Re: “Why Is the Left So Afraid of Nuclear Power?”
“I was a ‘Nuke’ in the Navy for 13 year and was qualified on four different reactor plants. When I first went into Navy training, I had no idea what I was getting into — how it produced power or how it moved a ship. When I finished training, I realized my job in the Navy was a very simple job: Make a Rock Hot. A nuclear power plant, to make electricity, is almost identical to a coal- or gas-powered plant. The reactor heats up to a high temperature and makes steam that causes turbine generators to spin and generate electricity. When the energy in the steam is consumed, it returns back as water to be turned back into steam. For all the safety and complexity built into a reactor, it doesn’t get more simple than that.” —Illinois
Re: “Yes, Leftists Are More Insane Than They Used to Be”
“If anything, the GOP itself strayed to the left and away from the core founding principles. There has been a gradual move back, so yes, many have become more conservative, and that’s certainly a good thing. There’s also a limit as to how far they can go, and that’s where the Constitution and the Bill of Rights come in. The Left, however, has no such limits; it trashed the founding documents back in FDR’s day. To leftists, anything goes.” —Washington
“I agree with the image. The conservatives did not move much. If at all, they moved a bit to the left. For one thing, on gay marriage, although they don’t bless it, they have accepted it with a ‘God will be the ultimate judge’ attitude. The center definitely moved left. On the other hand, leftists seem to still be moving left. In a short while, the CCP won’t want them. They take every wacko idea and turn it into a cause célèbre. They tell people who work two manual labor jobs to survive and can’t afford another dollar per gallon of gas to fix that problem by buying an EV at $50K with their 580 credit scores. And they tell these people that getting an education is a form of white supremacy. No, it’s a form of counting change.” —Nevada
Re: “Amazon’s Leftists Can’t Stomach Gender Dissent”
“Yes, it is good news if the Left is losing the argument against free speech. Speaking of arguments and of free speech, I’m reminded of a strongly issued claim of support for free speech from the ‘smartest woman in America,’ none other than uber-leftist Hillary Clinton when she exclaimed: ‘I’m sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and disagree with this administration, somehow you’re not patriotic. We need to stand up and say we’re Americans, and we have the right to debate and disagree with any administration.’ We certainly must wonder whether Hillary supports American parents’ right to debate and disagree with any school board that wants to sexualize children and teach them that gender dysphoria is a normal lifestyle choice.” —Illinois
Re: “Unprecedented Leak Indicates SCOTUS Will Overturn Roe”
“If our Constitution fails to defend the explicit rights in the Declaration of Independence, we can expect only rights enforced by the capricious whims of mercurial fads manipulated by leaders lusting for power. Roe preserved the right to privacy by forfeiting the right to life. It’s legal reasoning fails logic, precedent, and ethics. It permits murder as long as it’s performed under the assumption of privacy. The justification for the right to life is explicit: self-evident, endowed by our Creator equally to all, and unalienable. The right to life is NOT justified by birth, viability, or conception, nor is it subject to privacy or popular opinion. Pro-choice rests on victims’ bones. The Declaration of Independence supports the right to life.” —Missouri
Re: “In Brief: Kids Are Incapable of Making Irreversible Medical Decisions”
“Science has proved that the frontal lobe of the brain, which controls reasoning, logic, and the ability to foresee consequences, is not fully developed until age 21 or later. This is why minors are not allowed to smoke, drink, own a firearm, get their ears pieced, etc. Yet the Left would let these same children make life-altering decisions about not only gender change but also abortion. Go figure.” —Pennsylvania
Re: “NRA Fratricidal Fire Hits Second Amendment Hard”
“I fully agree with LTC Allen West. LaPierre needs to go. He draws a million-dollar salary then spends NRA funds like a drunken sailor.” —Colorado
