Feinstein is a hypocrite of the highest order. Perhaps it is because she rose to prominence as the result of assassination, but she has no problems with her own gun ownership as well as that of her security detail.

Frankly, she (and other like-minded elitists) are the very reason why the Second Amendment exists.

I think, i believe, I guess, it has something to do with: the Dems hated the Bush tax cuts until they loved the Bush tax cuts, but I could be wrong, & I have a headache from not LOL.

Mark in San Antonio replied:

Yeah - tough to follow... I think it's saying, the dems have been saying/calling the Bush tax cuts a horrible thing, yet what they passed didn't at all get rid of those rates - they only trimmed some hair off that rate - and are now proud of their "great accomplishment" ??

Good morning... I'm more than a little dense sometimes, myself... :)

We have heard over and over again for the last 9 years, the lie about how the budget-busting "Bush" tax cuts gave tax breaks "millionaires and billionaires" on the "backs of the middle class". Yet, when there is talk of letting the tax cuts expire, liberals always fall back on the tactic of letting them expire for *only* the millionaires and billionaires (ie. anyone making over $250,000/year--snort). Actually, the 2003 tax cuts that have been so maligned by the left, cut taxes for just about EVERYBODY--including people who weren't paying any federal income taxes in the first place (through the Child Tax Credits and Earned Income Credits). By the way, the tax cuts *did not* result in higher deficits; after the tax cuts were implemented, federal tax revenues went UP, not down. However, liberals prefer not to let facts get in the way of their beloved ideology.

I guess the point of the cartoon is that, after all that class-warfare rhetoric, Congressional Democrats didn't have the guts to get rid of the hated "Bush tax cuts" when they had the chance. All they did was give them a "haircut".

You did fine, India. And after 5-6 years of methanol-based, deficit fueled, 35% food inflation, that $250K will buy a lot fewer groceries than back in Bush tax-cut days.

You got give PP QI/QA/PI points; they do respond to corrections. PP had a pic of Brit Soldiers attacking with Bullpups (SA80), but the caption read USMC attacking. The Marines filled the board with corrections until a few did not see the early pic and the lates ones caused a big stink. It was quite funny.

There are a few good politicians out there but they are far and few between. Most of them should either be behind bars or in mental institutions.

RedLeg in M'Boro replied:

I agree, but what does that say for the voters? Did the politicians get in because no one ran against them? Did the politician get in because it was a choice between more evil and most evil? Did the politician get in because the voters are so stupid they do not research who running? It has to be more than just the politician. I understand most are co-opted within a few years. Since mosot Americans are not as smart as the early Americans, I am for term limits and no retirement benefits for all three branches of elected government and what ever level of senior executive service.

Sure hope that's a ten round magazine, though (I don't think it is); she'll be David Gregory's cellmate in the DC jail. Would serve them both right.

Past time to insist truth be told!

Perpetrator of every mass shooting in last 20 years was either under, entering, or completing psychiatric care with prescription medicine. Fact is liberals would rather allow mass killings than "stigmatize" psych patients by ensuring all who need to know, especially local authorities (police), to keep very close surveillance and do not hesitate to take decisive action at first sign of problem.

Next fact is that there is NO case of mass killings when would-be perpetrator was opposed by a lawfully and appropriately handled gun. Instead, the cases where a gun prevented mass killings is not published. Of course, it is not news.

Really like the young boy's facial expression. The caption succintly demonstrates the insanity of removing guns off the streets. How many mass killings occured in places where laws prohibited the carrying of firearms?

Finally, a 38 caliber revolver in the hands of a determined and trained killer can easily kill as many persons as these "assault weapons" in hands of crazy. A little practice, and almost anyone can change a cartridge of ammo in 3-6 seconds. Four cartridges is 24 rounds. In a crowd, perpetrator could easily fataly wound two dozen people in less than a minute.

Remember, when seconds count, the police will be there in minutes.

Flyinhoss in Dallas, Texas replied:

Well stated, Major! All of the noise about high capacity magazines is confusing the uninitiated, with HIGH CALIBER! Actually, a five round, or seven round 12 gauge pump shot gun would be far more lethal to twenty kids huddled behind a teacher, or a theater full of unarmed citizens. The cartoons are on point, but liberals are incapable of rational thought.

M Rick Timms MD in Georgia replied:

Don't worry , they will try to outlaw shotguns and all ammunition, except for their security team.

Remember, every person that gets on an airliner is comforted by the fact that there is likely an Air Marshal with a concealed weapon - on the plane- just in case "trouble" is on the plane.

That is the best argument for a "School Marshal" in every elementary school. No open carry security guards like in High Schools, who can be taken out, or locked out by a smart killer. The NRA and FrontSight have both offered to train school officials for free - no cost.

This does not belong in the comedy section.

The underlying questions we face is -- When does the abuse of "executive privilege", rise to the level of tyranny? When does the breakdown of the legislative process, such as when Harry Reid refuses to address bills from the House, rise to the level of tyranny.

Tyranny thrives on "crisis", and "extreme measures" for the good of the country. These are desperate times - and are not looking up.

The Constitution should be our guide.
