Big Business Going Woke Over Voting Laws”
“Is this a surprise? Google (Alphabet) dominates mass media advertising trends. Corporations that don’t conform to Google will be deplatformed. You cannot sell if you cannot advertise. The entire methodology is to appease communist China. The potential market share in China eclipses any other, and corporations missing a beat in capturing their share of the Chinese market know they will lose. Thus, they do any and all to acquire these huge dollars. BLM exploits this vulnerability to achieve its socialist agenda. The BLM-corporate link is coincidental, not causal. Most important, it is NOT founded to promote any moral or ethical principle. It is founded upon MONEY (economic power) exclusively. Learn to speak Chinese.” —Missouri
“What is emerging is a new fascism in which corporate America is increasingly doing the bidding of Democrats, because CEOs have surmised that such a move is good for business. If I’m not mistaken, this was called National Socialism in the 1930s.” —Florida
Re: “What Really Makes the Wealthy Rich?”
“While I agree with the points in this piece, it misses the fundamental action that generates wealth: creating value. Manufacturers, service companies, IT firms, restaurants, Hollywood, and sports stars all create something that people gladly purchase with their money because they perceive the item or service to be worth more than that money ‘cost’ them. The wealthy are clever, tenacious, resourceful, and prescient to discover and fill a need. The wealthy should be applauded for creating items of value and used as inspiration if personal wealth is a goal. For if they didn’t, there would be nothing to buy; all of the money in the world would be worthless.” —Ohio
Re: “Biden Redefines ‘Bipartisan’ to Mean Partisan”
“I dispute the comparison to the spending of drunken sailors. At least the sailors pay for it out of their own pockets. What we have here is a bunch of spoiled brats in their second childhood spending money from other people’s grandchildren. They are truly ‘swindling futurity.’ At the current rate of spending, we’re going $6 million deeper in the hole every minute. We’ve already spent the revenue due to be collected for the next 10 years, and the so-called American Rescue Plan tacks on spending for another year’s worth beyond that. That’s insanely irresponsible.” —Minnesota
Re: “Wright’s Resistance Cost Him His Life”
“I agree with Nate Jackson that Daunte Wright’s death could have been avoided had he simply cooperated and followed the directives of police officers. What do the deaths of Michael Brown, George Floyd, and the man in Atlanta all have in common with Wright’s? The suspects did not comply and cooperate with police officers and they resisted arrest. I am a white, 82-year-old male, and I remember my father telling me as a young boy, ‘Never run from the police.’” —California
