The Patriot Post® · It's Open Season on Joe Biden
Ya hate to see it.
Just hate to see Joe Biden’s polling numbers continue to crater. Hate to see him make a fool of himself every time he goes off script. Hate to hear reports of him lashing out at staff for correcting his many mistakes. Hate to read about the first lady imploring her man’s handlers to “let Biden be Biden.” Indeed, we hate to even ponder another 32 months of this sinfully delicious clown show.
And we hate to say we told ‘em so, but, well, we told 'em so.
We weren’t alone, of course, but we began warning those (ahem) 81 million Biden voters nearly two years ago, when we wrote the following:
The Democrats’ plan is no secret: They’re going to keep their guy locked in his basement while they stir up racial strife, talk down the economy, and blame Trump for a Chinese pandemic. Doing so, they hope, will convince enough voters to opt for change — any change — and allow them to drag Biden’s cognitive corpse across the finish line on November 3.
That’s just what they did, and the fully complicit Leftmedia is only now coming to grips with it. “The legacy media have finally started publishing palace-intrigue pieces about the flailing Biden White House,” writes right-thinking columnist Grace Curley. “It is about damn time. After four years of hearing about the supposed chaos that permeated the Trump administration … the slobbering [Biden] puff pieces were comical.”
And now, even in those Democrat-oversampled polls, ol’ Scranton Joe’s numbers are worse than Donald Trump’s.
If there’s one thing the mainstream media can’t stand, it’s a lefty loser, and Joe Biden has that skunk spray all about him. They’ve been loyal bootlickers to this point, but they’ve painted themselves into a corner, just like they did with Junior’s laptop. Here’s the normally friendly Politico, for example:
President Joe Biden and his aides have grown increasingly frustrated by their inability to turn the tide against a cascade of challenges threatening to overwhelm the administration.
Soaring global inflation. Rising fuel prices. Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. A Supreme Court poised to take away a constitutional right. A potentially resurgent pandemic. A Congress too deadlocked to tackle sweeping gun safety legislation even amid an onslaught of mass shootings.
In crisis after crisis, the White House has found itself either limited or helpless in its efforts to combat the forces pummeling them. Morale inside 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is plummeting amid growing fears that the parallels to Jimmy Carter, another first-term Democrat plagued by soaring prices and a foreign policy morass, will stick.
Jimmy Carter comparisons are never a good thing. Nor is it a good thing when your new press secretary is a deep downgrade from your previous one, and Karine Jean-Pierre is certainly that. She has “frequently stumbled since taking over the podium last month when Jen Psaki left the administration,” Fox News reports. “Jean-Pierre has also developed a reputation for reading scripted answers from her notebook that conflict with Biden’s statements. Many reporters have already grown frustrated with Jean-Pierre, and NBC News reporter Kelly O'Donnell essentially told the press secretary how to do her job during a heated exchange last week on who briefed Biden on the baby formula crisis.”
How bad has it gotten for Team Brandon? So bad that the Washington Examiner has begun counting the cleanups. Remember when he spoke too soon about schools reopening? When he said the vaccine would keep you from getting COVID? When he said al-Qaida had been eliminated from Afghanistan, and all was well at Kabul airport while refugees were plummeting from the wheel wells of our departing planes? When he said that we’d defend Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan just as if they were NATO countries? When he gave Vladimir Putin the green light for “a minor incursion” into Ukraine, then called him “a war criminal” and said he couldn’t remain in power? Just last week, he proposed banning “high caliber” 9mm handguns, the most popular self-defense firearm in America.
If you’re keeping score at home, Joe Biden is at 13 major gaffes so far. That’s a baker’s dozen cleanups on Aisle 46, and we’re barely 16 months into his term.
We’d best buckle up.
