The Right Opinion

It's Not 'All Over' Until We Stop Fighting

Culture Challenge of the Week: Obama,et al – Again.

Anyone who has been through a terrible storm, like Hurricane Sandy, knows that one of the first tasks in the storm's wake is to look at the landscape and assess the damage realistically.

So too for us, in the aftermath of Romney's defeat.

“Devastating.” “Unbelievable.” “It's all over.” Those were the feelings of patriotic conservatives across America when the elections results rolled in.

Devastating? Yes.

We know what the next four years will bring. Or at least we know the economic and moral havoc that Obama has unleashed in the past four years and we've got Obama's word on it that we can expect more of the same. His acceptance speech warns that he intends to “build on the progress we've made.”

We know that “progress,” in his view, means that our trillion dollar deficits will climb still higher – and so will our taxes. We know, as Sen. Harry Reid emphasized in the days after Obama's victory, that Obama Democrats have only one solution to the money woes caused by gluttonous spending: higher taxes. “The president campaigned around the country saying, 'We know what the problems are with this fiscal problem. We just need some revenue.'” So Obama will claim a mandate to soak the rich – and our American families (rich or not) will pay the painful price of tax-fueled budgeting.

We know that Obama's open support for homosexual 'marriage' fueled victories in Maryland, Washington, and Maine. And, in spite of liberal assurances to the contrary, homosexual “rights” do indeed create untenable situations (such as the transgendered male –now 'female'–who has a “protected right” in Washington state to invade the women's locker room and expose his unchanged genitals to young girls).

And Planned Parenthood, which spent millions of dollars to re-elect President Obama, will rely on the White House to 'stimulate' its lethal business. We can expect a push for federally-funded abortions under Obamacare. The 'family planning' experts are already moving aggressively to manipulate young girls into using contraceptive implants, IUDs, and emergency contraception – all without parental knowledge or consent.

When we abuse those freedoms, we will sow devastation – to ourselves, our families, and our country alike. A society built on sexual license, economic envy, and liberty-constricting government will not long stand. We have only to look back in history, to Rome, and across the ocean, to Europe, to see our future.

It's not a pretty picture. It's no wonder that some might feel so frustrated by this crushing defeat that they feel like withdrawing from the battle and giving up. And it's way too easy to feel bitter.

How to Save Your Family: Take the Pledge

It's not “all over” until we stop fighting.

The temptation is to want to be angry, to hoard everything, to just walk away. But that's exactly what Evil wants us to do, because if we become bitter and selfish and separate, then Evil has won.

So, join me in this pledge before God:

“ I commit to be more loving, to be more generous, to work harder. I commit to give more of my blessings to others before the government can steal them from me. I commit to helping lift my neighbor's spirit when the heavy hand of government comes crashing down. I commit to showing more love and being more bold in sharing my undying faith in God, even as oppressive government tries to silence me.

"I commit to redouble my efforts to preserve, restore, and fight for freedom every step of the way. I know that freedom works. And I know that those who love freedom must work hard; that freedom fights; that freedom is costly. I will live honorably, encourage others, and use every political avenue to ensure that American principles prevail. I will do what it takes - pay any price - for freedom.

"I will share the truth that marriage is sacred, and educate others to understand that it is only upon sound marriages that a sound nation is built. I will stand up for the helpless, be a voice for voiceless, and loudly proclaim that every innocent human life has infinite value and limitless potential.

"With determined hearts and the right tools, I know that we can restore the beauty of our American landscape.

"I know that our God is a God of miracles, and that He has not abandoned us.

"Conservative ideas and moral values – America's founding principles – are as true today as they were on Election Eve. With God's help, I will always do my best to make sure those values are restored for future generations.”

Let this be our sacred vow.

Let's make sure we're fighting for the right thing. In trying to save the Republic, Christians have all but given away the Kingdom.

The reason the election results were so devastating to most Christians is because, in disobedience to Psalm 118:8-9, they had their confidence (hope) in "princes" instead of Yahweh. It's time to get back to not only trusting and hoping in the KING of kings and LORD of lord and PRINCE of princes, but rejoicing in His sovereignty and that everything goes wrong just right.

From His lofty perspective, the election results were, in fact, exciting because Americans not only got what they deserved (Daniel 4:17) but what they needed. Hopefully after another four years of Obama, Americans will be humbled, return to their God, and repent of their confidence in man and his governments.

In my opinion, everything is pointing to what is the very beginning of what may very well be the most exciting paradigm shift in American history, outside possibly the early 17th-century when the Puritans established their governments upon Yahweh's commandments, statutes, and judgments. What a day we live in and how blessed we are to be ambassadors of the Almighty!

Absolutely right, Ted! We've done what the Israelites of old did when they rejected Yahweh as their king, when they stated: " make us a king to judge us like all the nations." (Referencing 1 Samuel 8)

Um...the religious right has been repudiated and "patriots" exist in all strata of society and political affiliations. How arrogant to suggest otherwise. Self deception is at the foundation of your views and beliefs.

One of our local candidates went out to "rescue" a woman working in a coffee bar featuring waitresses in sexy outfits. The waitress told the candidate she didn't need saving and to mind her own business.

Conservatives would find a more tolerant audience for economic policies if they minded their own business on social matters.

If we all followed with one heart a perfect set of laws/Standards in equity, there would be no real fighting. There's only fighting because there's so many world views which conflict. We have a National Multiplicity mindset because of tolerance to biblical intolerance.

Psalms 71:
1 In thee, O יהוה (YAH), do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion.

II Corinthians 13:
11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

Romans 15:
6 That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 12:
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

Philippians 2:
2 Fulfil ye my joy, that ye be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Isaiah 45:
16 They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.

Leviticus 26:
1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am יהוה (YAH) your Elohim.

Galatians 5:
26 Let us not become vain-glorious, challenging one another, envying one another.

While He may not have abandoned the "us", The "us" most certainly have abandoned Him! They continually and insanely participate in this 2, 4 & 6 year ritual of "voting" for evil A or evil B hoping for a "savior" to turn things around to their perception of what they think is good and evil.

God told the "us" that His Laws, Statutes and Judgments are perfect and that "you shall not add or subtract therefrom".

God is to be the only Lawmaker, not legislatures, presidents, etc., which the "us" have long ago forgotten and election after election (better described as "pre - selections") participate in the crime of adding and subtracting (mostly subtracting) therefrom by voting in those who will "make" laws.

"Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I will also forget your children." Hosea 3: 6.

So, "look at the landscape and assess the damage realistically" and, as the late Nord Davis Jr. used to say, "Learn to see what you're looking at".

Turning back to His Perfect Moral Laws, Statutes and Judgments is the ONLY solution.
