The Patriot Post® · Pelosi Tells Media They're Dropping the Ball

Americans don’t know much about what’s in the Democrats’ $3.5 trillion socialist spending bill. A reporter recently asked House Speaker Nancy Pelosi if she thought she needed “to do a better job at messaging, and going forward, how do you sell this?” Pelosi retorted, “Well, I think you all could do a better job of selling it, to be very frank with you.”

In other words, Pelosi says it is the media that is failing to do its “job” and promote the Democrats’ political agenda. The reason for our existence beginning 25 years ago is something we routinely note: Much of the MSM simply serves as the propaganda arm of the Democrat Party. Pelosi just admitted that reality, albeit by expressing her disappointment at its insufficiency.

And yet the MSM has gone out of its way to cover for Biden. That was true in the lead-up to the election, with the most glaring example being the spiking of the Hunter Biden laptop bombshell about Biden family corruption that included the “big guy” himself. After the media helped Biden win, “journalists” have continued to protect him by going along with his coached and directed press conferences. They even circle the wagons with the “fact-checkers,” who run interference for things like when it’s revealed that Biden received his vaccine booster on a staged set.

While Pelosi’s focus was on the ongoing struggle to get all Democrats on board with their $3.5 trillion spending bill, her response also reveals a broader reality. Biden’s polling numbers have been in a nosedive since midsummer. While the most obvious reason for this can be attributed to Americans reacting against Biden’s disastrous policy decisions, Pelosi sees it as the failure of the MSM to “sell” the Democrats’ agenda.

More so than any administration in recent history, Biden’s presidency is heavily reliant on media production — everything from the aforementioned White House studio set to Kamala Harris’s spacey NASA videos in which child actors fill in as ordinary children. Clearly, there’s a concerted effort to rehab Americans’ unfavorable views of both Harris and Biden. The Biden administration is invested in trying to pass off the fake as authentic, and the media is happy to go along.

And why wouldn’t they? The more Americans are made aware of the genuine situation behind Biden’s loudly declared “unity” pledge of moderation, which was simply cover for implementing the most radical leftist agenda in presidential history, the more they are souring on him. And now even a sympathetic MSM is having trouble hiding just how bad things are. Putting lipstick on a pig doesn’t mean it’s not a pig.
