Re: “The Afghanistan Disaster — Trump or Biden?

“I was a USAF K-9 Security Specialist (E-8) in Saigon assigned to the O.S.I. from January 1968 until March 1973. Ninety-five percent of what I saw and heard still is classified. Two of my nephews left body parts in Afghanistan. I feel personally betrayed by the U.S. government and am utterly ashamed and infuriated at some of my fellow citizens for failing to learn from history.” —Ohio

Re: “Biden’s Afghanistan Surrender: The Day America Died

“As a Marine vet, I am not ashamed of my country. I am ashamed of our leadership. Watching that poor excuse for a president just now on TV, I thought, What is so sad is the fact that he will get away with it! Every word he spoke was from a teleprompter. The media and his handlers have him covered! Three hundred of our people left over there in that hellhole is a national disgrace!” —Georgia

Re: “Biden’s AFG Retreat Complete — The War Is NOT Over

“This will never be over. No man left behind is a creed that doesn’t just apply to the military. Our Christian walk calls us to save as many as we can too. My husband is a full-blooded Comanche and gets eerily quiet when he considers what this administration has done to his country in just a few months. His tribe fought and bled and died defending their beloved land and dear ones. All American Patriots must share utter outrage at this intentional travesty. Bumblin’ Joe only takes orders. Obama’s dirty fingerprints are all over this one.” —Oklahoma

Re: “Woke American Women, Oppressed Afghan Women

“It may well be that the women in America’s service at the Kabul airport were the specific targets of the bombing. The Taliban could not abide their visible example of what women can be without being oppressed. The men who dictate Taliban theology mistake the differences God made between men and women for male superiority. If God created men to lead and women to follow, know this: A leader is nothing without followers whom he serves. Therefore, followers are just as important as leaders, and good followers ought to be as highly regarded as good leaders. But the Taliban fear the influence of women, and so force them to be covered up, as if these creations of God are not worthy to be seen. Real men don’t make women wear burkhas.” —Minnesota

Re: “In Brief: Biden in Excuse Mode

“Watch the boastful demented fraud speak of the ‘successful’ retreat from Afghanistan when he teleprompts from ground zero on the 11th. Pray that the merciless terror armies are restrained. Not going to be a pretty future in the days ahead.” —Arizona

Re: “Biden Defends His Well-Planned Afghanistan Disaster

“While not rejecting any of the observations denigrating our president and his upper echelon advisers, I feel we are missing a very important component of this surrender: the great job done in a short amount of time by our military. Compressed time frame; restricted resources; lack of personnel; enemy literally at the gates; and feckless upper commanders directing a gargantuan hated effort — nonetheless obeying orders, adapting, and overcoming. Good job USA military men and women who got so many out so quickly!” —Utah

Re: “Monday Short Cuts

“It is very interesting to see the media now criticizing Joe Biden since they themselves have a big share in the blame. If not for their poor reporting during the last 12 years and their attacks on Donald Trump, bumbling Joe Biden may not have been elected to office. Stand up, MSM, and take your share of the blame. In the future, report the news; don’t make up stories to suit your agenda. Freedom of the press is one of the first freedoms to be squashed by socialist and communist governments. If the country continues in the current direction, you may be the first to go, especially since you won’t be needed anymore — the state will tell you what to print.” —Utah

Re: “Iran and North Korea Press Forward on Nukes

“Just as serious is the lack of participation of American citizens in upholding our constitutional responsibilities. How many have participated in local elections? Vetting candidates? Calling our supposed ‘leaders’? How many have taken time to go to state assemblies? How many have gone after the Democrats’ ‘infrastructure’ obscenity? Have you called or emailed these thieves? Gone after those who’ve destroyed our borders? Americans: If your name is not on our enemy’s watch list, maybe even two or three of them, why not? If we lose our America, we lose our rights, freedoms, abilities — everything. And then what will it all matter?” —Colorado

Re: “The FBI Is a Disgrace

“The FBI has also ignored eyewitness accounts of BLM and antifa members traveling from one state to another to foment what can only be called riot, insurrection, and sedition. Surely these activities violate one or more federal criminal statutes the agency is charge with enforcing. Since Mr. Obama’s merry band of leftists took control of the White House in 2009, the Department of Justice has been abolished and replaced with the Department of Political Protection, by executive action. It would be instructive to know how many agents have recognized the corruption and protested, and how many of them were either pushed out or assigned to counterintelligence work in a back desert of Cameroon with no cell phone service.” —Minnesota

Re: “What’s the Value of Natural COVID Immunity?

“The people who go by the generic term of ‘public health officials’ at the outset of the pandemic had almost unprecedented credibility. They squandered it by allowing themselves to be politicized, to the point where their restrictions are met with resistance and ridicule. (I follow their advice only when my own logic trumps my initial incredulity.) Too bad for them, but really too bad for all of us who might really need for everyone to heed what they say if they accidentally give sound advice.” —Illinois
