The Patriot Post® · Three Million Illegals, Dems Sue Over 50 of Them
Never underestimate the ability of Democrats to change the subject or to deftly employ the massive messaging advantage they have via their apparatchiks in the mainstream media.
Last week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis flew 50 Venezuelan migrants to wealthy Martha’s Vineyard. Almost immediately, those migrants were booted off the island by its “compassionate” elitist inhabitants — fully highlighting the very hypocrisy DeSantis sought to expose. These leftists want a flood of immigrants as long as someone else takes care of them.
Yesterday, at the behest of activist Democrat trial lawyers, three of those migrants filed a class action lawsuit against DeSantis and other government officials for violating constitutional protections and various federal statutes. Specifically, the co-defendants are accused of enacted “a premeditated, fraudulent, and illegal scheme centered on exploiting [the migrants] for the sole purpose of advancing their own personal, financial and political interests.”
The real class action lawsuit should be filed against Joe Biden. Plaintiffs could include the three million folks he invited to illegally cross the border in the last 11 months alone, or the border states that have been overwhelmed by his intentional invasion, or the locales around the nation where Biden has secretly flown illegals and dumped them, or the families of the hundreds of thousands of Americans who’ve died of overdoses thanks to drugs smuggled across the border, or the perhaps countless victims of crime at the hands of violent migrants.
Unfortunately, at present, the Biden administration has deliberately prohibited any national database of violent crimes committed by the illegal aliens he has invited into our country. Meanwhile, an increasing number of suspected terrorists are being nabbed crossing the border. And Venezuela is reportedly purposely freeing violent inmates and then sending them here.
Biden says he can’t really send them back: “What’s on my watch now is Venezuela, Cuba, and Nicaragua, and the ability to send them back to those states is not rational.”
Ron DeSantis is not the problem here. Joe Biden is the one criminally derelict in his duty, and every violent crime committed by Biden’s illegal pawns needs to be hung around his neck.
As Mark Alexander notes, DeSantis has been accused of inhumanely and illegally luring immigrants onto the Martha’s Vineyard flights with promises of housing and jobs, accusations he has completely debunked. DeSantis responded: “What’s not humane is what Biden is doing. He’s given a false promise, the border’s open, luring people to come here for political purposes, and then basically cutting these people loose and leaving them high and dry.”
DeSantis’s office ably rebutted the lawsuit as well, disclosing the consent form provided to the migrants prior to departure and issuing a blistering statement about leftist activists:
If these activists spent even a fraction of this time and effort at the border, perhaps some accountability would be brought to the Biden Administration’s reckless border policies that entice illegal immigrants to make dangerous and often lethal journeys through Central America and put their lives in the hands of cartels and Coyotes.
The transportation of the immigrants to Martha’s Vineyard was done on a voluntary basis. The immigrants were homeless, hungry, and abandoned — and these activists didn’t care about them then. Florida’s program gave them a fresh start in a sanctuary state and these individuals opted to take advantage of chartered flights to Massachusetts. It was disappointing that Martha’s Vineyard called in the Massachusetts National Guard to bus them away from the island within 48 hours.
