Since 2019, the money supply has been increased by more than a third, with little increase in economic activity since that point to match. Consequently, unless Congress finally begins real repayment of the national debt, we will see prices increase by at least a third, no matter what the Federal Reserve does. Two important questions are how quickly that will happen, and how badly workers on the low end of the economic scale and their families will be hurt, for they are the ones who typically are most harmed by inflation. —Minnesota
I’ve always wondered why “excluding the volatile categories of food and energy” makes any sense at all. Last time I checked, every human has to eat. Food should be the single largest category to be always included in the numbers. Moreover, a not insignificant percentage of the population wants to be somewhat warm in the winter. Food and energy categories must be included in inflation numbers. —Utah

Agree completely. Leaving a tip at a fast food joint is absurd, especially when I’ve ordered online and have already done half the job for them. And at a retail store?! Don’t be ridiculous. Considering that “minimum” wage in a lot of places is now more than I earn for a job I had to go to school to learn how to do, I don’t think I need to leave a tip to encourage them to do what they were hired for. —Pennsylvania

Most countries try to act in their own best interests. Saudi Arabia is no different. It has simply decided that it has more to gain by sticking with the OPEC program than by relying on an uncertain President Biden who won’t even use his own country’s resources at hand. Expect little from the Saudis until the next turn of the political wheel here, and even then their own interests will be primary. —Kentucky

Until we amend the Constitution and prohibit any federal funds to any person, class, or category of people for any reason except reciprocity, such abuse of power will be attempted. Each and every social issue debated today includes federal dollars, often called entitlements. Our Constitution was never designed for this, and such a practice is destroying our nation. —Missouri

Which equates, essentially, to a NOTHING BURGER, as those turned back into Mexico simply join the next caravan north and reenter the U.S. through our not secured border with the likelihood that they will become one of the thousands of “gotaways” who cross daily. —Maryland

One truly gross part of the Biden regime’s policy of promoting illegal immigration is the fact that Mexican cartels fire machine guns across the border, yet the regime refuses to respond with military border security — insisting the border is closed and CBP is adequate to handle any problems. Meanwhile, the regime plans to use the military to collect illegal alien trash and run errands for them. —Illinois

It’s far more important for 10-year-olds to know fire, electrical, and traffic safety than to be able to parrot gender ideology. The time would be much better spent on the science behind everyday technology or on learning basic rules of human interaction, like honor your parents, don’t steal, don’t commit adultery, don’t murder, don’t slander, and don’t covet what isn’t yours, but love others as yourself and do to others as you would want them to do to you. The catch is that each of these rules denies something profitable to leftist hucksters. —Minnesota

As this article demonstrates, conservatives tend to overthink our response to the progressive liberal agenda. We have simple tools that unfortunately we don’t employ. When my conservative friends complain about the current state of affairs, I tell them to stop watching the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and college sports. Stop using Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and all social media platforms that are controlled by woke progressives. If more conservatives would follow these simple tenets, it would hurt these entities where it hurts the most — the bottom line. I haven’t seen an NFL game since players started kneeling, and along the way I discovered I really don’t need to watch sports and give a platform to greedy athletes and woke sports analysts. —California

Some readers may recall several high-profile incidents during the Obama years when armed and overzealous federal officials (especially tied to the Department of the Interior) made some situations far more dangerous than they needed to be, and at least one resulted in fatalities. If federal employees want to play with guns, let them transfer to the Army. After all, the Army is short of its personnel needs by thousands. Otherwise, unless they’ve received the full course on use of force and weapons required of police officers in most jurisdictions, they shouldn’t be getting firearms for law enforcement or “security” purposes. It is neither right nor safe in a free republic that the civilian government would be more heavily armed than the people. —Minnesota
