Next time you use a photo of troops with bayonets, please get U.S. Marines and not a photo of British troops.

I could not tell if Brits or Aussie/New Zealanders. But the Bullpup leans toward Brit.

Brits, Aussies and Kiwis don't use M16s to train.

Correct, but those rifles that are charging with are bullpup style. I forgot their exact. I remember it well because we had Brits working in our sector in Northern Afghanistan. I ran into some Aussies and Kiwis in BAF. I know they used bullpup style rifles, but not that same manufacturer as the Brits. You backed up yet, or do you want to play guess that weapon and really loose.

I stand corrected, Patriot Post changed the picture from Brits with Bullpups to USMC with M16s. I just now saw that. I will still beat you on name that weapon.

Brits use L85A1 (aka SA80). Aussies use a locally produced version of the Steyr AUG.
USMC still issues the M16A2 as the primary infantry weapon.

I know what the US Military uses, since I have used them my self. If it has new rail system on it, it is an M16A4 which most branches have converted to. Of course everyone wants the M4. I did not look at the picture that close, so I would guess privates still get the old stuff. When I went through basic in 1982 and retired this year; my M16A1 had 5 numbers on the weapon opposed to 6 on everone elses. Also marked on the weapon was XM16E1A1. Talk about loose. When I went to Afghanistan, we (ETT Team) carried the M4 & M9, but the secfor kids carried M16A4s. Thanks for the model number for the Brits and Aussie bullpup. I got a chance to fire the Brit's bullpup but not the Aussie.

Isn't it ironic that the President who, four years ago, said he'd "calm the seas"... and now that it is again election time, the seas are being whipped up into huge storm surges by Sandy? Think someone is trying to tell us something?

Just reading the comments below about which guns were used in a photo, who's troops they were.....this is why your country is in such deep trouble. You guys are so un educated and so far removed from reality and the rest of the world its scary. Obama inherited this whole mess from years of George Bush's Republican regime that ran your country into the ground. The deceit lack of core values and people in power taking advantage of ordinary citizens (sub prime crisis, people ripping off people) ) it has been hard to watch. We in Canada aren't without our problems but our economy is way better, we don't kill each other a nearly the same rate and Imagine an ordinary person going to the doctor and not having to worry about going bankrupt? Here people are protected by government not exploited by it....War in Iraq...wish I had Halliburton Stocks? BTW -- I think the reason you don't like Ted Turner is because he's right !! Truth hurts. Thank you for free speech. The US is truly an amazing country with amazing people. Be kind to your neighbour. Look for concrete solutions, its easy to say whats wrong.

You are the uneducate one, my Canuck friend:
The day the democrats took over was not January 22nd 2009, it was actually January 3rd 2007, the day democrats took over the House of Representatives and the Senate, at the very start of the 110th Congress.
The Democrat Party controlled a majority in both chambers for the first time since the end of the 103rd Congress in 1995. For those who are listening to the liberals propagating the fallacy that everything is "Bush's Fault", think about this: January 3rd, 2007 was the day the Democrats took over the Senate and the Congress. At the time:
The DOW Jones closed at 12,621.77 The GDP for the previous quarter was 3.5% The Unemployment rate was 4.6%
George Bush's Economic policies SET A RECORD of 52 STRAIGHT MONTHS of JOB GROWTH Remember the day...
January 3rd, 2007 was the day that Barney Frank took over the House Financial Services Committee and Chris Dodd took over the Senate Banking Committee.
The economic meltdown that happened 15 months later was in what part of the economy? BANKING AND FINANCIAL SERVICES!
Unemployment... to this CRISIS by (among MANY other things) dumping 5-6 TRILLION Dollars of toxic loans on the economy from YOUR Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac FIASCOES!
Bush asked Congress 17 TIMES to stop Fannie & Freddie - starting in 2001

I concur. However, Mr. Canada, we Conservatives would love to buy the oil from your Alberta Oil Sands and transport them through the unbuilt Keystone XL pipeline that your fave, Corrupt Hussein Obama, chose to spike, along with his bin Laden execution, which he didn't do. Maybe it's because your country and its citizens choose not to murder innocents like the Muslims Obama chooses to side with. Go figure. I understand that your preferred President of OUR United States, Obama, would rather subsidize Brazil's oil business (along with George Soros) to the tune of $2 billion dollars US than simply authorize the private investment into the Keystone XL pipeline. Again, go figure.
Vote this POS out of office and legislate to prevent this SOB from destroying our country during his 10-week long lame duck session. This Marxist slob will undoubtably try to use Executive Orders to force through any number of God-awful, anti-American, budget-busting laws that will castrate the American public. No!

Folks, you have to understand that our Canadian friend is only parroting the liberal BS that the lamestream always puts out. He doesn't know that the housing bubble was created by the Carter and Clinton and that the stimulus was a hugh waste of money. I don't know what core values he is talking about but I can tell you they damn sure weren't lost by the conservatives in thiis country. It';s the Demorats and their mindless sheep that have no core values other than anything goes and what kind of benefits can I get from the government to so I can sit on my ass and do nothing and let someone else pay the bills. Our Canadian should get his facts right before critizing us.

Larry,
In just over a week, I will be in Kitui, Kenya. There are two major tribes in the area in which I will be - Luo and Kamba. To say that these tribes do not like each other is an understatement.
The Luo love Obama because he is Luo. The Kamba hate Obama because he is Luo. Both tribes do agree on one issue, however, Obama is Kenyan, born in Mombasa. They are quite happy to show anyone that cares to ask.

Those chaps and 100 more like them would have been of use defending the Consulate at Benghazi. Getting those bayonets into Islamic bellies would have been fitting. After, looking skyward, they could have given Obama the FINGER via the drone.

As I understand it, A hercules type gunship was also in the Benghazi area but was not used to protect the American Ambassador or Consulate. Why? Well how bout this: VOTES lost for Obama, the MUSLIM VOTE. There are 500,000 Muslims in N.Y.C. alone. The Evil thing in the Oval Office did not want to lose one vote, much less tens of thousands. This link will show you pictures of most the bullpup rifle in the world. Great design because the bolt and firing port are behing the trigger. Problem with quick magazine change. Great for keeping the effective range but reducing the overall length. So for those that do not know. Or just google picture of bullpup rifle and you will be more informed. I think the Australians use the Styr Aug. Many years ago before the Canadian Liberal Govt. of the time put them, among many others, in the "restricted weapons" class, I got to fire one . Hot diggity Damn....If Custer had them.....! We can still own Rugers Mini 14 and Benelli MR. without a "restricted weapon" permit. AR types are verboten, No "Second Amendment" here. We did have to register ALL guns the new Conservative Govt. killed that.
