Re: “Memorial Day — An Orphan’s Medal of Honor”
“I was there the day Cliff was killed. Then a sergeant, I was shot in the leg shortly before he died. He was a super nice man. There were two Medals of Honor awarded that day. The other recipient was Sgt. Joe Hooper. Shortly before Cliff was killed, I looked over my right shoulder and saw Hooper motion me forward. As I stepped into the clearing, I was immediately knocked down by an AK round hitting my left thigh. I crawled to the rear and the battle raged on. That morning, the 1st Platoon started out with 33 men. By that evening, they had medevacked 18 of us out.” —Missouri
Re: “Biden’s ATF Nominee Wants to Ban AR-15s”
“Firearms with externally visible detachable magazines — the very type Mr. Chipman wants to ban — are arguably safer in storage and handling in non-shooting circumstances than others, since such a weapon can have at most one round present when the magazine is removed. (Of course, it is common sense to treat every firearm as if it is loaded given the possible consequences of wrongly assuming otherwise.) The Senate’s first priority on the firearms issue should be to ban assault weapons such as Mr. Chipman from the ATF. Gun-grabbers are a threat to the security of free states.” —Minnesota
“Assault weapon? A rock can be an assault weapon if it is used deliberately to bring harm to someone. A lamp can be an assault weapon if used as a baseball bat. Words do have meaning, but to use them in the way the left loves to do has a tendency to diminish or enhance the meaning of the word. All guns are potentially assault weapons just as anything that is used to bring harm to another is potentially an assault weapon. It is not the weapon that is at fault when someone is assaulted. It is the wielder of that weapon. When we remember that little piece of important information, we make a start on using reason in honoring and preserving the Second Amendment.” —California
Re: “The Erasure of Women”
“Makes perfect sense to me in this ‘progressive’ world. You marginalize 99.99% of women to empower 0.01% of trans-women. The stupidity is having women’s marches when there is ‘no such thing’ as a woman. They don’t have this problem in communist China. This is exported to the U.S. by the CCP to keep us in disarray. It is one of many ideas the CCP has woven into the fabric of America to which useful idiots, having been enlightened out of their intellect, are more than happy to apply. Again, when the takeover occurs, it’s the useful idiot that’s the first to be punished.” —Nevada
Re: “In Brief: Remember the 10th Amendment”
“I believe that the only thing that will halt the present communist/socialist takeover by the federal government is for the individual states to enforce their states’ rights. The federal government has no business making laws regarding firearms, voting, marriage, driver’s licenses, etc. Such laws already enacted by the federal government should be declared unconstitutional, such as same-sex marriage, CDL licensing, 18-year-olds voting, etc.” —Pennsylvania
