“I still remember that day. I was on site listening to a local radio station. The interruption to the program came at a huge surprise. All work stopped and the only sound audible was the press release from that local station. The work had to resume but the rest of that day was a sombre one. Much of the work went on in silence and deep thought. I remember reflecting back on my history lessons about December 7 at Pearl Harbor. I wasn’t there, but I feel that day the same as I felt on 9/11 — a day of sorrow and anger. We will never forget 9/11.” —Arkansas

“I heard the speech and like you I didn’t like the reference he made to ‘violence that gathers within.' Was he talking about January 6 because he and his family hate President Trump so much, or was he talking about antifa and BLM because he loves our country, or was he talking about all of it? My guess is he was intentionally unclear so as to leave himself room to maneuver. Perhaps sometime soon he’ll call out the groups within that actually want to destroy America and our wonderful way of life; the ones that do 'defile national symbols’ and monuments and courthouses and police stations and our history. It would certainly help restore how we felt about him in the days and months immediately following 9/11.” —New Jersey

“There is only one national anthem, and that is ‘The Star Spangled Banner.’ All the other patriotic songs, while beautiful and stirring, are merely music. It is ‘The Star Spangled Banner’ that stirs the hearts and souls of American citizens and brings tears to the eyes of patriots all over the country. It is an insult to insinuate that anything else is needed or wanted. We are all Americans here. This is our song.” —California

“Natural immunity is the cure the Left avoids. They push vaccines, masks, and social distancing while censoring and quashing the use of therapeutics for early treatment. This push admittedly cuts contagion but also hinders our achieving natural immunity and delays herd immunity, extending the COVID crisis with endless shots, medical impositions, and government control.” —Illinois

“Don’t these liberal fools see the fool’s dichotomy they are promoting? If the vaccine protects the people who are vaccinated as they claim, then why do they need to be protected from the unvaccinated? For the record, both my wife and I got vaccinated, not because we are afraid of COVID — we’re not, because we maintain strong immune systems — but because we were worried that the senile fool in the White House would issue EOs preventing unvaccinated citizens from traveling. He hasn’t done that for illegal aliens, but that’s a whole different story.” —Florida

“In an attempt to panic Americans anew, every day the news reports meganumbers of new COVID cases. So what? How many are actually dying from it? The recovery rate is 99.97%, so let it run. Let the masses get the virus, get over it, and go on with their lives. Only ensure that the elderly and otherwise sickly take precautions. We would have herd immunity in a very short time.” —Pennsylvania

“Great article! And so true. Our family had to fight our local school board to provide our son the education he was entitled to. We went as far as to get the state board involved. We were on a mission! We kept all his work, notes from the teachers, etc., and provided them to the state board. The school was found negligent and had to provide the education he was entitled to. The end result was good for our son. It was astounding we had to go to such lengths for the school to perform its duty. Stand for our children! They need someone to advocate for them. We experienced firsthand that some teachers (not all) have a ‘godlike’ complex and can do what they want to whomever they want if you allow them.” —Ohio

“Too many parents and teachers push college as ‘necessary’ for getting a good job while none ever defines ‘good job.’ Literally millions of painters, plasterers, truck drivers, electricians, cooks, bakers, and street pavers, to name just few occupations that don’t require a degree of any kind or level, are happy with their lives, pay their bills (unlike our federal government), and relax with friends, all while enjoying a feeling of accomplishment. Who needs any kind of degree for that, especially when a degree requires so much time be wasted in classes totally unrelated to the degree?” —Michigan

“Aside from a profession such as medicine, law, engineering, physics, chemistry, etc., college is a waste time and money as you pointed out. I am a retired engineer and on construction projects dealt with millwrights, electricians, steam fitters, masons, iron workers, etc. I found these people to be highly competent in their field but also they understand specifications and building codes.” —Wyoming

“Not only has the black community always claimed they’re not racist, they also claim that they CANNOT be racist. And yet now, according to Kendi, the only way to beat racism is to BE racist. The whole problem with that kind of attitude is the same as someone accused of a crime. The guilty and the innocent will say the same thing: ‘I’m not guilty.’ It’s hard to know which one is telling the truth.” —Ohio

“If we are serious about the climate and clean energy, we had best get serious about nuclear energy. While individually these turbines occupy little ground, together they occupy and disrupt considerable acreage. Do your homework — wind and solar are not going to carry their own water. We have learned to burn our coal cleanly, removing much of the harmful effects. Our gas-powered plants can be improved with research. We are wasting time and resources on wind energy and commercial solar.” —Illinois
