After all, Bob Byrd apologized for being a member of the Ku Klux Klan. None of the others expressed that sentiment. And it really never mattered. They were Democrats and they felt the people's pains and suffering. Bob Byrd supported spending dollar upon dollar to keep LBJ's "Great Society" ever expanding.

As for your question about certain immigrants flourishing while native born Americans can't or won't succeed beyond certain barriers; it is called work ethic. Some have it; some don't. Those who have a work ethic succeed, while those who have no work ethic blame everyone else for their troubles.

By-the-bye, Burt, when was the last time that you read about or saw a news story about a Black Conservative cast in a positive light. Never has happened and never will. Problem is that liberals have no other rational arguments for pushing their socialist agenda, so typical are the attacks that garner the most disparagement in American society.

That is, no one wants to be called a racist; so by doing so, they can continue to evade discussing the illegitimacy of their unconstitutional positions and push their perverse idealistic value system on the American public.

These expressions are getting passé and the American public is beginning to see their ploys; tax the greedy rich, Republicans don't care about middle class working Americans, Conservatives disparage the "poor unfortunate," social injustice, LGBT discrimination, and intolerance, ad infinitum, ad nausea.

Without attaching such reproachful labels to Republicans and Conservatives, Socialist liberals cannot intelligently make a case nor support their socialist agendas and get reelected. They must ridicule and break others down, just to build and hold themselves up for continuing their pathological collectivist policies.

I have tried to rationally discuss liberal policies too many times with democrats, but in the end they quickly run out of logic; so they instead resort very quickly to name calling. Pat retorts such as bigot, redneck, caveman, tea baggers, ignorant, uneducated, etc. is their trademark responses. So who really are the ignorant and uneducated?

Once there WAS a divide in both the political parties. Their "conservative" sides wanted to keep the racial barriers up while their "liberal" sides wanted to tear them down. The anti-racist elements were clear in their aim for equality. The racist elements WERE embedded much more deeply, though by no means exclusively, in the Democratic Party, and Blacks knew it, and voted much more heavily for Republicans then.

Demogogues have always seen the race conflict as a great source of voter motivation. Democrats never changed. They have always stirred the same pot. They simply moved around to the other side of it, when that appeared to be where the votes could best be leveraged.

The saddest thing is the degree to which they have poisoned the Black community in the process. The perversity of Whites leading Blacks in the Hate Whitey movement (not us, those other ones), in order to secure their votes, is appalling.

1) How many million Black babies aborted? 20? 30?

2) How many Democrat controlled cities on the list of the top ten most wretched for Blacks? Answer is all of them...

3) Statistics for Black unemployment under Obama? Shhhhhh...

4) The utter destruction of the two-parent Black family as a direct result of Liberal policy.

5) The determined entrapment of Black children in hideously dysfunctional "schools", etc., etc....

They are all useful idiots. They align themselves with those who hold them in contempt. Most of them are to stupid to realize that they are at a point and time where those in power want them to be forever trapped.

Ever notice who wants the race issue going strong. To who's advantage is the issue? Why the blacks, of course. I know, "but we were slaves". I don"t recall any of my family owning any, but I do recall many of my family tree dying in the civil war to free the slaves.

To a great extent, we are all the same; white, black, asian or, Indian. The issue, in my view, has never been about skin color; it has been about wealth and intelligence (or the lack thereof). The elites whether Republican or Democrat, do not distinguish race, if you are not a multi-multi millionaire you might as well be any race. White or black, we are all slaves to the elites. That is a fact. If any of you are in doubt, stop paying your taxes and see what happens. The only color the IRS sees is green; the IR$ being the collection agency for the elites. Its fun to think that our voices matter, yet the sad fact is, unless you can afford to buy a lobbyist, your screaming and yelling just disappears into the void; much like the space between so many politician's ears. We live in a time when opportunity, innovation, manufacturing and everything else is diminishing quicker than ever. The fancy of the elites has already been paid in full by the blood of our children and grand-children and so on. Man, it's not only here in the USA where Whitey has got the black "man" down, it's world-wide. You name the country, virtually, and you'll find a similar story there as to welfare, crime rates, jail/prison population, unemployment, out of wedlock births, abortions, broken homes, etc, etc. "Whitey" is holding down the blacks around the globe ... while all other minorities are free to go and grow as they please. My business partners family has lived in South Africa as far back as 200 years. That would in anyone's eyes, be an African. He's white. If he moved here to the USA and became a USA citizen he'd be an African American. And that's the only way someone can be an African American-born there, become a citizen here. Being black does not make anyone automatically African, especially since being from the continent of Africa (there is no country called just Africa) and also because Egyptians and Libyans aren't always black either. If you are born here and are black you are an American and you are black. Calling ones self African American especially when it's not evident how much white blood is mixed in, is simply a way to attain special status, usually victim status. Being light skinned doesn't mean my "white" ancestors kept slaves. All light skinned people are not from the same area. Being black does not mean you have slave ancestry. I personally never had a slave and I resent being manipulated by people who may or may not even have slave ancestors.

I have never fully understood how the liberals have managed to successfully tar conservatives with the racist brush. This is only one of the many areas in which republicans have been incredibly incompetent in defending themselves.

I think part of the perception problem has been that for the past 40 years republicans haven't been willing to lie nearly as blatantly as the democrats have. Republicans have greatly suffered for "Taking the high road." Joe Wilson was excoriated for his "You lie!" comment during Obama's September health care speech, but he was only speaking the truth. I feel that it is long past time for republicans to stand up to the democrats every single time they lie, no matter when and where they are lying. There has been a double standard of decorum for as long as I can remember and I'm almost 49. It's time to descend from the high road and do battle with the liberals in the trenches. Sling the liberal's own mud right back in their faces. To hell with decorum, the truth is what really matters.

Republicans are far more colorblind than democrats and it is time to tell the whole story to the American people. Racial preferences are racist policies. Affirmative Action is blatant racial discrimination. Guilt ridden liberal democrats think that somehow two wrongs make a right. The CBC is just as racist as the KKK, La Raza and the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. As long as any of those groups or people are tolerated, the racial divide will be as vast as the grand canyon. The democrats count on that to bolster their election coffers and ballot boxes. Who's the Racist? It's obvious to any thinking person who a few basic facts.

My only comment here is that you are correct with one exception. Those who are born here SHOULD be able to speak the language. 'Ebonics' is neither English (the language of America) nor is it the language of any African I've ever known or heard of. Ebonics is a made up vernacular with no foundation in linguistics or rationale.

I will add that a hispanic man I worked with years ago, a 6th generation hispanic from Colorado at that, could hardly speak proper English because as he said, he was 'mexican'. At 6 generations, you'd think he'd be American. And no, mexican isn't a race. It's a nationality, as in from Mexico.

Most Asians I've known, including my own wife, speak better English than most native born Americans because they WANT to be Americans. They want to have allegiance with America, they want to assimilate into American culture. Not 'white' culture, mind you, but American culture.

Wheeler---I would guess that blacks are also a nationality then as they came fron africa right? That settels it then, there are no minorities. Man I feel better knowing that I am not a racist. I beleive that the english language is the most dominant, not an official language of this country. Maybe the gov't. should take these people and put them in re-education schools, like they did with my grandmother and teach them english. Grandma spoke indian when she grew up but the gov't take over of the indian tribes and establishment of reservations allowed them to put indian children in these schools, and cut their hair so they would look white(american?) and speak the language. She spoke indian only among her people and not in public places. As your friend spoke mexican because he was, he should respect the language of the country he lives in and speak it. I have been many places and spoke enough of their language to get by but never retained any of it as I did not plan to live there. I feel no need to learn a second or third language in this country for we speak english. I went to a naturalization swearing in with my daughter who is a court lawyer for the judge performing the ceremony and watched the pride in these people who were being granted citizenship. I also watched with amazement how many of them had a relative answer the queations to their respective party for them. They couldn't speak english nor understand the questions they were asked. I thought citizenship required the ability to communicate the language of this country to be a citizen? I guess not.

I believe that the Democrat vs. Republican, Left vs. Right, Conservative vs. Liberals, and Black vs. White are pendulums to shift our focus that have worked great for the men who control us. We have elected good people and sent them to Washington only to have them corrupted by the bribes of the lobbyist and advice of those that are already entrenched in the corruption. These are people who have honed the skills of buying someone off to a fine art so crafty that Jesus himself could have been taken by their deceit. Once our representatives have arrived and succumb to this corruption and their newfound treasures our chance of being treated fairly by this government is lost. Anyone offering gifts of any value or advice to sway the representative’s judgment should be imprisoned. And any representative accepting these gifts or advice should also be imprisoned. As it stands now we are being governed by full court of traitors (not jesters) these men aren’t as foolish as they act. I would have never imagined that the mark of the beast would have been so simple as a particular political party affiliation. (the ASS or the ELEPHANT)

How do you secure a solid voting base for yourself? There are many ways, but a good one is to convince a whole group of people that they're oppressed, and that THOSE folks over there are responsible. They're your oppressors. It helps if there's a grain of truth in it. Then you talk about righting the injustice, but instead of helping the members of the group help themselves, you tempt them with free money.

Special programs, welfare, food stamps, affirmative action in schools and workplaces, etc. Get them so dependent on these programs that they can't imagine living without them. Meanwhile, keep stirring that racial pot, blaming every imaginable thing on THOSE folks over there, even if when you have make stuff up. Lie.

Of course, these programs cost a whopping wad of cash, and they get worse every year. Pretty soon the people paying for all this crap start to resent getting stuck with the bill, and they want cuts. That's when you go into action and start race-hustling in earnest. Start demonizing THOSE folks as haters who want to cut those "needed" programs not because the programs are wrong or wasteful, but because they hate the recipient group for no other reason than their skin is a different color. They want the group to die, that's why they lobby for such mean and sadistic cuts.

Voila! You've got a whole group of people with a serious vested interest in voting for you. 2008 saw something like 90% of black voters casting their lot for the invisible Marxist, Barack Hussein Obama. Did he care about them? Not a bit. Unemployment among blacks is higher under Obama than it's been in 30 years or more. One of his first acts was to eliminate the highly successful school voucher program in DC area schools, which consigned tens of thousands of black kids to inferior DC public schools. Like all Liberals Obama works hard to perpetuate the dependency programs and actively destroys anything that might help the black community thrive and prosper without government handouts.

It probably wouldn't work on just the monetary incentive. People aren't as dumb as Liberals always assume. Enough of them would figure it out; and there's always a large number of people who would rather take their chances earning their own living than dance to the government's tune for a handout. No, that's why the Left is always working double time to stir up the racial tension. They have to keep that animosity hot or the whole thing might fall apart.

It's a massive con, like everything else the Left says and does. And what's cool about is, more and more blacks are waking up to the game. The Thomas Sowells and Larry Elders and Bill Cosbys of the world are having an effect. And the Burt Prelutskys too, because every time we expose another Leftist media lie, we make another convert. We awaken another sleeping American. I don't care if we have to do it one person at a time, by god we will wake them all up!
