Al Gore Promoter of Doomsday Cult?

· Friday, October 7, 2011

Okay, this picture is funny, but some take the comparison seriously.

The Wall Street Journal had an article a few months back when Harold Camping predicted the end of the world would occur on May 21, 2011, calling Camping the "Christian Al Gore." Why?

Because the former Vice President is more and more being seen as part of a new doomsday cult that has grown out of the Green movement.

While there are environmental issues we should be concerned about, as Marc Morano of Climate Depot pointed out on my radio show this week, some Green devotees are using the movement to promote a radical agenda that includes population control, and exploiting people of color in third world countries, insisting on putting solar panels on grass huts!

The most recent green doomsday scare has been Global Warming, which in former years was thought of as a scientific theory, but today promoters like Al Gore are taking it over the edge, resulting in some Green advocates publicly stating that Gore's 'apocalyptic' claims are beyond even their belief. For example, as The UK Guardian's Leo Hickman, a prominent media activist for man-made global warming, said:

I was a little nervous this morning logging into Climate Reality...And, I have to say, my heart immediately sank, is Gore now a help or hindrance to global warming cause? I have suffered this torture too many times over the years...[Gore's show had] slide after slide of extreme weather events...& linking everyone, it seemed, to rise in [man-made] emissions...that is a very contentious peg on which to hang your hat...

And two German scientists, following Gore's recent 'climate reality show' called his latest claims 'apocalyptic' and his 'promise of salvation' disturbing.

Apocalyptic? Promise of salvation? Are they going too far with their criticisms? Perhaps a basic definition of what a cult is can help answer the question:

A Cult: controls its members' beliefs & behavior; dictating what they accept as 'the truth', and who they associate with (only those who with the same beliefs); and strongly promote their leaders as having superior knowledge, and if you disagree with them you are labeled.

There are those who take this talk of Al Gore promoting a cultist-type adherence to climate change as untrue, or merely 'tongue in cheek,' but there are those who take his beliefs more seriously, because they take him at his word, such as he writes in his book, "Earth in the Balance," promoting a religious duty to be 'green':

The challenge before the religious community in America is to make every congregation - every church, synagogue and mosque - truly "green" -- a center of environmental study and action. That is their religious duty.

Chapter and verse please?

Isn't it funny how leaders in the environmental 'doomsday cult' don't practice their own 'preaching'? Let's not forget that Al Gore has become a bizillionaire doing what he's doing to promote his man-made global warming theory.

In May of 2010 Noel Sheppard at NewsBusters reported:

Nobel Laureate Al Gore purchased a $9 million mansion in the luxurious hills of Montecito, California, recently, and with the exception of the Los Angeles Times and Fox News, America's media couldn't care less. You think it might be because the Gore-loving press wouldn't want people to consider the possibility that all of his global warming hysteria was really about lining his wallet and not saving the planet.

And remember what Gore, the Nobel Laureate, told Congress in 2009 as the House was deliberating cap-and-trade legislation? See Video.

Al Gore is not alone in 'climate adherence hypocrisy' -- this movement is filled with elitists who expect everyone but themselves to follow their dictates. Who can forget the Climate Conference in Bali a few years back where environmental elitists all flew in on their private jets causing chaos? Here's the details just to refresh our memories.

Well, I could go on and on, and I'm sure you could, too, but we'll leave it here for now. I've got to hop in my SUV and buy some charcoal for tonight's bar-be-que steak dinner.

Good Job Sharon.

What ever happened to the charges against Gore up in Seattle Wa., the one with the masseuse. The cops were going to reinvestigate. Did some of the global hot air cash change hands from "big" Al to the masseuse? Did it all get swept under the "carbon" free rug.

All the liberal leaders, democrat political bigwigs are elitists, they have an uncanny resemblence to Jim Jones, or in Als case Myung Sun Moon. They all end up with a lot of money by the time they are done doing their elitist thing. LBJ, BHO, and as you girls might like to say, big Al, that is a joke ladies.

Big Al has commited a form of white collar crime. But he will never be held accountable, not now, nor for the rest of his days in his 9 million dollar mansion on the shore of the Pacific, where he alone is safe from the global warming caused, rising waters of said pacific ocean because of his humanitarian effort, and for the cause of green, not because his doom and gloom sales pitch was a fraud.

I loathe Al, may a shark dine on his blubber as he wades out into his private waters of his private beach. A beach purchased with the cold cash hijacked from so many with his global warming scam. Angel of the Rockford files would have been in awe Al. Thank you.

Pete, my favorite show in the 70s was Rockford. As I was writing about Als big scam it came right back to me, Angel Martin, Stuart Mangolin, man was he great as Angel. Always scaming. They just don`t make shows like they used to, Startrek, The Wild Wild West, The Rifleman, and then of course Rockford.

Good to have some good memories even with tv. Well thanks.

The Christian Al Gore! LOL!!! That's the best one I've heard in years. In fact, Al's cult is precisely a perverted form of Christianity. Man is the center of all things, he is evil and he will burn for it. Only by embracing me, Al Gore, will ye be saved. Sound familiar?

Angel Martin? One of my favorite characters. Too bad Garner had such a bad agent. $0 on residuals!
