Re: “Wright’s Resistance Cost Him His Life”
“Many people of ALL colors are getting pretty fed up with the absolutely criminal activities of a few after every confrontation with the police that goes bad. At some point these protesters/activists/BLM types will need to understand that, regardless of one’s skin color, if you resist the police and their lawful orders, things won’t go well for you. This becomes life-threatening when you have warrants for violent and/or armed bad acts already on your record (as in the latest case). ‘Justice’ via riots and/or intimidation in these cases serve only the criminal involved and those going forward!” —Maryland
Re: “The Real Gambit on the Anti-Asian Hate Crime Bill”
“Nothing like a hate crime bill to make a body of politicians feel so caring and smug. Martial arts training or a tool to make you equal to the person who would have his way with you is much more effective. Women of all races understand that and are purchasing those tools in record numbers. Congressional Democrats hate it because a populace with tools is much more difficult to bend to their will.” —Ohio
“What I want to know is this: When is Congress going to get around to passing a ‘love crimes’ bill? Or an ‘indifferent crimes’ bill? Or a ‘moderately irritated crimes’ bill? I have heard it mentioned on quite a few crime drama programs that you cannot know what is really in a person’s mind when they commit a crime, so the law judges crimes on facts and knowable circumstances instead of speculations about what a perpetrator is ‘thinking.’ (Minus those who are clinically mentally ill, which involves evidence of a sort.) I am continually amazed at just how stupid most of our elected employees are.” —Florida
Re: “Thursday Executive News Summary”
“Madame Vice President Kamala Harris will go to Guatemala and Mexico to obtain information and determine the causes of record-high immigration to the United States. She will then disclose that she has found poverty and poor economic conditions to be the causes of uncontrollable immigration, and therefore Donald Trump’s fault. She will then propose, and actively press, for major infusions of dollars into those nations, thereby reducing the need for Guatemalans and Mexicans to emigrate to this country.” —Missouri
Re: “Thursday Short Cuts”
Non compos mentis: “The murder of #DaunteWright is rooted in white supremacy and results from the intentional criminalization of Black and Brown communities.” —Ben & Jerry's
“Spoken from not only one of the whitest state in the U.S. but also from 90% white, 1.25% black South Burlington, Vermont. If B&J is so concerned about the black and brown communities then it can prove it by moving its corporate headquarters and manufacturing facilities to one of the many long-term Democrat-controlled cities.” —Arkansas
