On Monday, Barack Obama spoke at the UN climate summit, now in its second week in Glasgow, Scotland, and in doing so he showed that his infamous messiah complex is as strong as ever. We were reminded of the moment back in 2008 when, upon securing the Democrat presidential nomination, Obama pompously declared that future generations would realize “this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal.”

In reality, it was the moment when America, a nation with the distinct and proud history of spreading the ideal of Liberty to the world, was a few months away from being saddled with the anti-American lecturer-in-chief. For eight long years, America would have to endure the self-righteous, condescending denunciations of a narcissist who could find few positive statements to make about the nation that had elected him president.

Well, after Obama flew into Glasgow on a private jet from Washington, DC, he quickly got into his lecture by stoking the anger of youthful ignorance. “You are right to be frustrated,” he opined. “Folks in my generation have not done enough to deal with a potentially cataclysmic problem that you now stand to inherit.”

Later in the day, Obama further stoked this Greta Thunberg-type irrational youth anger. “I want you to stay angry. I want you to stay frustrated,” he told them. “Channel that anger, harness that frustration, keep pushing harder and harder for more because that’s what required to meet this challenge.”

Obama was also quick to paint the target for this anger squarely on the backs of Republicans. He blasted Donald Trump for engaging in the same type of leading via executive order that he made a staple of his own presidency. “Some of our progress stalled when my successor decided to unilaterally pull out of the Paris Agreement in his first year in office,” Obama lamented. Yes, and Obama unilaterally joined that agreement, dodging Senate approval.

Even as he continued to blast the U.S. for its supposed lack of aggressive action on climate change, Obama sought to excuse himself and Joe Biden from any culpability, instead blaming those dastardly Republicans. He complained, “Both of us have been constrained in large part by the fact that one of our two major parties has decided not only to sit on the sidelines, but express active hostility towards climate science, and make climate change a partisan issue.”

On the contrary, it is the green-on-the-outside, red-on-the-inside ecofascists who’ve made basic conservation a political power struggle.

David Harsanyi astutely observes the truth: “When first joining the Paris agreement, Obama noted that global warming ‘does not pause for partisan gridlock.’ Or, in other words, the former president offered one of his numerous rationalizations for a historic slew of executive abuses. Obama didn’t merely ignore the limitations of his office, he popularized and normalized the notion that executive overreach was acceptable if the president claimed there was moral imperative to act. And Obama didn’t simply pretend that every issue was an existential threat — now a mainstay of Democratic Party politics — he openly bragged about working around the lawmaking branch of government that refused to accede to his demands. He continues to make that destructive argument on foreign soil.”

It is indeed rich that Obama charges Republicans with “hostility towards climate science” and warns Florida residents of rising sea levels when he has purchased a $15 million oceanfront mansion on Martha’s Vineyard and is currently building another seaside vacation mansion in Hawaii on the site of the original “Magnum P.I.” TV show mansion.

Listeners can either believe in his condescending climate alarmism or witness what he really believes about climate change by seeing where he spends his money.
