The Patriot Post® · Texas Case Illustrates Trouble With 'Transgender' Ideology
Child abuse is real, but it also can be covered up as “compassion” when truth is jettisoned and replaced with a commitment to an ideology that eschews truth. Case in point is the so-called “transgender” culture war that has been raging across the nation the last few years. Proponents of “transgenderism,” part of the larger cult promoting sexual deviancy that we’ve termed the Rainbow Mafia, insist — contrary to scientific fact and the long history of humanity — that gender identity is merely and solely a social construct with no real connection to human biology. Based upon this false premise, these “transgender” crusaders not only demand that language rules be changed to accommodate this fantasy but that laws be passed to provide special accommodation for these gender-dysphoric individuals.
When the public first began objecting to the rise of the “transgender” crusaders, it was in response to the push for schools to affirm students’ “gender identity” rather than their biological sex. Along with bathrooms and locker rooms being targets came the pronoun police. One can hardly read a news story from a mainstream media outlet without becoming thoroughly confused as to the sex of the “transgender” subject. That’s how successful the Rainbow Mafia has been in pushing the acceptance of its ideology.
Well, like a cancer, any society-destroying movement is not content to simply target one segment of culture. It metastasizes and spreads widely across the whole of society. And, of course, the most vulnerable targets are the favored ones, which is why “transgender” crusaders have been targeting children — those most susceptible to being influenced by false “sexual identity” poison.
For these social justice warriors, it’s not enough for the public at large to simply tolerate the personal proclivities of gender-bending individuals. The Rainbow Mafia insists that failure to fully and unquestioningly embrace the professed “gender identity” of people caught up in gender dysphoria is to engage in bigotry, and supposedly even violence. Of course, that too requires a redefinition of the terms “bigotry” and “violence.”
The Democrat Party has married itself to the Rainbow Mafia and its twisted cause. In fact, in his State of the Union Address, Joe Biden declared: “And for our LGBTQ+ Americans, let’s finally get the bipartisan Equality Act to my desk. The onslaught of state laws targeting transgender Americans and their families is wrong. As I said last year, especially to our younger transgender Americans, I will always have your back as your president, so you can be yourself and reach your God-given potential.”
Talk about twisting the entire understanding of reality. Biden, who claims to be a very committed Catholic, posits the exact opposite view regarding human sexuality laid out and espoused in the Bible, Christianity throughout history, and the doctrines of his own church tradition. Worse, Biden is suggesting that God didn’t know what He was doing when He created each individual human with the biological sex He gave them. One of the greatest affronts of the “transgender” crusade to biblical Christianity is the assertion that individuals, not their Creator, determine their sexuality. Here we have Biden doing just that, while at the same time invoking God’s blessing.
The whole reason Jesus, the Son of God, came into the world was to save people from their sins, to save people from their bondage to their fallen evil desires. Jesus didn’t come to affirm people’s fallen evil desires as “good.” Rather, it is because these evil desires destroy people and condemn them to an eternity of Hell that He came to save them.
Biden was also tacitly referencing recent efforts by states like Texas, which is seeking to protect children from abuse via Governor Greg Abbott’s directive to prosecute parents who help “transition” their underage children with puberty blockers or “sex-change” procedures.
There’s abounding irony here. On the one hand, the Rainbow Mafia erupts with great consternation when a parent takes a child struggling with sexual identity issues to see a counselor who would challenge the legitimacy of such feelings, smearing it as oppressive “conversion therapy.” On the other hand, the Rainbow Mafia celebrates a child embracing a gender-bending identity for seeing a counselor who would affirm such feelings all the way up to and including permanent physiologically altering hormone therapy and even “sex-reassignment” surgery.
In Texas’s case, the ACLU has sided with the Rainbow Mafia by completely accepting the flawed premise that “transgender” is a real thing and not a self-defined identity based wholly upon someone’s inner feelings and not objective biological reality. As ACLU lawyer Chase Strangio states: “I think this is going to be a long uphill battle in the courts that are not known to be fluent in the experiences of transgender people. That said, I would like to think this is a bridge way, way too far.” Late yesterday, a judge temporarily blocked Texas.
If a society cannot or rather refuses to objectively define and accept the basic biologically reality of male and female, recognizing the obvious physical distinctions between women and men, then that society is doomed for eventual self-destruction.
