Re: “The State Smashes the Freedom Convoy

“Justin Trudeau is more concerned with maintaining control than he is in leading his country. Using horses to trample protesters and then not allowing anyone to assist them should wake up everyone. How soon will our ‘dear leader’ think he can get away with doing the same thing to American citizens?” —Kansas

“Interesting. There was a huge protest in Canada by truckers demonstrating against mandates. People were upset. But as I reflect upon the past few weeks, I don’t think I ever heard about a police station set on fire, a retail store looted, a person killed, or a business torched. No conclusion, just an honest overview of one protest versus another recent one.” —Illinois

Re: “The End of the Grim Winter Olympics Spectacle

“The revolving sites of the Olympics should cease. Many poor countries spend money they don’t have to erect facilities that merely rot with time. Brazil is a good example. I suggest that permanent Olympic sites be chosen (example: Summer Games in Greece, Winter Games in Switzerland). Participating countries should contribute to the development and maintenance of such sites based on their financial ability. The Olympic Committee should be an alternating one with the participating countries sending a single delegate to a general meeting. The purpose of such meetings is to elect a semi-permanent Olympic Committee for each of the seasonal games.” —Florida

Re: “Biden DOJ Sues Missouri on Gun Rights Law

“Albert Camus said it a long time ago, and it still rings true: ‘The welfare of humanity is always the alibi of tyrants.’ And, of course, our beloved attorney general forgets just a small detail: The Preamble to the Constitution ends with ‘do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.’ Go and look up, in any dictionary or even Google, the definitions of the words ‘ordain’ and ‘establish.’ The language is very clear. The amendments are not suggestions; they are law! Should Merrick Garland violate them, he could be — should be — indicted, tried, and imprisoned for violating federal law.” —Missouri

Re: “Unwed Mothers and Medicaid Babies

“When you have the Kardashians and other ‘celebrity’ types having one baby after another with their current boyfriends, why is it such a surprise that the number of out-of-wedlock babies is on the rise? Furthermore, so many of these babies are nothing more than a government paycheck to the mothers. If there was a way to make the fathers of these children pay for their support, that would possibly put a damper on irresponsible sex on the part of both the man and the woman.” —Utah

“The root cause of almost all of our social problems is the fatherless home. Fifty years of the Democrats’ fathers-not-welcome system have destroyed the black family and created monumental poverty, hunger, school disruption and dropouts, drug use, street crime, and overflowing prisons. Nothing is going to change until the nuclear family is firmly reinstated in our culture.” —Pennsylvania

Re: “Biden’s Big Putin Policy Fail

“Germany is now calling for the shutdown of Nord Stream 2. Thanks to Merkel shutting down coal and nuclear plants in Germany, energy costs including heating have gone through the roof and the people have to decide whether to eat or freeze. That’s what wind and solar give you. It’s undependable and very expensive.” —Minnesota

Re: “There Is Nothing ‘Green’ About Ethanol

“I have been using non-ethanol fuel in all my lawn equipment for about 15 years. Yes, it does cost a little more, but my equipment — lawn mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, etc. — run smoother, start on the first pull, do not produce smoke, and lasts a lot longer. The fuel is readily available at big-box home centers. I’m surprised more people don’t use it.” —Indiana
