Thank you for calling it like it is, Burt. The liberal view of minorities is, in truth, the most racist view in the country. "The poor minorities, they cannot fend for themselves, therefore the government must take care of them." That is a plantation owners attitude. And the most depressing thought of all, is that most minorities can't even see the racism, and keep voting for the Dems, because they have come to depend on that government handout, when in truth, the handout was intended to keep the minorities under control.

Brian--Right you are. The shame of it is that far too many blacks buy into it, preferring to receive the scraps tossed to them from the table by liberals rather than stand on their own two feet. The fact that 95% of them give Obama high approval numbers, combined with the fact that people like Jeremiah Wright and Louis Farrakhan can get standing ovations from crowds numbering 20,000 in Chicago. suggests that, as John Edwards said, there are two Americas. But the two aren't the rich and the poor, but the black and the white. For what they helped bring about, LBJ and his fellow liberals should rot in hell.

It is refreshing to see common sense plain spoken truth printed and open for response. I hope candidates emerge this fall who aren't afraid to speak the truth due to the culture of political correctness. Liberals are the party of slavery (to government)!

REPEAL 1964 Civil Rights legislation. We have a Bill of Rights.

And that is exactly where they are, "where their worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched." Mark 9:44. No matter how may preachers tried to put them somewhere else, the fact remains, they were "traitors", "under a solemn Oath of Office", violating their oath, they made "their contributions" to the destruction of this Beloved Country which was designed by our Founders to be the "habitation of God" on the earth.

I wait for the "Restoration of the Constitution". All these laws "framed by mischief" to insulate US from Our Beloved Foundations, must be REPEALED.

LBJ began the "Nanny" state for Blacks, and Obama plans to finish the job by destroying the ability to earn our "daily bread" in the free enterprise system system. Then all Races who are not members of the priviledged class of academics, entertainers and government employees will be dependent Obama's "NEW Society"!

It is the hoax of all time that the Liberals have pulled on America, by convincing most people that Democrats are the champions of minorities while those evil Republicans plot ways to eat black children for breakfast.

The reality is quite the opposite. Liberal tampering with education has left minorities trampled under a cult of mediocrity. Liberal tampering with entitlements has left minorities dependent on government largess and actually convinced they cannot do without it. Liberal tampering with the economy has left minorities convinced they cannot get ahead in America on hard work and determination. Liberal meddling in media has convinced minorities of the most outrageous and self-destructive lies imaginable. These policies have led to the spread of diseases, the spread of illiteracy, an explosion of illegitimacy, a culture of dependency, and a victimhood mentality that's simply a blame-game designed to milk the system for greater handouts.

Contrast that with the facts of Conservative policies. Conservatives advocate for English as the official language, making ESL programs unnecessary (just as they were when prior generations of immigrants came here). Conservatives lobby for economic liberty, making it easier to get ahead through hard work and determination. Conservatives lobby for much higher standards in education, so that nearly all students regardless of color graduate with advanced skills that enable them to compete in the workforce for good jobs. Conservatives advocate for traditional values that place the family at the centerpiece of society and encourage behaviors that lead to success while discouraging behaviors that lead to failure.

Ah yes, it's easy to see who the haters really are. The Liberals just a better PR machine.

I must say I am inevitably encouraged when I read the responses here at the Patriot Post. It's always reassuring to be reminded that there are decent, clear-thinking, Americans around. Living in L.A., as I do, one can easily lose sight of that fact.

Being from Massachusetts, Burt, I feel the same way every time I come here. In fact, I think that's going to be one of things I say to the nice people at the Tea Party meeting tomorrow night. Gonna add it to the remarks I had already planned to make.

My wife and I were talking about the elections in Iraq and how the media was focusing on the isolated violence but totally ignoring the larger and MUCH more important story. I was telling her that the Sunnis were a small minority causing nearly all the problems there, whereas the Shia were the majority and liked our ideas about majority rule.

Then I got into how important ideas really can change the world. That's not just a slogan or a cliche. Larry Elder wrote a column last December describing how the pro-Democracy demonstrators in Iran cited the Democratic reforms in Iraq as their direct inspiration. Clear proof that ideas can totally change the world. Ronald Reagan stood at the Brandenberg Gate and gave a speech about liberty and prosperity, and urged President Gorbachev to "tear down this wall." The German people on both sides of the wall heard that speech and were inspired. Ideas really can change the world.

Every time a Conservative columnist writes a column about the truth, it influences people's thinking. The columns I've read here on PatriotPost have nudged my thinking along and helped formulate the ideas I'll be expressing to others Monday evening -- here in the capitol of the Liberal universe, Massachusetts.
