"What a glorious morning this is!" --Samuel Adams

The Osama File: Case Closed

Osama bin Laden

Osama bin Laden was killed in Pakistan by Navy SEALs on Sunday and his remains were discarded at sea. The raid was conducted with little input from Pakistan.

Osama's death marks a long-awaited triumph for the United States, but it came much too late and at a very high price. Michael Scheuer, former CIA chief of the team hunting Osama bin Laden, confirmed with great disdain that SpecOps had not one but two opportunities to kill Osama before 9/11, however with Osama in their sights, Bill Clinton pulled the plug on both those operations. Consequently, the 9/11 jihadis settled into U.S. suburbs under Clinton's watch.

The success of this mission elevates the danger of terrorist attack on the continental U.S. because al-Qa'ida must now assert its relevance in the absence of its leader.

Announcing Osama's death, Barack Obama claimed that in the aftermath of 9/11, "no matter what God we prayed to ... we were united as one American family." Horse pucky. There were many instances of Muslims within the U.S. expressing elation over Osama's attack. Even Obama's "pastor" Jeremiah "GD America" Wright claimed, "White America got a wake-up call after 9/11. White America ... came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into the woodwork or just disappeared as the great white West kept on its merry way of ignoring black concerns."

Obama took full credit for the kill, saying, "Shortly after taking office, I [made] the killing or capture of bin Laden the top priority." Apparently Obama is under the false impression that killing Osama was a low priority for the Bush administration. Killing Osama has been a top priority since Sept. 12, 2001. Perhaps he will now take full credit for everything else happening on his watch, and stop blaming Bush!

Osama's death is a key victory in the world war against Islamists, albeit a small victory in the Long War against Muslim hatred. Next up, native son of New Mexico Anwar al-Awlaki, Osama's chief lieutenant, also hiding out in Pakistan.

Publisher's Note

To our Patriot brothers and sisters, on Thursday, I posted a note about not making our publishing deadline for the first time in 15 years due to severe weather. It took a couple of days before I was able to get online and see the hundreds of responses, which I did not expect for a note about our interrupted publishing schedule.

Let me just say, we are overwhelmed by your notes of support and encouragement. I have spent the better part of the last four days working with my boys and many others, digging folks out from what was left of their humble homes. It is a blessing to serve others and we are grateful for the opportunity to pitch in. Early in my career, I spent six years as a first responder, both law enforcement and medical, and during those years and those since, I have witnessed, repeatedly, communities coming together after tragedy and pooling resources and talent for the benefit of others they have never met. That is the essence of America. Thanks to all those who have held up in prayer and offering those who have suffered here.

"Speaking on behalf of your readers and supporters, our need for your excellent analysis is far outweighed by your neighbor's need for your immediate assistance. You have our blessing to suspend publication for as long as it takes to meet these responsibilities as you see them." --Robert

"First, let me say I believe Obama was born in Hawaii and all the distraction over his birth certificate has been part of his plan to divide and conquer, right out of Saul Alinski's play book. Now Obama give's the world his long form certificate to put the question to rest. Please explain to me why the White House would post a blatantly modified PDF copy of the birth certificate? I use Photoshop and Illustrator daily in my work and the PDF posted by the White House has been made up to look like it has been tampered with, and it is very obvious to anyone in the business of graphic arts." --Dave

Editor's Reply: As we noted Friday, nothing Obama releases at this point will convince any of those who believe he was not born in Hawaii that he was, so perhaps they have decided to keep the ruse going, ad nauseum, in order to keep some of his opponents' political capital pouring down a rathole, while he bankrupts the nation.

"Your comment about WorldNetDaily in Friday's Digest was uncalled for. I have always had a very high opinion of your column but it just took a nosedive with your criticism of WorldNetDaily. WND is one of the most reputable, most thoroughly researched news sources out there. As for WorldNetDaily selling advertising -- The Patriot Post does the same thing. Is the kettle calling the pot black?" --Richard

Editor's Reply: We knew that a handful of our readers who also subscribe to sensationalist websites, would take strong exception to our criticism of those sites. The problem with sensationalist websites like WorldNetDaily, Patriot Update and others, is that they build some of their most controversial stories on 10 percent substance and 90 percent fragrance. The result of the hype is that it tends to divert attention from core threats to liberty and focus it on topical threats, which often have only marginal merit in fact. These diversions are a disservice to grassroots conservatives and the legacy of Liberty. The birth certificate hype is a textbook case in point. Yes, Obama is the consummate narcissistic Socialist, and yes, he should have released this information, and other records related to his background, on the first request. But the diversion he created via all the sensationalist hype was a masterful political ploy.

As for advertising, actually we do NOT advertise for any third party or share our subscriber lists under any circumstances -- and the products we sell from our own Patriot Shop support our mission. On the other hand, the sensationalist advertising models built on hype, such as the WorldNetDaily's Y2K scare are, at best, unethical. For example, in the year before Y2K, WND ran an endless loop about the world coming to an end -- and those stories were peppered with sources for your survival gear, bulk food, gold and silver, etc. If you were one of their true believers, you got suckered. If are still one, you still are. (BTW, if you want to see our balanced coverage on this issue, read The Fat Lady Will Sing.)

Re: The Left

"Who truly reviles America the hegemon? The world that Obama lived in and shaped him intellectually: the elite universities; his Hyde Park milieu (including his not-to-be-mentioned friends, William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn); the church he attended for two decades, ringing with sermons more virulently anti-American than anything heard in today's full-throated uprising of the Arab Street. It is the liberal elites who revile the American colossus and devoutly wish to see it cut down to size. Leading from behind -- diminishing America's global standing and assertiveness -- is a reaction to their view of America, not the world's. Other presidents take anti-Americanism as a given, rather than evidence of American malignancy, believing -- as do most Americans -- in the rightness of our cause and the nobility of our intentions. Obama thinks anti-Americanism is a verdict on America's fitness for leadership. I would suggest that 'leading from behind' is a verdict on Obama's fitness for leadership. Leading from behind is not leading. It is abdicating. It is also an oxymoron. Yet a sympathetic journalist, channeling an Obama adviser, elevates it to a doctrine. The president is no doubt flattered. The rest of us are merely stunned." --columnist Charles Krauthammer

Opinion in Brief

"Climate change is dead as a major political issue for the foreseeable future. Don't believe me? Check out Obama's remarks in his weekly radio address last weekend. It was all about energy policy, and yet not once did he talk about climate change. ... According to the Congressional Research Service, hardly a mouthpiece for Big Oil, the U.S. has the largest energy resources of any country, Saudi Arabia and Russia included. But in another sense it's not odd, because telling voters that they have to pay high gas prices in order to ineffectually fight climate change would be honest but incalculably dumb, politically. Recent polling shows that Americans care about the economy more -- a lot more -- than global warming. Skepticism about the existence of a problem or its scope has been rising in the U.S. and Europe. ... Green jobs destroy more jobs than they create, and pay less. In Spain, Obama's favorite clean-energy innovator, one study found that 2.2 jobs were destroyed for every one that was created. Indeed, across Europe, massive investments in wind and solar simply haven't paid off. ... Obama and the greens are in an exquisite bind. Without economic recovery, Americans won't support Obama's 'investments,' but Obama's investments are a hindrance to recovery." --columnist Jonah Goldberg

For the Record

"While Mr. Obama scoffs at the notion that new drilling would make a difference, the United States sits on perhaps 1 trillion recoverable barrels of oil, enough to last more than 200 years without any Middle Eastern oil. Unleashing this could create millions of jobs, lift the economy and free us from dependence on foreign oil. Instead, the president pretends to back new production while his bureaucrats smother it. Mr. Obama's most misleading assertion might be that the United States has 'about 2 [percent], maybe 3 percent of the world's proven oil reserves; we use 25 percent of the world's oil.' ... The weasel term is 'proven.' That includes only oil under sites already approved and prepared for harvest. The Congressional Research Service estimates that the U.S. has 157 billion barrels of recoverable oil. Another 900 billion from shale and other unconventional sources will soon be recoverable. The only thing blocking this energy bounty is the hard leftists who populate the White House, executive agencies and U.S. Senate. They are hellbent on making America swallow the Gaia version of the Earth, socialist economics and Al Gore's man-caused climate change." --columnist Robert Knight

The Gipper

"Keeping America strong is as vital to the national security as controlling Federal spending is to our economic security. But, as I have said before, the most powerful force we can enlist against the Federal deficit is an ever-expanding American economy, unfettered and free. The magic of opportunity -- unreserved, unfailing, unrestrained -- isn't this the calling that unites us? I believe our tax rate cuts for the people have done more to spur a spirit of risk-taking and help America's economy break free than any program since John Kennedy's tax cut almost a quarter century ago." --Ronald Reagan

Culture

"What entitlements do, and what the transformation of entitlements into rights does, is create a citizenry that increasingly lacks the most important character trait -- gratitude. Of all the characteristics needed for both a happy and morally decent life, none surpasses gratitude. Grateful people are happier, and grateful people are more morally decent. That is why we teach our children to say 'thank you.' But the welfare state undoes that. One does not express thanks for a right. So, instead of 'thank you,' the citizen of the welfare state is taught to say, 'What more can I get?' Yet, while producing increasingly selfish people, the mantra of the left, and therefore of the universities and the media, has been for generations that capitalism and the free market, not the welfare state, produces selfish people. They succeed in part because demonizing conservatives and their values is a left-wing art. But the truth is that capitalism and the free market produce less selfish people. Teaching people to work hard and take care of themselves (and others) produces a less, not a more, selfish citizen. Capitalism teaches people to work harder; the welfare state teaches people to want harder. Which is better?" --radio talk-show host Dennis Prager

The Last Word

"Taking only one performance problem in a single government office -- surfing Internet pornography at the Securities and Exchange Commission: In 2010, 31 employees were found to have spent their workdays downloading Internet [smut] in the 2 1/2 years during and preceding the financial crash that led to the greatest depression in nearly a century. One of their favorite ... sites was 'Fannie Mae Hill,' while those who prefer big girls were at 'Too Big to Fail.' ... Seventeen of the [smut]-surfers were being paid government salaries of $99,356 to $222,418. One senior lawyer at SEC headquarters in Washington, D.C., admitted to spending eight hours a day looking at Internet pornography. ... In another classic example of the left hand not wanting to know what the right hand was doing, an employee with the SEC's Division of Corporation Finance admitted watching up to five hours a day of pornography in his office. ... Even after admitting to surfing [smut] all day on the taxpayers' dime, not one of the lonely SEC employees was fired, nor were their names released by the government, even in response to a Freedom of Information Act request. ... These are the true beneficiaries of big government -- or our 'commitments,' as Obama calls them -- not the poor, the elderly, the disadvantaged, and those about whom we say 'There but for the grace of God, go I.' Democrats don't resent 'the rich' on behalf of the poor. They resent the rich on behalf of the government." --columnist Ann Coulter

Let's see....we released the questionable birth certificate. Next, Bin Laden is taken out. It is a long time until election day so Obama has to come up with lots of things to distract the populace from the fact that so many are still unemployed, prices on everything are going up, and he, like Nero, fiddles while the USA burns up in a fire of domestic disasters. This man hasn't a clue and has surrounded himself with equally ignorant, destructive advisers.

The whole business of birth location makes an interesting distraction, somewhat similar to the Middle Ages question of “How many angles can dance on the head of a pin.” Where he was born is less important than his outlook. He is the first President I am aware of, who in my opinion, hates America and Americans. Born wherever, raised in Jakarta by a Muslim Marxist father and step father, and an atheist Marxist mother; going to the Mosque and Madras schools, where they teach only two things: the Koran and hatred of America; attending American colleges and spending most of his time with Leftist students and professors; attending Wrights hate spewing church for 20 yrs in Chicago. Could we expect anything else? Now he is attempting to drive the US into the ground so he can convert it to a People’s Republic. I suspect he is surprised by the strength of the push back he is getting.

If he succeeds, we loose.

Thank you folks for all you do. However, should we be so quick to laud BO for OBL's death when this may well be part of the campaign to re-elect BO on the merits of "mission occomplished", new war initiatives (which almost always bode well for the sitting president) etc. Unfortunately I don't trust anything or any motives any longer.

Praise to our brave military, but the radical muslim brotherhood/hamas/hezbolla/al quaida need another jihad reason to rally the radical muslim countries around Israel and the US. We just made a martyr out of this evil creep Osama bin Laden. Killing him really accomplished nothing to stop terrorism at this point. These radical Islamist live to kill infidels and die for Allah. There are hundred other suicide terrorist leaders just ready to take his place. The jihad storm is on the horizon. We continue to put Israel at high risk. Lord Jesus help and protect us all.

Discarding Osama bin Laden at sea makes sense because the Muslim world would likely raise a large Mosque over his dead bones - to honor him as a great Muslim - a true follower of the Koran and Hadiths.

You are still missing the Real Point on Obama.

The Constitution MUST mean what it says or it absolutely means nothing at all.

The Founders (many of them: including George Washington, John Jay, Benjamin Franklin and others) wanted to avoid anybody from having "dual allegiance" (dual citizenship) So the term "natural born citizen" was purposely put into the Constitution. While not specificalloy defined in the constitution the above referenced Founders and others knew exactly what it meant. They used the "Law of Nations" to help guide them as they put together a Government. According to Book 1, Chapter 19, Paragraph 212. It clearly state there that "natural born citizens" are those born in the Country of Parents (plural) who are citizens.

Therefore the Birth Certificate of Live Birth PROOVES that Obama is not Eligible for the office of President, nor commander in Chief. Further when McCain was vetted by the Congress to determine his eligibility, Congrss clearly stated: (Co-sponsord and signed on by Obama)that McCain was born on American soil (a military hospital) in Panama and that BOTH his parents were US Citizens.

If you want to change the Constitution.....it must be amended, not ignored. He is not eligible.

...............PERIOD

While I enjoy/appreciate ur site/info. - I MUST ask u to do some very easy research re: Obama's supposed Long Form Certificate of Live Birth vs. a geniune Birth Certificate. Facts are clear = anyone who can prove 1 year of residency in Hawaii is issued a "Certificate of Live Birth" from the Director of the Dept. of Health/Hawaii upon applying for same.

Pls. take 5 mins. and search = How to apply for Cert. of Live Birth" then as the numerous articles come up .... scroll down to one written by a Lawyer in Hawaii = "Birth Certificate vs. Certificate of Live Birth" wherein he quotes the Hawaiian Statute which directs the Dept. of Health to issue a Certificate of Live Birth (ala Obama's)to anyone who can provide evidence of at least one year of Hawaiian residency or A PERSON OF FOREIGN BIRTH.

THIS SHOULD BE THE NUMBER ONE STORY FOR YOUR READERS AND CONTINUE TO PRESS OBAMA FOR REAL PROOF NOT FALSE EVIDENCE.....IMPEACHABLE OFFENSE....FOR CONTINUING TO LIE TO AMERICANS BY PERPETUATING THIS "LONG FORM" THAT OBVIOUSLY IS NOT AT ALL EVIDENCE OF HIS NATIONALITY --- SHAME ON HIM!

THX. HOPE U CHK THIS OUT 4 URSELF AND UR READERS!

And by the way, there had to be many people in Pakistan's military and government who knew exactly where he lived.

BTW, in my humble opinion, buying gold for survival is BAD advice -- if you want to buy a loaf of bread after fiat currency has failed, you need small denomination junk silver, not gold. As I noted, Caveat Emptor, Jerry!

The Beeeeg Story today is the death of Osama bin Laden. It may bring some closure to those who lost loved ones on 9-11, and that is good, but I see it as the death of another terrorist and one that should have happened years ago. What I don't understand is why PBS and its affiliates should spend an entire day's programming on it. We put in a team, they did their duty, he's dead and buried. End of story at least for him and at least for now or until a deputy comes along. The war on terrorism will go on no matter who is running the show, and we must be ever mindful of that and deal with it.

Did you relaize that we have opened an old gas refining plant in the state where I live. They have added like 20 new tanks and are piping the oil from Canada somewhere to here. All the tanks are full. I have a friend that lives out West he says their tanks are full too.

So we don't have any oil available to use in this country? Or are the refineries so bad they can't produce gas any more. We need to be drilling, upgradeing our refineries and producing our own oil. That is my opinion.

Not intending to take anything from the SEALS that did the deed on bin Laden, but dumping the body was a mistake. We must take the word of Obama and other bureaucrats whom most people don't believe anyway, that bin Laden is dead. It may be a gross suggestion, but bin Laden's body should have been publicly displayed as it was disposed of. That would have eliminated any doubt that the man is gone.

The breaking news was so important that Obama cut his golf game short to 9 holes. Now that's sacrifice. When the actual chronology rolls out, we will find that the assault took place a day or so ago, that an autopsy and DNA samples were taken to verify, and the body prepared for burial at sea. Not all on Sunday as being reported now.

In this one instance, as long as the murderous Islamo-fascist is dispatched to be with his cronies, Hitler, Mao, Stalin, Pol Pot, Saddam, etc., I'll give credit where it is due - the US Military and Intelligence services. May it send a message to others who most certainly must ponder a similar fate. But let us not be deceived, there are many more evil weeds to sprout up to take his place.

There is no question that "osama obama" will utilize this incident as a means of seeking to lay siege to the Oval Office for another 4 years.

1. As noted by its speech last night (according to previous posts as I refuse to listen to anything it has to say) the speech contained so many references to itself that there can be no question that it intends the American voted to believe that it alone was responsible for this victory.

2. With the elimination of obl, look for "osama obama" to soon push for the removal of all US assets in Afghanistan.

3. As obl is no longer a threat, look for "osama obama to seek to close gitmo by year end.

All of these will draw to him, those who look only to the short term and ignore the long term implications.

A few questions arise: How long has the information about obl's location been known, how long has the military's plan of action been ready for implementation, did the Pakistan government cause any delay in such action, was NATO or the UN consulted before the action began? These are only a few of the questions that could AND should be asked.

"osama obama" has been sinking in the polls of late. I have no doubt that the action to eliminate obl NOW was due in a large part due to this decline.

It occurred to me that when the President reiterated several times that the operation to kill Bin Laden was conducted with little or no input from the Pakistani government, he was really emphasizing (without directly acknowledgin it) that he was employing the Bush Doctrine to the situation at hand.

When you said, "The problem with sensationalist websites like WorldNetDaily, Patriot Update and others, is that they build some of their most controversial stories on 10 percent substance and 90 percent fragrance." I couldn't have said it better!

I receive links to WND in emails and on discussion boards daily. Many times I have confronted "the user," as sending a way too biased opinion to give credence to their RAG of a online "NEWSPAPER."

Thank goodness that the Democrats were not successful in shutting down the CIA interogations before they got the information on Bin Laden that made it possible to find him. Now the Democrats are standing around congratulating each other over the use of information from results of the GW Bush prisoner treatment.

So I see the headine on Fox, "Bin laden dead, buried at sea". Why do I think the the word "buried" should be replaced with "dumped". I'm sure the Navy SEALs also gave him a one finger salute when he departed the helo.

Comforting to know the last thing that went through bin Laden's mind was either 5.56mm, 7.62mm, or 9mm, or a combination thereof.

Based on the severity of the head wound in the photographs, the round was most likely a 7.62 from a Colt CM901. Allahu Akbar!

No doubt Osama Bin Laden is dead and good riddance. But the quick burial at sea? I'd really like to hear from a Patriot with Special Ops or CIA expertise on that. I don't understand.

Second, does this administration study the art of gaming its opposition into barking down phoney rabbit trails? We're at the end of the Birth Certificate scam.

Does Donald Trump, or someone, now start demanding the Death Certificate?

It seems wisdom would have been to fly in a hundred well known witnesses from every corner of the globe to witness the corpse and only then dropped him in the ocean when the last doubt was squelched.

Editor's Reply:

On your question of the first, as a rule of thumb, it is always good to quickly dispose of martyrs as there is a direct correlation between the time you hold a corpse and the amount of insurrection in response. Personally, I hope they wrapped his body in a pigskin blanket on the way out. As for your second question as to whether Obama teases his opposition? Well of course he does, and as with the birth certificate, no number of witnesses would be sufficient because the facts really aren't at issue.

The Founding Fathers set forth requirements for President of United States: Article 11, Section 1, Clause 5. U. S. Constitution. Alexander and the Editors should do a modicum of research to understand fully the requirement "natural born citizen" --- Please revisit the birth issue after doing some due diligence that any honest journalist should do. Leave our oil where it is. Use up the Arabs' and everyone else's oil, then we'll have the only oil. Further, we can ramp up production quickly, we're Americans. Oil in the ground is safer than "strategic reserves" easily burned by an enemy in a first strike. Our problem is the social and economic weakness of America which Obama and his ilk spread for their own treasonous reasons. Our soft underbelly is exposed and that will cause oil prices to increase faster than anything-supply and demand be damned.

Although, this "Osama File: Case Closed". It is only, the beginning of the end. There will be some one else taking his place. Don't you think so? The Muslim world have never see eye-to-eye with anyone since beginning of time, including their own. Our nation, and others, needs to be prepared for the worst to come. The build up in the Middle East is only the beginning of the end until a mass destruction happens. It is sad that our world is full of hatred towards any one individual of race, ethic and religion. We all really need to join in effort to promote peace, but the roots of that, is only beginning to be quite futile as long as there are those who continue to promote the evil antagonists of our society. When is this going to end? Are we prepare for that day? I don’t think so.

Okay... so I'm hearing all this drivel and debate about UBL's remains being buried at sea, after carefully given the prescribed Islamic funeral rites. And then there are so-called "Islamic Scholars" who are saying the burial at sea thing was not appropriate, etc., etc., yada, yada, yada.

Few questions here....

First - Do you Islamic Scholars out there really think the majority of us here in the U.S. really give a flying &*#% what you think was or was not appropriate for that monster? I know there are those who whimper and say... "Oh my, but we don't what to inflame the Muslims around the world, because they might do bad things to us." Really??? Where have you been the last 4 decades? Like they really need an excuse to get all inflamed and stuff. What a joke.

Second - Why were we so concerned with the Islamic rituals in the first place? I thought President Obama said UBL wasn't a real Muslim. There are numerous examples throughout history of vile personages who have been denied by their church or religion funeral rituals or burial in consecrated ground because of the monstrous crimes they committed during their lives. You know? Crimes that were such an offense to the said church or religion. Was that NOT the case here with Bin Laden???

So are the Obama Administration and the "Islamic Scholars" finally admitting that Usama Bin Laden was a faithful practitioner of the laws and precepts of Islam, in accordance with the Quran and the Hadiths, that he deserved the consideration of Islamic rites and burial within the 24 hour time period according to all GOOD Muslims???

Hmmmm. Interesting. Somehow I don't believe it would have even occured to any Christian Church or government in May 1945 to have given Adolf Hitler (who died in his bunker 66 years ago almost to the day as UBL, and was secretly cremated in a hole just outside the bunker) to have given that monster religious burial rites of ANY sort.

Personally, I would have brought UBL's corpse back to the U.S., wrapped it in a pigskin shroud and hung it in one of those old pirate gibbet cages, from the torch of the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbor, where his remains could be picked clean by crows and seagulls within sight of the 9/11 Twin Tower atrocity. Then... consign the bones to the sea.

How does anyone truly know that Osama was killed?

Why was the body dumped at sea? Why not brought back to the States for verification? Instead they brought back his DNA. Where did they get his DNA from to match the body that was killed? Who was the head of the department that lead the raid? I only hope and pray that it was indeed Osama. If the Towns people heard the choppers landing, why didn't the people at the compound hear them? Osama in a gunfight, thats a new tactic for him. As a martyr wouldn't he have blown everything up including his self so that he might have 40 virgins? Will the special Ops Force that went in be awarded medals? Will they be interviewed?

one week after Obama's "Certified Birth Certificate"

Why was Osama "Buried at sea, so quick". How did the

DNA match get done "so quick", only CSI NY/Miami/Las Vegas does it in an hour on TV with

commericals. I don't know if you guys fell off a

The American tax-payers' generosity could provide lawyers of his own kind, and make the case that he was basically a nice guy with a difficult childhood! Now he is dead. At first the news read that the body would be dealt with according to islamic tradition. Can you believe that? American Navy Seals with ski masks on separating his head from his body, and put it on You-tube? Seems like two bullets were a cheap solution, avoiding a lot of circus. Forget the Taser."

Hard Thought

To Jim H.;

What are you doing on this site???

In response to your whining and complaints consider:

1. Bill Clinton let OBL go, not once, but twice.

2. Richard Clarke wrote his book and claimed the warnings for self-aggrandizement and to try and remain relevant. He was not and isn't.

3. No briefing was given, to my knowledge, saying anything about OBL and that threat until years after the attack on 9/11.

4. President Bush stated quite often that the War on Terror was the most important priority of his Presidency and that the goal was to disrupt, disarm and destroy the organizations responsible for 9/11. OBL was a figurehead, out of contact and irrelevant. But it is good that he is dead.

5. The Iraqi war was not started by Bush but by Saddam Hussein in 1990. It went hot in Kuwait, awaited a buildup, went hot, again, and kicked the Iraqi's out of Kuwait, went cold and into a cease fire that saw thousands of violations of that cease fire, seventeen unenforced UN Resolutions, the expelling of weapons inspectors, the corruption of the "Oil for Food" program at the highest levels and finally went hot, again, after 12 years of incidents, cease fire violations, ignoring of international law and a refusal to allow inspections mandated by the UN.

It was the longest telegraphed punch in history.

Read your history and learn about international law.

Thoughtfully, I read through the comments. Mr. Yarbrough's comment about the American Flag at "the speech", Sunday night????? was very observant, since the "students in the streets" all had the US Flag(where was the American Flag, on the night of the election of Hussein??? When we saw the "students" with the RED Communist Flag waving, everyone does know that May 1 is an important COMMUNIST DAY) Reckon, these "students" have an Allegiance to anything??? with the atheism they have been taught in the Public Schools of this Beloved Country. REVERSE 1963 Supreme Court Ruling.

Poster TOM had some very important information we had better REMEMBER:

"The whole business of birth location makes an interesting distraction, somewhat similar to the Middle Ages question of “How many angles can dance on the head of a pin.” Where he was born is less important than his outlook.

If he succeeds, we loose."

I will add this, Romans 8:28, "WE know that all things work together for good, to them that love God and who are called according to His purpose." Yes, that's where we are in America, "Standing on the Promises of God".

To the Military: We, your fellow citizens are praying to God Almighty, not an unknown god, but to the God of Armies, who will "have His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as in Heaven." You, Veterans, are in our prayers that you have good judgment and discernment, that all of God's enemies will come to their end and you will be, as it says in Psalm 91, "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty". I declare that Almighty God to you, read Psalm 91. Put your Trust in The Almighty God and He will deliver you and our Beloved Country back to Our Glorious Foundations.

Armed Forces Day is May 21, we, a grateful Nation salute those who have defended and secured to US our "Christian Nation" as says the "Supreme Court ruling of 1892, "This is a Christian Nation. This is the "Faith of our Fathers".

I do beg your pardon everyone. I forgot to mention the post by Thomas L. Hart:

"You are still missing the Real Point on Obama.

While not specifically defined in the constitution the above referenced Founders and others knew exactly what it meant. They used the "Law of Nations" to help guide them as they put together a Government. According to Book 1, Chapter 19, Paragraph 212. It clearly state there that "natural born citizens" are those born in the Country of Parents (plural) who are citizens.

Therefore the Birth Certificate of Live Birth PROVES that Obama is not Eligible for the office of President, nor commander in Chief.

He is not eligible.

...............PERIOD"

Mr. Hart speaks of the "Law of Nations", we can know what the Founders' intent was by these documents. The point of the agitation on this "birth certificate" issue has to do with the violation of the Constitution. People are awakened to these violations and they are justifiably upset.

I was thinking about the agitation of Horatio Bunce, Davy Crockett's constituent, who corrected Mr. Crockett on his vote from the "public purse" for charitable purposes. Mr. Crockett was corrected.

Someone with an honest heart, with no intention to decieve or violate the Constitution, would have immediately, sought to remedy the concern, but that isn't what has happened. It is no wonder that people are "scalded" and not satisfied.

I hate that all of this discord is in our Beloved Country, but these subjects must be answered. We are not dealing with honest people in this administration and that is a grievous situation to conscientious people.

Birth certificate? I, for one, do not trust Obama and suspect that the delay in producing the birth certificate had a purpose, i.e., time to prepare a forged document. It’s very curious that he traveled to Pakistan while U.S. citizens were banned from going there. In addition it has been reported that he spent $2 million to bar the release of his college records and has offered no explanation of how he attended Occidental College as a foreign exchange student. The dots don’t connect, the burning question is why didn’t he products the birth certificate at the time it was first mentioned? I think the answer is it revealed something that couldn’t be made public and the document needed to be altered.

I would accept a $3 bill before accepting the validity of the document. If you believe otherwise one of us is an idiot, until I’m proven wrong I’ll assume it’s you.

As a conscientious reader of your journal I am surprised by your lack of insightful comment associating the recent run-up in the price of gas and oil as well as everything else, to the true cause of this situation. The real reason oil and gas prices are rising on a relatively flat demand scenario is the FED's policy of Quantative Easing. Since OPEC has a requirement that all purchases of it's oil be made in US dollars, the value of oil is inversely proportional to the value of the dollar. As the value of the dollar decreases, as it does with QE2 since it is a policy of printing money and causing the value of the dollar to naturally decline because there are more of them. The more you have of anything the less value that thing has. All the talk of speculation, gouging, etc is redundant as this is minutia as associated with the cost of oil and gas. The government is in the process of inflating our economy to it's own benefit and to the detriment of the rest of the nation's consumers. An inflated economy makes their debt worth less and paid back in less valuable dollars.
