Re: “Joe Biden’s Great Student Loan Heist

The Democrats have this great student loan scam timed to start exactly at the time of the November elections. If the Republicans had any backbone (which they rarely have), they would get a judge to place an injunction on this illegal farce. —Pennsylvania

Re: “Team Biden’s Phony Accusations and Claims About Student Loans

If Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness doesn’t galvanize the silent majority’s rebuttal and rejection in the coming midterm elections, will anything? The U.S. electorate must send a strong, clear message that they have had enough of Biden’s failed and foolhardy presidential leadership by electing an overwhelming Republican majority in both the House and Senate. The Democrat agenda to fundamentally transform the U.S. must be stopped. November 2022 could very well be America’s last opportunity to end the increasingly debilitating harm being done to our nation by Democrat policy madness. —Florida

Intriguing to consider how this student loan forgiveness program jeopardizes national security. Our military services offer scholarships and student loan payments for qualified recruits. This incentivized many who could not otherwise afford college. Combined with diversity, inclusion, equity training, LGBTQ-favorable policies, etc., no wonder military units are full of empty billets. And no wonder our enemies are emboldened. —Missouri

Re: “California’s Ill-Conceived EV ‘Leadership’

Our Prius operates via a gasoline engine that feeds electricity to a separate electric motor driveline. Our ‘38 Chevrolet coupe and '67 Chevy pickup truck, however, both require gasoline to fuel their engines. What is the outlook for existing gas-powered vehicles? Will fuel be readily available? Will there be enough competition between the gasoline and diesel fuel providers to keep inflation at bay? —Arizona

Power in the Bankrupt State gets shut off during times of high fire danger, making it difficult to recharge an EV. I expect car dealerships around the nation will be going bankrupt since only a tiny percentage of the population will be able to afford a new electric vehicle. Repair shops, however, will be doing a land office business fixing the old gas guzzlers. Eventually our highways will look much like Cuba with old cars predominating. Even stranger is that the unproven assertion that CO2 causes global warming is now being used as a means of raising taxes on the consumer. If the nation moved to EVs, much of that boon to politicians would disappear. —Washington

The most modern and sophisticated grid is worthless without power plants to supply it, and that will be the case for California and other blue states. Those electric cars won’t be CO2-free because well over half of the power for them will come from fossil fuels, and the building of the EVs has a huge environmental cost including CO2 production and an exponential growth in mining. —Washington

The rich and shameless and political powerful will have more than enough electricity to run all the air-conditioning they want and charge all of their EVs. It’s the rest of the people, those paying for all of this, who will be dying the slow, painful death of leftist government. —Kansas

Re: “Will Republicans Let Abortion Endanger Their Election Chances?

The Dems have given us riots, high gas prices, inflation, the Afghan withdrawal, shortages of baby formula, and men in women’s restrooms and sports. The Dems have turned our media, government agencies, and Big Tech into political sycophants. They sleep with spies, buy stocks with insider knowledge, and don’t pay taxes. They have done everything they told the voters Trump would have done if elected the second time. Yet women seem to want a weak, woke military, unconstitutional EOs like student loan forgiveness, and Hunter Biden-like hidden truths. And in return they get abortion. —Nevada

Re: “Friday Short Cuts

When is Biden going to do something about our retirement accounts that he turned to dust over the last 16 months? I’d like a little relief for that atrocity. I feel after 44 years in the workforce I shouldn’t have had $150K taken away by poor presidential decisions two years before I retire. —New Mexico

Re: “Those Poor, Oppressed Groomers in Florida

One issue that’s not understood by many is the fact that most teachers under 40 were themselves indoctrinated into the current godless philosophies and trending perversions of reality. Are these “teachers” capable of teaching basic education? Do they have the knowledge and skills needed to teach the basics? Do we all agree what the basics are, and do we want our children to master these disciplines? I think so, and I also think many younger teachers were shortchanged by the public education system and if tested would be unqualified to teach 'the basics.’ This is a multigenerational reality that parents need to consider. I think a complete STOP in all public education is the only way it has a chance for a turnabout. Reeducate the educators with truth. —Oregon
